Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: Birth of a Divine Race

"1090 divine powers! And a new domain, the Hell Dimension! This feels amazing!"

Roland Phils was ecstatic. Even as a mid-tier true god, he could not suppress the excitement in his heart.

From his understanding of divine ranks, once he gathered ten thousand divine powers, he would have the chance to ignite the Divine Fire.

If successful, he would step into the realm of a Main God, a being capable of standing against multiversal titans.

At that level, he could tear apart the barriers of the multiverse with his bare hands, traveling freely across countless parallel timelines. That was the realm of true supremacy.

Inside Roland's core divine domain, the Realm of Life, changes had already begun.

The size of the Realm of Life had expanded ten thousand times over.

From twenty-five thousand square kilometers, it now stretched across 250 million square kilometers.

The ratio of land to water remained the same, six parts land and four parts sea.

That meant Roland now presided over 150 million square kilometers of land, nearly equal to the landmass of Earth itself.

In total area, his divine realm was already half the size of Earth.

A single divine domain rivaling half a planet, something never before seen.

Within the vast expanse of the Realm of Life stood three titanic divine trees: the Tree of Life, the Tree of Light, and the Tree of Reincarnation. Their crowns pierced the heavens, their roots anchored the world.

With Roland's rise in power, these trees had grown beyond imagination, their heights invisible to the naked eye.

And now, a fourth landmark had appeared: the Gate of Hell.

It towered like a mountain, radiating an aura of death. Black mist swirled endlessly from its depths.

Gazing at the combination of three trees and one gate, Roland fell silent.

After a long pause, he raised his hand and made a decision.

The Tree of Light uprooted itself, transforming into a blazing sun that rose high into the skies of his domain.

"With the power of Light, I create the sun to shine upon this world. Let my divine realm be filled with hope and radiance!"

His voice thundered through the heavens.

Brilliant sunlight bathed the lands, bringing warmth and life.

Trees sprouted rapidly, flowers bloomed in waves, and the fragrance of grass and blossoms filled the air.

Birds, insects, and beasts rejoiced. Wings fluttered, voices sang.

The Realm of Life underwent a great transformation.

But Roland did not stop. He continued to chant.

"With the Gate of Hell as the beginning, the Gate of Reincarnation as the end, and the Tree of Life as the cradle… I summon one hundred thousand souls. Be reborn through reincarnation. Let life flourish!"

Divine power erupted.

The Gate of Hell burst open, releasing countless wandering souls.

Each soul was drawn into the Gate of Reincarnation, purified and guided into a new cycle.

This time, however, Roland altered the process.

Instead of entering mortal wombs, the souls were absorbed into the Tree of Life, becoming fruit of life.

Four kinds of fruit formed, each marked with a unique sigil.

The first bore the mark of the Hell Gate, granting a connection to underworld spirits and the power to judge evil. They would be the Hellborn.

The second carried the mark of the Book of Reincarnation, destined to wield divination and prophecy. They would be the Seers of Reincarnation.

The third bore the mark of the Sun, gifted with strong mental power and holy magic. They would be the Children of Light.

The fourth carried the mark of the Tree of Life itself, blessed with vitality and unmatched physical strength. They would be the Lifeborn.

Thus Roland birthed four great races, each carrying divine power.

The fruits matured rapidly, nourished by divine energy, and within them memories of growth were implanted through the Gate of Reincarnation.

One by one, new beings emerged from the Tree of Life.

They looked like humans in form, but on their foreheads were the sigils of their race.

Despite their human-like appearance, their bodies and strength far surpassed humanity.

Each one was born with sixth-tier power, capable of flight and combat.

Any one of them on Earth would be seen as a superhero, a godlike figure.

Like Asgardians, they were essentially aliens, yet humans would revere them as gods.

Roland's creations, the Divine People of his realm, were the same.

Beyond their strength, they also possessed something more precious: absolute faith.

All who were born in his divine realm automatically became apostles of the Lord of Life.

This was the true reason Roland chose to create life within his domain.

Every new being was also a new source of faith.

Of course, life could not be created endlessly. The process drained immense divine power.

And the Gate of Reincarnation was tied to the balance of the universe. Even Roland dared not overuse it.

For now, he only summoned one hundred thousand souls to be reborn into his realm.

Compared to the vastness of his divine world, that number was small.

But for Roland, it was enough. A seed planted in fertile soil.

These one hundred thousand would reproduce, grow, and one day his divine realm would be teeming with life.

Beyond this, Roland had also inherited Mephisto's followers.

