The boy pov
The Kyung-soo Family
Mr. Kyung-soo
"Kai, you must marry Mr. Kim's daughter. That is my final word—no discussion."
Those were my father's words, right after his boring talk about business and his desire to enter the corporate world. Then, without warning, he dropped his bomb on me.
I had been sitting there, listening with complete disinterest, stifling yawns—I'd been asleep before my mother came in and told me Father wanted to talk. So, I dragged myself out of my room, still groggy, wearing only my knee-length shorts.
His office was on the third floor, conveniently near my huge bedroom—my own large room—my private sanctuary where I could hide from the constant noise of the family.
Anyway… back to the main point.
It seems my father has grown old enough to believe his orders will be obeyed just as he envisions.
"I refuse."
That was my blunt answer.
He spoke again, clearly irritated."I have already agreed on your behalf… and we've even set the wedding date. It will be next week."
"I won't marry just any girl you throw at me, so don't even try."
Father ignored my words completely, his tone sharp and final."You will marry her, so accept it quickly. Also, the two of you will meet tomorrow to get to know each other."
I clenched my fists until my nails dug into my palms, my jaw tightening in anger as I stood there. You might wonder why I didn't keep insisting, or threaten to run away from this ridiculous arrangement. The answer is simple: I can't.
Even if I dug a tunnel to the other side of the earth, my father could drag me back in an instant.
His military influence is infuriating—it reaches everywhere. That's why, despite my family being among the wealthiest in Korea, my personal freedom is… well, almost nonexistent. Sad, isn't it?
With a bitter taste in my mouth, I threw on some casual clothes and headed out. I needed to get away, to see Chris—my childhood friend. Maybe, just maybe, I could forget my father's heavy-handed orders for a while.

Writer's POV
The Next Day
The two families met in one of Seoul's most prestigious restaurants. The air was scented with expensive wine and grilled delicacies; the quiet clinking of silverware was drowned out by the tension between the young man and woman about to be introduced.
Kai and son —two strangers about to be bound by our parents' decisions—locked eyes for the first time. There was no spark, no warmth, just the heavy look of mutual indifference.
Mr. Kyung-soo greeted the girl warmly. "Hello, my dear. You must be Son hi."
I nodded, bowing lightly in respect, giving him a small bow.
I was wearing a fitted blouse that hugged my upper curves, paired with a soft pink skirt that complemented my white blouse, the top two buttons left open stylish, but still decent.
The young man, coincidentally, wearing a crisp white shirt too—also with the top two buttons undone—paired with slim black jeans. His posture was casual, his expression unreadable
"Yes, Uncle, I'm Son hi ."
My father's friend turned to his son with a wide smile. "Kai, you're lucky to have her, my dear boy."
My cheeks flushed at my father's friend's words, while Kai only gave a mocking smirk.
I looked more closely at him, realizing I hadn't paid attention to his features before. Then my eyes widened in surprise."You… arrogant jerk! What are you doing here?"
He stood up to face me."Who are you calling an arrogant jerk, you sharp-tongued brat?"
Both of us were shocked to see each other here—neither expected to run into their sworn enemy.
{Kyung-soo Kai —known among the students as "The King," adored by the girls, famous for his arrogance and his ruthless rejections. Dating was the last thing on his mind. He loved basketball and captained the academy's team, spending most of his free time on the court training for upcoming matches. His athletic build hardly matched that of a typical nineteen-year-old; muscle packed his frame.
Kim Son hi —known as the 'Fairy of the High School'—sweet, quiet, and gentle.nature. She avoided boys to keep her reputation untarnished. A graceful figure, with a dancer's strength from years of ballet practice.
The two are infamous as sworn rivals in the academy, their clashing personalities well-known to everyone.}
Mr. Kim interrupted."Good. Since you already know each other, this will make things easier."
I muttered sarcastically,"Who doesn't know Kai, the cold, conceited one?"
Kai shot back irritably,"Watch your words, idiot."
"Who are you calling an idiot?" I retorted, standing up. Kai did the same
And just like that, the meeting descended into chaos. I stormed out of the restaurant, heels clicking against the marble floor, and Kai followed soon after, his irritation matching mine.
From the table, Mr. Kyung-soo sighed. "Did they really just fight in front of us?"
Mr. Kim chuckled. "Seems like it…Forget it—in the end, they'll get married, and they'll fall in love."
Both men laughed, returning to their wine, certain their plan would work.

Back to the Present
And that's how they ended up, days later, marrying in front of wealthy families and the press.
And so, here we are. Two people who once could barely stand each other, now standing side by side in front of Korea's elite families and a wall of flashing cameras.
Standing beside Kai, Son's thoughts wandered back to the events of the past few days, until the voice of the officiant broke her daze.
"Miss Kim Son-hi, do you take Mr. Kyung-soo Kai to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish, for better or worse, in sickness and in health?"
She answered hesitantly, "Yes."
The officiant turned to the groom."Mr. Kyung-soo Kai, do you take Miss Kim Son-hi to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to cherish, for better or worse, in sickness and in health?"
Kaianswer was calm, almost cold "Yes."
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Congratulations. You may kiss the bride.."
Son's face tensed, and she shook her head slightly, signaling him not to. But Kai, feeling a strong urge to annoy her, stepped closer, his arm sliding around her lace-clad waist, pulling her body against his until only inches separated them. Before I could protest, his lips captured mine in a deep, unhurried French kiss, his victory clear in the way his mouth moved against mine. My body shivered involuntarily, and I cursed myself for reacting at all.
His other hand circled her neck as he drew her face closer and captured her lips in a deep French kiss, savoring the victorious feeling as he sensed her body tremble in his arms.
He finally broke the kiss amid the applause surrounding them, then took her hand, wrapping it around his arm as they walked down from the stage toward their families.
Mr. Kim greeted us warmly. "Congratulations, our little Son and dear Kai. We wish you a long and happy life together."
"Thank you" They both thanked him quietly.
Kai's parents stepped forward."Congratulations, children."
"Thanks" Kai replied politely.
Chris, Kai's childhood friend, clapped him on the shoulder with a grin, while Ria, my closest friend, hugged me tightly.
Once they had greeted everyone, the newlyweds departed for the Son family's luxury hotel on Jeju Island, where a private suite had been prepared for them to spend a week alone before returning to the academy.
Hours later, they arrived. Their suite had been prepared to perfection—meals arranged, champagne chilled, and our wardrobes stocked for the entire week.
Kai entered the suite first, tossing his suit jacket onto the long sofa, loosening his tie and tossing it aside. He unbuttoned his shirt completely, placing it beside the jacket, removed his shoes, and kicked them away before heading into the bathroom for a hot shower to wash off the day's exhaustion.
Son silently watched his every move, holding up the hem of her white wedding gown so she could walk without tripping.
A few minutes later, Kai emerged in a bathrobe and went into the dressing room to find something to wear. She decided to shower next.
Two minutes into the bathroom, she was still struggling to undo the zipper of her dress. After several frustrating attempts, she finally called for him to help.
He appeared at the doorway, an amused glint in his eyes. "Need help?"
After a string of sarcastic remarks, he approached the bathroom door, unzipping her gown—but not without running his fingers slowly down her back in the process.
A strange shiver ran through her, but she stayed silent, knowing he'd mock her and accuse her of trying to seduce him. Instead, she clutched the front of the dress to keep it from slipping and revealing her chest.
Once he finished, she darted into the bathroom and shut the door behind her.
