The rain fell harder than it had throughout the entirety of the fight.
The two enemies locked eyes with one another. The rage than exuded from Tapio was the greatest it had ever been.
Neither opponent wanted to make the first move, but one of them had to.
Adam struck first, transforming the falling rain into three spears than he then threw. Tapio just grabbed them with a mud hand directly of the ground, his expression unchanged.
Adam then rushed forwards, slicing at the muddy concept. Though it dealt no damage, it was still proof that Tapio could be hit.
He heat up the longsword form Tsara, and rushed in a flurry of slashes to try and deal damage to Tapio.
Tapio blocked each strike with extremely sharp wood. He then proceeded to grow trees around Adam in an attempt to trap him.
The trees started falling as Adam chopped them down with a single swing of his axe. But the wall was nothing but a distraction set by Tapio.
Flowers of all varieties, trees of all types, plantlife and animals off all kinds. They were surrounding Adam from everywhere.
While it felt chaotic, it also gave off a sense of balance, as though the different types of nature were all coexisting. It felt just like the universe should, at the very least how it should be in Tapio's eyes.
It was a magnificent sight, with lots of colours everywhere. There were all kinds of green, plants from all seasons, plants from across the world.
Animals, both extinct and alive, where just existing, not even the predators were killing their prey.
But, even through the beauty, Adam could sense the danger that lurked in the shadows.
Adam, who'd initially been stunned speechless had now regained his stance, as all the nature was now going against him. The world was like this, it always felt to Adam as if it was him against the world, and now, that was true.
The nature was relentless, attacking from all angles. In spite of that, Adam defended himself by summoning shipwrecks.
He then created a flame so hot it was burning in the rain, and started to burn through Tapio's onslaught of attacks.
That was it, the last string of patience that Tapio held onto. He used his abilities and created a tornado to put out the flames.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have seen how balanced, organised and orderly nature it, but what happens when it goes out of control? When the cycles are broken?
That is what we know as a natural disaster.
Tornados, earthquakes, floods, tornados, droughts and more.
These are things that are so chaotic that they can by themselves drag the entire system through the ground.
The rest of nature has no choice but to adapt to the aftermath of a natural disaster. Think about the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs, the ice age and the eruption of Pompeii's volcano, mount Vesuvius.
Yet, there is one natural disaster that surpasses all of them. Humanity and our chaos. We destroy forests, pollute rivers and demolish ecosystems. The difference between us and the other natural disasters is that we have the means to protect nature and let it adapt.
Instead, our evolution is so overwhelmingly fast that the rest of nature can't keep up with it, hence, the only way for Tapio to stop us is with the full might of natural disasters.
And so, this is the side of nature you do not want to be on the bad side of.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The tornado was speeding towards Adam, who used the falling rain to make the spinning stop.
The ground then started shaking, it was an earthquake, followed by a lot of lava being shot straight at Adam, who blocked it with nothing but a shield of fire.
"Tsara, can you help me shoot a couple of rockets?"
"You got it!"
Tsara shot three rockets, dealing some damage to Tapio's armor.
"You bastard, how dare you ruin my balance, my peace!"
"Hey, come on man. You're the one that used that so called balance as a means of attacking me. How could it be my fault."
"Shut it, you are a fool"
Tapio's rage increased, his attacks getting faster, more powerful.
It was such a vicious wave of attacks that Adam could do nothing but defend himself and Tsara.
"How much longer will you be able to withstand this?"
"I don't know, but I will try to hold out as much as possible. Can you prepare that again?"
"I think so... And... Don't push yourself to far, okay Adam?"
"Will do my best to protect you, even if it costs me my life."
"That is... Exactly the opposite of what I just asked..."
Adam was keeping tornados from getting him by spinning them the opposite way, was keeping himself from the ground using fire to fly and was shielding himself with walls of junk any time the volcanoes erupted.
But, unfortunately, Tapio would not just stand there menacingly. He would end this battle as efficiently as possible.
Hence, he generated a sandstorm. In order for Adam to keep the sandstorm from hitting him, he had to shoot the droplets of water against it. To make sure no sand was wasted, Tapio made sure that each drop of rain was countered by the exact number of grains of sand needed to stop them.
They battled and kept on battling until Tapio could not maintain his assault and Adam had no more ways to defend.
"Adam, its ready!"
Tsara shouted. Adam picked up on her cue and hit Tapio with numerous bolts of lightning, creating an opening. Adam went forward, making a wall of flames around the Concept of Nature.
The mud that constitutes Tapio's body started to solidify and, while Tapio could still move, any attacks that hit him would have an effect.
Adam lunged forward, using the swords of those who fell on the battlefield to cut through Tapio.
"Now!"
Tsar Bomba
Tapio was hit by the attack and got shattered into a million pieces.
He then appeared right behind Adam and said:
"If I'm going down, you're coming with me."
He made an arm of mud to try and grab Adam and drag him underground. But Adam burst out of the mud in a dazzling and fiery explosion.
In the end, Tapio got knocked out from exhaustion, and he would never be bothered nor bother any other concept. Though he lost, just like the nature he is the concept of, he didn't give up until the very end.
As for Adam and Tsara, they were leaning one on the other, making sure the other would stay on foot long enough to get back to Caravela. In the end, they would only say one thing to each other before walking to the ship.
"W-we did it Tsara..."
"Yeah, we sure did."
They then fist-bumped as the sun rose.
