After the defeating the Sabertooth Pirates, the Beast Pirates returned to the island to celebrate. The entire crew was drunk and sprawled out all over the place, laughter and snores blending into the night air. I lay on Selene's lap, talking with her about how wild our lives had become — a journey of extreme highs and lows. This island was another small island on New World name Kaome
Selene looked at me and asked "I remember when the pirates attacked you with sword it only gave you a red mark is that your fruit power"
"No I do not think so at that time we did not ate the fruit that time" I bring a sword from a drunken pirates "Let's check it out" I used a sword and stabbed it on me again and again but now when I can control my fruit powers it does not even hurt me.
"Well looks like it does not even hurt me now" I said to Selene
"Wow its true are all Oni race like you are monsters like Kaido" Selene said and look at the sleeping Yamato with a weird look "Will this cute sister will be a monster too".
My mouth twitched at her words in my mind I thought if we oni race are monster then what are you Lunarian Race are when the flame is down defence decrease a lot and the speed increases like a lot and when the flame burns she invulnerable I look at her naïve face and thought she is a little loli till now after all and she does not know about anything.
I said "Well I do not think so".
Selene said "Is that so?" clearly not believing me.
I then asked "Selene are you ok with it? I mean pirates destroyed our island and we also now became pirates and I took you with me without asking".
Selene said "Well do not worry about it I will follow you where ever you go did not we promised we will look after each other in orphanage and if King uncle pledged his loyalty to Kaido it means he is a good guy I do not know why but for some reason I trust the people of my race".
I sighed knowing Lunarian's are only loyal to one person in their whole life and are finding the Sun God Nika or as we say Joyboy but King and Selene are loyal to me and Kaido.
I then asked her "Hey Selene will you ever leave me if I ever did something wrong"
Selene look at me and then cuddle up beside me "why should I leave you, we are best friends after all and do not we promise to be together no matter what even you fought against the Kaido I will be with you and if we have been sold as slaves I will take you with me".
Hearing her words for the first time after crossing over I felt at being at home and I realise this is not the world of Anime or Manga it is a real world with real people with real emotion. And a guilt for thinking her as a strong ally vanished and thought of making her friend came to me and also I started to feel how can I kill people so easily feeling a little guilty.
I was still processing how I had gone from being a normal young man in my previous life to now, a 1-year-old child who had already killed seven people on his very first day in this new world.
And now all my guilt was clear I know what I have to do, at first I thought of becoming the strongest but now I know I need to protect her. I look at her who have fallen asleep hugging me and Yamato and a smile spread across my face and I whispered "Thank You" and fall asleep hugging both Yamato and Selene. I know what I have to do to become so strong that no one tries to harm my loved ones ever again and both I and Selene were much tired for that hassle.
Far away, at the first half of the grandline in Paradise on a crescent moon shape island there is a huge building and one word written on it Justice it is the Navy Headquarters, the news of the Sabertooth Pirates annihilation reached the top brass. Fleet Admiral Sengoku, still young but already known as the Resourceful General, sighed and rubbed his temples. "Officer, go and increase the bounty of the Beast Pirates," he ordered, clearly exasperated. Vice Admiral Tsuru, wise and sharp as ever, added, "The New World is becoming more chaotic. The Roger Pirates, Whitebeard Pirates, Flying Pirates, Big Mom Pirates, and Beast Pirates... they are dominating the new world. And then there are more than 5 pirates with bounties over 500 million. If this continues, the Navy may be forced to retreat to the Red Line." Sengoku sighed and said "I know that but we are short on staff and the new generations of admirals are not ready it but we used to have 5 great recruits Akainu, the Magma fruit user but this guy is too radical, Kuzan, the Ice fruit user this guys is good, Borsalino with Light fruit this guy is too lazy, Smoker, the smoke fruit user till this guy is wasting most of his talent and there is Dragon son of Garp with Storm fruit but he left the army and created the revolutionary army to fight against world government" . Sengoku sighed but Tsuru said "We still have Akainu,Kuzan and Borsalino, They will be the next pillar for our Navy".
Sengoku looked out of the window and sighed " I do not know but something is wrong why this world is becoming so chaotic ".
Back on the Beast Pirates' ship, Selene and I were taking care of baby Yamato, playing with her as she giggled and crawled around. Two days has passed by after that fight and today Selene also found a newspaper and bring it to us and told me "Azrak, Azrak look the bounty of many people have increased". I look at the paper and saw Kaido's 2.3billion bounty, Jin's 800milion and Queen's 750million and another cadre name Maniel 600million looking at him I got dejavu yellow hair and red horns I think I have seen him somewhere "wow all of them are monsters" I said and sighed.