As the new master of Hell, all the intelligent souls within the Hell Dimension now turned their faith toward him.

While each individual spirit's faith was weaker than that of his Divine People, their numbers were overwhelming.

The Hell Dimension contained countless souls. Even if most lacked intelligence, the ones who did still formed an ocean of faith.

[Followers]

Saints: 3

Apostles: 100,009

Fanatics: 921,312

Devout Believers: 5,222,186

True Believers: 9,412,882

Casual Believers: 15,232,155

With his promotion to mid-tier true god and his rise as ruler of the Hell Dimension, Roland's followers had skyrocketed.

He now harvested forty million faith points per day.

A hundred million faith points condensed a single strand of divine energy. With forty million per day, he gained forty strands daily.

It took one hundred strands to form one divine power. In other words, Roland now condensed one divine power every two and a half days.

Yet he had only 1,090 divine powers.

He still needed 8,910 more to reach ten thousand and ignite the Divine Fire.

At his current pace, it would take sixty-one years.

"Sixty-one years to reach the Main God realm?" Roland shook his head with a bitter smile.

He had thought tens of millions of believers would be enough. But clearly, the road ahead was still long.

"Perhaps I should look into the Dark Dimension. If I could devour Dormammu, I might accelerate the process," Roland thought silently.

But he quickly dismissed the idea.

Dormammu had consumed countless dimensions. His true power was no weaker than Roland's own.

And Roland had already learned the danger of fighting an enemy in their own domain. He had no wish to repeat that mistake.

Besides, he was still gravely wounded. Even if he wanted to, he could not move against Dormammu now.

For the moment, recovery was the priority.

Roland sat beneath the Tree of Life, closed his eyes, and entered deep healing meditation.

Time passed. A week slipped by in silence.

No one could contact him while he rested within his divine realm. Not even apostles or saints could enter without his permission.

Only when Roland himself awoke would the connection reopen.

Human World.

A group of ship girls gathered anxiously around Effie and Bismarck.

"Still no word from the master?"

"No. Nothing," Bismarck, now a demigod, shook her head.

"Could something have happened to him?" another asked worriedly.

"Impossible. If anything had happened, we would all have perished too. The master must be occupied with something important," Effie reassured them.

Atago, covering her mouth with a mischievous laugh, teased, "Come now, there's no need to worry. Our lord is unmatched. Instead of fretting over him, perhaps we should be thinking about how to serve him once he returns. It's been ten days already, and I missed my first chance to serve him. Next time, none of you can take that from me!"

Yorktown smiled charmingly. "Atago, you're not the only one who missed out. I did too."

"Oh? So you mean to compete with me, Yorktown?" Atago's eyes sparkled with challenge.

Yorktown smirked. "Compete? Maybe. Or… perhaps there's another way."

Atago blinked, then suddenly smiled knowingly. "Sisters need not fight. Yorktown, perhaps we can share instead."

Yorktown's cheeks flushed slightly. "I thought the same thing. It would be more fun."

Enterprise, overhearing, spoke up. "Don't you dare leave me out. We agreed on this together."

Yorktown laughed softly. "Sister, of course I won't leave you behind. We'll all share."

Enterprise nodded shyly, her face red.

The other ship girls quickly understood.

A new idea of how to serve their master quietly bloomed among them.

Just then, a deep hum resonated through the air.

Most mortals would not sense it, but the powerful ship girls noticed instantly.

All eyes turned in the same direction.

"What a violent space fluctuation. Is it the master?"

"No. The aura is different. A demigod has arrived."

"Another invader?"

"Let us check it out," Laffey said, tugging on Nimf's sleeve. "You all stay here. We'll handle it."

The two lolis had little to add to the older sisters' conversation anyway.

Though they longed to serve their commander as well, he only treated them as cuddly pillows. That left them no choice but to withdraw with quiet disappointment.

Better to leave now than sit through more teasing.

New York, S.H.I.E.L.D. Base.

"How bad is it?" Nick Fury asked grimly as he stepped off a helicopter, meeting Coulson at the entrance.

"The worst part is… we don't know yet," Coulson admitted, face equally serious.

Fury's expression darkened further. He motioned for Coulson to lead the way.

As they descended into the underground lab, Coulson explained, "Four hours ago, Dr. Selvig detected a sudden surge of energy from the Tesseract."

"Energy? We never authorized any tests," Fury said sharply.

"There weren't any. The doctor wasn't even in the room. The Tesseract activated on its own," Coulson replied.
