"Yes Garb, I know. I'm her now. Everything is gonna be alright, so rest now."
Garb then closed his eyes, trusting fully in his comrade to finish the battle. On the other hand, Villtir Skepna was fuming so much that the air leaving his nose was just smoke.
"Who the hell are you and why are you interfering with My fight?"
"Me? I'm Kyle, also known as the concept of emotion and as the one who will bring the great beast to his knees."
"Such a big mouth on such a small being."
"To think a beast can think rationally."
"Let's stop speaking meaningless words and let's talk with our fists."
"Can't say no to that. I was already planning to fight you either way."
Kyle gently handed Garb to Morrigan. As they left, he stepped forwards and activated his grey light.
Skepna swiped away at Kyle, who dodged every swipe in swift motions. It was like time was frozen for him, which made it easier to get out of the attack's trajectory.
This augmented perception was due to Kyle's inherent nature. As the concept of emotion he gets to use abilities related to all emotions, emotions such as love. We all know the saying "Love is in the air", to a scientist, most non-material things travelling through the air are considered waves (such as sound waves or radiation waves). just like and electromagnetic wave, Kyle moves at near light speed[1] in a vacuum.
Kyle went in for the counterattack but his normal light beams did nothing to Skepna, who in turn tried smashing him with his tail.
"Your beams barely even tickle me, and yet my attacks never hit you either. How annoying you make this fight be?"
"Are you scared that you might just lose?"
"Of course not, you had you fate sealed the moment you decided to fight me. Besides, flying around must be tiring you out, you will just run out of stamina and then I will make sure you never come back."
Kyle smirked.
"I knew you had a big mouth but didn't know it was such an arrogant one."
"grrr, I will make you eat those words."
"Try me, big guy."
Skepna knew that he would just be tiring himself out if he kept on attacking relentlessly so he decided to use a different strategy.
He shot Kyle some air bullets which Kyle quicky avoided. He then used an electric shock which was the first hit Kyle had to block, but Kyle did not react in time and was hit before being able to do anything about it.
Kyle then used his emotion manipulation but it did not work.
Just like we believe plants to not have emotions, many animals are also believed not to have emotions. Animals like sea sponges or starfish are great examples. Because of Villtir Skepna's ability to use any animal's ability at any given point, he can just as easily make sure his emotions cannot be manipulated.
"H-huh, how did that not work?!?"
"Puny concept. I am immune to changes on my emotions, so what are you going to do now? Just do not give up 'cause I want to make you suffer."
"So that's how it is... guess I'd better take this fight seriously."
Skepna tried to bite Kyle, who narrowly dodged and countered by damaging Villtir's eyes.
"Blinding me... It is a sound strategy against most concepts but I can know where you are even without my vision, though it will heal back in a couple of minutes. Either way, i'd better finish this fight quickly."
Skepna's size got cut by half, but the power surging from him seemed far greater than it was just a moment before. His armour like exterior was now slimy skin, he'd given up on defence almost in its entirety to focus on his offensive capabilities.
Skepna went in for a punch and Kyle got thrown back. He then went for a headbutt and made sure to use a sound wave to make Kyle startled as he went flying through the swampy land. Skepna then shot air bullets and hit Kyle's shounder.
Argh, shouted the now pained Kyle.
Kyle then got hit by a kick that sent him plummeting down. But he did not touch the ground, for he got caught in a spider's web.
"Not so tough now, are we?"
Instead of answering, Kyle spat.
"So even in death, you still remain insolent... Guess that killing you wouldn't be as fun if you already had your spirit broken. Farewell, great warrior."
Villtir went for the killing blow and just as it was about to connect, Kyle's grey light shone brighter.
"Let's finish this quickly."
Kyle's light enveloped Skepna's fist, then the rest of the arm, but before it got to the body, Kyle used a powerful blast on Skepna, who had no choice but to hide in his shell. The shell took the blast but could not hold, shattering into millions of pieces.
They both went for the attack, with Skepna doing his best to close the distance between himself and Kyle while the latter tried to keep his distance. Shockwaves were felt, air bullets were fired and electricity could be seen trying to bypass the grey light.
Neither fighter was holding back and both wanted to end it fast.
Kyle shot a small light beam towards Skepna's foot, but it just healed back instantly.
Skepna sent air bullets and Kyle blocked it with his light, while kyle used beams of all shapes and sizes to overwhelm Villtir, who just blocked them with electricity.
Skepna charged a jolt of electricity that would send both Tapio and Adam shivers down their spines. Meanwhile Kyle charged his own powerful beam.
The attacks clashed, and while it felt like the electricity had been slowly getting the upper hand, it was grey light that came out on top. The light hit Villtir Skepna and knocked him out.
"That was one hell of a fight, Villtir Skepna."