After a week or so Kaido called us over. He handed us a training book for Observation Haki and other minor training's or something like growth training. "Oi brat do not train now your body is not ready for it and anyway" ."Brat looking at you your body's defence is only second to that old lady Linlin if she is called Steel Balloon you could be called Brass Balloon" and then started to laugh where as my face become gloomy at his mocking tone but I was also happy that I have a good defence only second to Big Mom and then Kaido look at Selene "And you brat you have good potential and qualification's so work hard brat donot waste the potential" and then he smiled at us looking at the smile was there softness in his eyes I was confused I never thought Kaido have such a soft side then Kaido's gaze become sharp and said "now you two brats eat more meat and fish and good fruits and become strong and larger"
I eagerly asked when we'd start training, and Kaido laughed heartily. "You two are still too young. You don't need to worry — I'll protect you both until you're ready." In that moment, I felt it — I was not only a pawn for him. We were truly a part of the Beast Pirates and then Kaido said "you two brat will start training from five by King"
I asked him "Will you not train us" Kaido laughed "Nah you two brats need to defeat King only then I will start training you"
Three months passed. Selene and I became like Yamato's older siblings in everything but blood. She had started walking and calling us 'Brother' and 'Sister,' and I was completely overwhelmed by her cuteness. Between Yamato and Selene, my heart was constantly under siege. And I also noticed all the pirates never bully me and Selene as we were given attention by Kaido and we take care of their Young Master Yamato so they know our rank will be very high in the future beast pirates so we got not much trouble from the normal pirates. On the other hand I and Selene was trying to increase our body's power and speed and I continue to practice my Observation Haki and my heart listening observation Haki increased but till I cannot dodge attacks and Selene to cannot learn the Observation Haki too and dodge attack but we continue to practice 3months goes by.
One day, as we rested on an isolated island, King told me, Selene and Yamato to stay together because someone will come to meet Kaido from Wano. As King said it I run my mind and I remember from my previous life's memory something. During this time the Kurozumi siblings will come to Kaido and invite him to Wano and in Wano, there was a mythical Zoan Devil Fruit — the Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi. I walked up to Kaido, "Kaido bend here" and he did and whispered in his ear, "Old man, in Wano they have the Orochi fruit. Ask for it. I want it."
Kaido raised an eyebrow. "Where'd you hear that?"
I quickly made up a story about the old man from our orphanage telling us legends of Wano. Kaido stared for a moment, then nodded. He turned around and shook his hand donot worry I will ask for it if you want it.
Soon a visitor arrived — a ship from Wano. It was the Kurozumi siblings: Kurozumi Higurashi and her brother. They came to ask Kaido when he would fulfil his promise and come to Wano. Kaido just grunted. He clearly wanted to go but didn't want to show it and save his face. "I'll come when I feel like it," he said. And Kurozumi's eyes become sharp and said "Kaido we cannot wait for Kouzuki Oden to comeback we should do it before he returns or else we will be in problem."
Kaido's eyes become serious "Old hag are you ordering me what to do I Kaido will go whenever I like and I donot care about Oden."
Kurozumi sibling's were stunned Kurozumi Higurashi and tremble cause they forgot about Kaido's nature Kaido was a ferocious pirate and he can kill them now they trembled and said "Well we are sorry about it Kaido" Kaido exhale a large amout of carbondioxide from his nose
"If you want me to go to Wano give me the Mythical Zoan Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi orelse forget about it" Kaido said.
The siblings were stunned and asked "where did you get that news" she hesitated but eventually retrieved it from their ship.
Kaido took it and called me handing it to me, I snatched it with a grin. "This one's mine, old man."
Kaido chuckled. "You know you can't eat two Devil Fruits, right?"
"I know, I'm keeping it for my future crewmate," I said, running off with the fruit.
Kaido just laughed louder at my antics.
Then Kaido become serious "In two months," Kaido replied with a gruff voice. "I will go to Wano" The two siblings were a little down cast as they wanted Kaido to go now but soon they cheerup and started to leave, only half-satisfied. But before going Kaido invited them in a banquet to have a banquet, I just sighed in this world most of the pirates enjoys banquet a lot.
Throughout the whole process Kurozumi's eyes were always on me and I feel it with my listening to heart and I was cautious of her and made sure she does not see Selene or Yamato I do not know what bad things this old woman was plotting.
The pirates sang,drunk and roast meat to eat.
During the party was going on Kurozumi Higurashi approached me and asked "hey boy are you Kaido's son".
"Nope, I am the person who will defeat him and become the strongest" I said and started to walk away because from the time Kaido gave the devil fruit to me she is hiding killing intent for me and I can confirmed it with my heart listening observation haki and after hearing my words I felt she thought of killing me and take the fruit back but I release my Conqueror's Haki and make her stunned for a bit and said "Do not even think about taking back the fruit you old hag" My Conqueror's Haki has also become a little stronger after 3months of training. And seeing my haki she retreated knowing very well if she lay a hand on me she will be killed even before she layed a hand on me as she has weakened a lot after the disbandment of the Rocks Pirates and she can already feel 4 stronger Observation Haki had locked on her.
And soon the party ended and next morning the Kurozumi siblings left from the island in a hurry. And this small farce came to an end.
One month pass by very soon. Meanwhile, Selene and I continued eat and drink a lot increasing our appetite and stamina and enjoying our time with Yamato. The Beast pirates took their leisure time to reach Wano. One morning, standing at the ship's railing, we finally saw them — the massive, looming mountains and waterfalls of Wano in the distance.
