"Team eight, winner".
The referee says as he climbs into the ring.
The old man gets up and starts to walk towards the ring. He wears a slight smile on his face.
Choda, just getting up calls out to the man.
"The hell! Why you just forfeit you coward?".
The man stops walking.
"I'm the coward for not choosing to beat up on meer children playing superheroes? Or maybe i'm just tired of seeing people with no true motivations trying to take this path".
He turns his head to see choda.
"What's your goal kid?".
Choda pauses for a moment, pondering on the question.
"I want to be a hero".
"Is that all you wish to accomplish? Just getting a title? What do you want to do, and give me a better answer than that".
"I-... I want to be someone who's known for saving others, I want to help others and get famous. I want to be the best in the world, like Crimson Mist was".
The old man chuckles softly, he turns back walking out the ring. "Crimson Mist, you've got a long way to go before you get on the level he was kiddo".
Haven, Benji, and Kaitlyn walks over to choda, Benji profusely sweating and breathing heavily. A man in a black suit walks over to the four of them just after.
"You guys can head this way out the ring, water and protein snacks are up ahead. You can also head to the recovery tent if you have any injuries".
The man sits on the middle rope while pushing the top rope up, giving them an easier way out the ring.
The group exits the ring going over to the water station and grabbing some protein snacks. They walk back to their tent and rest until the second round is set to begin.
Next up was team seven against team five, team seven lost and got sent home. Team five was sent back up to their tent.
Next was team two and team three.
Benji shoots up out of his sleep.
"Yo guys that kid from earlier was in the third tent wasnt he? He should be fighting right now!".
Kaitlyn gets up off of a stool.
"You know what you're right, that kid was in tent three".
The four of them get up and start to walk over to where they can see the ring. As the four reach the ledge they look down at the ring. The kid from earlier and the rest of his team stand there over team two. All of team two already laying flat on their faces, the kid adjusts his tie before turning around and exiting the ring.
The groups eyes widen, the twenty or so spectators around the ring clapping, judges giving standing ovations.
"But... the match just started".
Choda says to the group.
Benji nervously smiles.
"Well i mean maybe team two just wasn't cut out for the tournament after all then am I right or what guys".
Haven sighs before sitting back down.
"I wouldn't say all that".
The tournament went on a thirty minute break after that match signaling the end of round one, it was announced fifteen minutes in that team eight would face team one, leaving team three to face team five.
After the thirty minutes were up Choda and the rest were called down to face group one. The fight ensued and Chodas team won easily. Getting sent back up to the tent to watch team three and one fight.
The group made sure to watch on this go around, closely watching the boy from earlier. As they watched the boy glanced up noticing they were watching him.
He sent a wink gliding towards the group right before the fight started. As soon as it started his three teammates stood still relaxing on the ropes as only the boy ran forward. The opposing team ran at the boy aswell, raising their fists.
A blue flash blinded Choda, Benji, Haven, and Kaitlyn causing them to all turn away from the light while scrunching their faces. After about a second they look back to see all members of team five on the ground in various positions knocked out cold. The boy fixes his tie and runs his hands through his hair.
He looked up to the group of them with a cocky smile and pointed to them.
