...In a city the atmosphere was lively Carts and carriages were gradually entering the city gates Many people both wealthy and common people gradually walked towards the soldiers to ask permission to enter the country
Kael a cool young man wearing a dark blue coat a purple scarf and a handsome fake mustache stands with his arms crossed beside a cart that he presumably belongs to someone else He smiles at the girls walking by but their gazes seem unwilling
An old man dressed like a wealthy man approached with displeasure
"Huh? Are you trying to steal the things in my cart?"
Kael was startled and flinched his hands in front of his face reaching out as if he didn t want the man to get close He explained to the old man
"No it s not that I... I was just standing there"
The old man was extremely upset
"Huh? What do you mean?"
He glanced at the items in his cart and thought for a moment Kael felt uneasy
Suddenly Akel seized the opportunity to escape Kael ran in quickly The uncle quickly turned around
"...Wait a minute!?!!"
[Kael had already run away from him ]
Kael stopped his left hand gripping the wall He ran until he was out of breath his right hand clutching his chest right between his heart His heart was pounding
"Holy shit... This is my first time here and I m already being misunderstood..."
Kael looked around and saw a young woman She was a teenager with black hair tied in a low ponytail She was wearing a Victorian style dress a brown coat and a dark blue skirt She looked very strange to the people around She was talking to the soldiers guarding the gate There were also people sitting there looking sad and disappointed
Kael walked over and sat down next to the group of people sitting on the floor Everyone was staring at him
Kael
"What are you guys doing sitting here?"
They didnbt say anythingbEveryone pointed at the young woman who was talking to the soldier
The two calm looking soldiers stood out from the crowd standing on opposite sides of the city gate one on each side
" Sorry No "
The young girl tried her best to plead with him She acted cute towards the soldiers and Kael looked strangely surprised
"Please please please"
The soldier standing there his spear in hand and sword at his waist remained calm and composed uncaring of the teenage girl
Kael saw their expressions
"Have her gone mad? her not afraid of the soldiers at all..."
The group of people sitting next to him didn t say anything but they looked at the teenage girl with anticipation
The teenage girl made a provocative gesture towards them her hands behind her backbShe tilted her head slightly and smiled at the soldier who didn t look at her He watched the people gradually approach
" .I can t let you go inside.. It s a rule Emptybhanded travelers without carts are not allowed"
Suddenly the soldier glanced at her On her chest was a diamond necklace with a graceful aura heart froze Her once hard heart suddenly trembled as if under a spell The teenage girl flicked her hand in front of his eyes
"Oh... what s wrong with you?" she said gently
The young soldier stood there motionless while she walked into the city cheerfully
Everyone sitting there was stunned and couldn t believe it including Kael Kael s hands were on his head he was stunned
"Wow...oh my god...what is that...how did her do that !!?"
The man sitting next to him was plump and had a slight beard but he looked like a teenager He turned around and smiled slyly raising an eyebrow
"You should try it yourself..."
Kael approached the soldier at the door He looked extremely confident his right hand clutching his travel bag his right hand in his pocket He met the soldier s gaze
"I m from Jepera...a wanderer "
The soldier looked Kael from head to toe with an unwilling gaze
His right hand rubbed his stomach
"Please let me in... I don t have any assets. We'll continue our journey when the time comes"
The soldier s eyes secretly sympathized with him, but he remained resolute
"No if you want to go to the city I have a good alternative 31 miles north This is middle class territory vagabond like you is not a sure bet Is for the safety of the capital "
Kael pretends to have a stomachache but he still can t stop
" I can t take it anymore...please"
Kael glanced inside the city Every big grassy area had many trees
"But isn t the inside a wasteland?..."
