Chapter 4 - Chapter Three - Encounter with The Seductress

Satoru Ryomen POV

We were finally about to leave when the damn watch started to beep again.

A slight irritated feeling crawls up my spine as I clicked it open.

"What the hell is it this time Romani?!" Olga shouted equally annoyed at him calling again.

"PLEASE GET AWAY FROM THERE RIGHT NOW!" Romani urgently exclaimed as Mashu turned around in surprise "I am sensing an enemy servant!"

A barrage of chains appears all over the ground blocking any nearby escape routes.

I glanced up looking at enemy servant with a bit of interest.

She wore a black cloak, a dress that exposed some parts of her assets, yellow eyes, had purple hair that seemed to be alive, and was equipped with a black scythe.

"This one's looks like she's a bit more powerful than that skull freak I was messing around with earlier. I'd say she'd make for a better appetizer," I commented while squatting down to stretch my legs out.

"Huh what are you talking about Satoru?" Romani questioned while Mashu and Olga looked on wondering what I meant.

"I faced a servant earlier...he was rather weak and went down in a couple of moves," I nonchalantly mentioned.

"What?!" all three of them exclaimed.

"Hmm is something the matter?" I asked confused at their reactions.

Mashu's eyes went wide "senpai, you fought a Servant alone and didn't tell us?!"

I shrugged rolling my shoulders "didn't seem important he was really weak, slow, and incredibly boring."

Olga stared at me like I'd grown a second head "do you even understand what you're saying?! A Servant isn't something you can just casually fight or kill your way through!"

"Yeah well...I just did," I said flatly standing up straight and brushing some imaginary dust off my coat. My gaze drifted back to the woman above us, her hair writhing like a nest of snakes "ooh so the prey thinks it can fight the predator?" the way the woman spoke sounded so eerily seductive.

Any man would have fallen for her instantly, but too bad for her that I wasn't like any ordinary guy out there.

I left my eyes in a half-lid position, more so out of boredom than anything else "lady I've been hit on by things far scarier than you. Trust me, you don't even make my top ten."

Her grin twitched, almost like she couldn't decide whether to be amused or offended. The purple locks of her hair hissed and shifted, each strand curling like a serpent ready to strike.

Mashu stepped forward shield raised "senpai, please be get behind-"

"Don't worry things will be fine Mashu just focus on protecting the good director," I cut her off, raising a hand up into a thumbs up "there isn't a reason to worry about me...because I am the strongest."

The woman tilted her head, scythe resting lazily on her shoulder "so confident for a mere human...I can smell the mana pouring off of you. It's intoxicating," she licked her lips her voice dripping with hunger "maybe I'll carve it out of you slowly."

I chuckled "you could try but I have a rather nasty habit of dismantling things that annoy me," blue lines cover my entire body until the lines started to vanish into a blue cloak.

Magi of this current era were pathetic.

They think a simple reinforcement spell is the weakest and most basic of spells.

Their use of logic for magecraft was to simply put it retarded.

The mystery behind a spell decays the moment more than one person is aware of how it logically works.

What the fools fail to realize though is that the mystery of a spell won't decay if you don't maintain a logical mindset and reject what society deems 'logical'.

To me it doesn't matter how a spell is logically formed because in my mind a spell will always be associated with the term magic.

Magic is magic therefore it needs no justification.

I don't try to explain the "how" or "why" of a spell all I have to do is imagine the core idea of the spell and write out the pattern in my mind simple as that.

Reinforcement normally works by filling the openings of an item or body part with magical energy but why do that? When I imagine how the spell works my brains thinks of magical energy wrapping around my body and limitlessly being able to increase the output to keep on evolving my bodies sight, strength, stamina, and reflexes to however much I want.

With a grin I charged forward my fist getting ready to unleash a strong uppercut.

The spearwomen's eyes widen as I suddenly appeared in front of her "let's see if you can tank this....Black Flash!" at the very last second the blue energy of mana surrounding my right fist switched to an intense black and red color.

The effect of a Black Flash occurs only when one strikes within exactly 0.000001 seconds of the moment magical energy output reaches its peak.

Once a Black Flash connects the mana isn't simply inside the blow it instead warps space at the impact point.

