After the intensification of Sophie's attack and Luna's radiations, they managed to save the sleeping villagers and the surrounding area.
Once Sophie restored the flow of time to its natural state, Sean's electric sparks silently spread to cover all the surrounding areas.
Before Sophie could collapse from mental exhaustion, Sean gently held her, showing clear admiration for her efforts.
Shun smiled challengingly:
"What you did was incredible! Good job!"
Sophie panted softly and replied firmly:
"You'd better focus on helping my brother Toki instead of being amazed."
Shun responded with a broad smile:
"Truly, I've never seen vampires do something like this before."
Then he added, gently carrying her beside the barrel and the guard Lily, who had fainted due to the temporal-spatial distortion:
"Rest for a bit, we'll make sure to return her later."
Sophie smiled before dozing off, leaning against the cold wall.
Shun looked sharply at Toki and Zon, whispering to himself:
"You need to trust yourself, boy… your hesitation is one of the reasons for your weakness."
Elsewhere, the flow of Toki's blue aura stopped as the temporal-spatial field returned to normal.
He felt a sharp pain in his head, his heart racing, and his eyes turned green, while a cautious expression spread across his face.
He turned to Zon and said:
"You seem ready… this is what I've been waiting for."
Zon gripped his axe handle tightly, and the two of them leapt powerfully into the sky.
Beneath their feet, a spiraling trail of Sean's lightning formed, rising as they advanced toward Luna.
Zon said cautiously, glancing at their target:
"An impressive dynamic technique."
Toki replied coldly:
"Do you mean air pressure bursts?"
Zon nodded curiously:
"Hmm… yes, the name suits it well. I'd like to try it if possible."
Savage light specters surrounded them, forcing them to increase their running pace and heighten their senses to the maximum.
While Zon focused on pushing the specters away via Toki, the latter could see more clearly in the darkness of night and managed to distinguish Luna from her surroundings.
The scene he witnessed stirred a vague anxiety in his heart, as if he had not anticipated what was about to happen.
Luna's appearance gradually changed, and semi-destructive glass pillars collided behind her in the shape of an X.
Her radiant aura shifted, now resembling a vivid aurora swirling around her, reminiscent of whales swimming in rivers.
Toki and Zon appeared in her line of sight, their faces charged with seriousness and terror.
Despite the extreme cold surrounding them, they executed a combined attack… yet Luna passed behind them at incredible speed, as if she had teleported or had been there from the start.
In the instant of her movement, Toki suffered a severe wound shaped like an aurora, with bruises extending from his shoulder.
His blood erupted under the moonlight.
Zon barely managed to deflect her attack at the last moment, his axe deformed, and his helmet shattered.
Toki did not give up, stretching his arm behind him to try to grab Luna's shoulder… but she moved away before he could reach her.
Zon stood on the remnants of Sean's currents, holding Toki by the top of his shirt.
Toki coughed violently, his heavy gaze fixed on Luna, as if recalling a warm past.
While his wounds slowly healed, Zon said without turning:
"Try to regulate your breathing so the pain doesn't worsen, and let the spiritual flow surge freely."
"I'll try… while you throw me toward her," Toki replied in broken breaths.
Zon muttered to himself, preparing to launch him:
"He's sustained a serious injury… yet he continues with the same plan. What's wrong with him?"
Toki shot forward like a rocket, spinning in the air to maintain his balance.
He wrapped his fingertips to pierce through the radiant aura surrounding Luna.
As he approached her, he thought in astonishment:
"What's happened to you, Luna… what must I do to get you out of this?!"
When he got close enough to touch her despite the severe bleeding in his abdomen, Luna shifted to the side of Shun and Sophie, leaving behind a slowly fading duplicate.
Toki nearly collided with a building but pressed the air to land elsewhere.
Zon executed the technique as well after understanding its principles.
To perform it, he needed to compress the muscle masses in his legs and knees while sensing the weight of the air.
Zon caught Toki, and they stopped in a large courtyard.
Zon said:
"It seems the situation is getting worse! Are you able to stand, boy?"
At the same moment, a light strip tightened around Shun's neck.
Shun was unaffected by the heat, but difficulty in breathing began to choke him.
At that moment, he was about to say:
"Deluge—"
But he thought carefully and chose another way to handle it.
He stared confidently into the wandering, unconscious eyes of Luna, his crazy smile widening even more.
"Yah! Excitement almost swallowed me…
Isn't this terrifying?! Don't you agree? Ah… I apologize."