The soldier immediately became irritated when Kael stubbornly refused to listen to him
"Get lost you vagabonds! You re being a real nuisance"
Kael turned around and walked back slowly The soldiers did not welcome him nor did they welcome anyone who was a traveler without a cart.. without property
The same man who had spoken to Kael before he waved to greet him but the friend beside him held his hand first
Kael walked slowly head down passing people who were about to enter the city He was silent only the sound of horse hooves and the people around him could be heard
The sound of horses hooves rang out.. A cart came running.. The same old man who he thought was Kael the thief he was sitting on the cart He saw Kael walking and behind him were soldiers guarding the gate The old man seemed to know something and knew what was happening He greeted Kael
"Hey.!!!. young man I m sorry I thought you were a thief "
Kael heard me and turned to look at me slightly startled The uncle on the cart smiled
"Thank you for watching over my things while I was drunk..."
The old man gave a signal pointing behind his cart He made a hand signal a hint
Kael understood what he was saying He ran to the back of the cart Immediately the uncle pulled the horse rope
His cart moved so fast that the people nearby were startled Even the people sitting on the ground saw Kael on the cart They waved to him
Everyone sitting there was shocked and stunned
"That guy s so lucky..."
The soldiers saw the wagon going unusually fast there was no stopping to let them check but the wagon sped through the gate past the soldiers.. The soldiers were shocked they saw Kael inside
Kael smiled slyly sticking out his tongue mischievously but the soldiers couldn t do anything and just let him go
They had passed the city gates for a long distance Kael was curious and asked the old man
"Why didn t the soldiers follow us?"
The old man sitting in front of the cart
"...We re not at fault...its them who are They see the roads where many people travel as a way to make money"
The old man turned around and smiled slightly
"Where are you going? Let me take you The way you re going might be the way I m going"
Kael smiled slightly He sat in the back of the cart
"I travel everywhere... I came here to buy food and sell herbs"
The old man smiled gently He didn t view Kael as inferior to himself in the slightest
"Wow... you're an herbalist huh?"
His left hand rested behind his head he said embarrassedly
"No I just did it for money and happiness "
..The cart they headed forward in the large grasslands, squirrels running around looking from afar a herd of deer beautiful nature animals in their natural habitat the cart other people heading forward travelers on foot but in groups
Kael sat in the cart his gaze glancing at the sky and the countless birds flying by
"How strange... Even though there s a city gate over there, the inside feels like a deserted area "
The old man spoke happily his eyes seemingly seasoned but his expression was warm
"Avesilen... is a unique land spanning over 10,000 square miles. Where we are... is the outer reaches of the land..."
Kael's eyes widened Kael stuck his head out of the cart and looked around Every grass from a distance.. it was a forest far away Kael spread his hands closed his eyes took a deep breath The wind blew fresh air reaching him
Uncle Monkael smiled slightly
"To the north... behind that plateau... is the countryside"
He was so excited to be able to actually enter the land of Avesilen that he took out an old book from his pocket and recorded his journey with the carts and the many people walking in groups
A woman in Victorian dress, a brown coach coat she walks in front of the cart her left hand holding the luggage she may be tired
The uncle shouted calling to her from afar
"Hey!!!...little sister..."
She was slightly startled and slowly turned around There weren t many people there She turned around and smiled at the uncle
The cart slowly stopped The old man looked ahead at the large grassland and slowly looked at her
"It s still a long way... her've come a long way... Come up and rest... Don t be afraid I ve received many travelers"
She thought about it for a moment hesitating to agree She saw Kael's head poking out holding a fake mustache in his hand signaling to her that Kael was a teenager
She bowed slightly and smiled politely
"Thank you Please take care of me Uncle..."
She walked to the back of the cart to get on
Kael extended his hand and smiled at her but she got on easily Kael s smile quickly disappeared as the cart moved forward The old man whistled happily
She sat in the front section opposite Kael
Kael smiled slightly
"...My name is Kael...nice to meet you"
She quickly turned to look at Kael unprepared as if she hadn t expected him to greet her first
Her right hand rested between her breasts and she spoke politely
"My name is Mira Casbrian.. Nice to meet you too"
Kael was startled and flinched slightly but he didn t show it to her The two sat in the uncle s cart until time passed Kael and Mira both fell asleep
Uncle looked at them Uncle smiled gently as if something was making him think back The afternoon atmosphere in the vast grasslands The cart moved slowly...flocks of birds fluttering The ever changing wind of Avesilene...as if time never stopped