The distortion amplifies the damage far beyond what either my body or my raw magical energy could produce on their own.

To anyone watching, it looks like a violent explosion of compressed mana turning itself inside out.

Right now? I'm about to unload that distortion straight into this woman's chin.

BOOM!

A thunderclap sound echos as the air itself snaps under the pressure.

A shockwave ripples for a brief moment then the woman's body jerks violently upward, the scythe almost slipping from her grip, and for a brief moment those yellow eyes are wide with pure disbelief.

"Wha-" she tries to say something but is interrupted when I jumped after her swinging my foot around into a strong round house kick that sent her flying backwards into a building.

"Incredible!" Romani exclaims his voice almost cracking with excitement "according to the readings I'm picking up, whatever Satoru just did completely distorted the space around his punch for 0.000001 seconds!"

Mashu lowered her shield slightly, eyes still locked on the debris cloud where the scythe user had vanished.

"Senpai...what was that?" she asked her voice wavering between awe and caution.

"That there is what I call a Black Flash it's a neat party trick that happened when I was messing around with the reinforcement spell nothing big really. All it takes is a bit of perfect timing and output...then space folds in on itself for a split second and boom!" I snapped my fingers "reality takes it personally."

Olga was staring at me like I had just killed her dog "y-you! That kind of spatial distortion shouldn't be possible for a magus to make without a repercussion of some kind!"

"Yeah well," I said grinning lazily, "to bad I'm not your average human."

Before she could spit another protest the rubble ahead shifted.

A low guttural laugh slithered out from the dust, followed by the hiss of something sharp cutting the air.

"Ohhh... so that's what you taste like," her voice came dripping with venomous delight "such a violent little flavor I'll savor every scream."

The dust blew apart like a bomb went off and she stepped forward cloak torn, lip split, molten yellow eyes now burning with murderous intent.

Her scythe was held in a reverse grip.

"You hit harder than I expected," she said tongue running over the blood at the corner of her mouth before a yandere like smile spread across her face "I like that, it makes me want to break you slowly."

I scratched the back of my head while letting out a teasing chuckle "oh my with that kind of insinuation you could at least take me out for dinner first~"

The woman grinned "I could...but I prefer jumping straight into the fun part."

"Heh that's quite bold of you although you may want to be careful otherwise, you'll find yourself with something more than a permanent limp," I replied as the cloak for my reinforcement returned.

My eyes started to glow from its natural ocean blue color to an intense shining blue.

"Are...are they seriously flirting right now?!" Olga exclaimed while Mashu blushed at the exchange between us "senpai... please focus," she murmured, though her grip on the shield tightened.

I let out a fake sigh of sadness "okay, okay I guess our little foreplay will have to end here now," with a swift flick from my right hand I released a consecutive amount of Dismantles snapping the chains that blocked the points for escaping.

"There you two can head somewhere safe while I fight her, oh and take this with you," I said tossing the comm watch with Romani's hologram still on the call towards Olga who barely managed to catch it "w-wait you c-can't just go fight her by yourself!"

Her words fell deaf on my ears.

I turn back to stare at my opponent "now then where were we?"

-end of chapter three-

I am not sure if my explanation to how any of the spells my MC has been able to perform and be so powerful to the point where it could almost reach a miracle makes sense or is just total bullshit, but I tried my best.

I am sure hardcore Nasuverse fan readers or other authors could probably come up with a better explanation for the feats my MC could do instead of something like.

'Just stop justifying everything with logic and calculations and instead picture a blueprint for how the spell would work, the form it would take, and the overall idea/goal behind what it's suppose to do. Then the mystery will still rival that of a high-tier spell instead of degrading. If you allow yourself to fall for what society justifies. Take for example how the world population will justify fire as only being able to form from a chemical reaction and gases which in turn ruins any spell centered around fire or flames. However if the caster rejects what society or the population logically thinks then the fire they create remains true fire not a scientific byproduct but a pure, magical phenomenon. It exists not because oxygen burns but because the caster willed it into being as fire.'

Anyways I hope no one drops the fic because of this or any future info I try to make up.

Additionally more lore about the MC will be given once Singularity F is complete.

We'll see a part of his childhood and parts of what earned him the nickname 'The Butcher'
