Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Alessia's life took a devastating turn when she lost her dad in a car accident. Her mom, who was also in the accident, survived but was left in a vegetative state, she ended up in a coma that seemed endless.

The medical bills piled up, and Alessia's tuition fees at college became an additional burden. Desperate to make ends meet, she took on various jobs to keep her mom's hospital bills paid and her own education on track.

Even after she graduated from school, it was still difficult to get a good Job.

One fateful night, Alessia landed a gig playing piano at The Pulse, a famous nightclub in the city. The pay was substantial, enough to cover both her mom's hospital bills and her tuition fees. Elated, Alessia took the job and when it was time for her performance threw herself into it.

However, she has a condition, whenever she took the stage, she wore a face mask to conceal her identity, and it was accepted by the management of the nightclub. The mysterious allure of the masked pianist only added to her allure, and soon, The Pulse's wealthy patrons were clamoring to see her perform.

But with fame came unwanted attention. Many of the rich men who attended her performances would try to persuade her to remove the mask, some even offering substantial sums of money just to sleep with her. Alessia's manager, Madam Suzy, always intervened, shielding her from unwanted advances and protecting her secret.

One morning, Alessia was in her room, preparing to visit her mom in the hospital, when her phone started ringing. She picked up the call to hear Madam Suzy's cheerful voice on the other end.

"Hello?" Alessia said.

"Oh, hello darling! How are you feeling today?" Madam Suzy asked, her tone warm and upbeat.

"I'm good, Madam Suzy," Alessia replied.

"Alright, darling. Get ready. We have a performance in Paris tonight," Madam Suzy announced, her words catching Alessia off guard.

"But you said all shows would be canceled, and I could have today to myself," Alessia reminded her.

"I'm sorry, honey. I know I promised you some time off, but this client is someone I just can't say no to. If I do, it could put the club at risk," Madam Suzy explained.

Alessia sighed, resigned to her fate. "Alright, Madam Suzy. I'll get ready. But I need to visit my mom in the hospital first."

"Of course, honey. Take care of yourself, and I'll see you soon," Madam Suzy said, before hanging up.

Alessia visited her mom in the hospital, and after a bittersweet goodbye, she headed home to start packing for the trip to Paris. For some reason, she didn't feel like attending the event, but she knew she had no choice. Refusing to go could mean losing her job, and she couldn't afford that. This job, despite being demanding, paid well, and she needed it to support herself and her mom.

After packing, Alessia waited for her driver to arrive. When they reached the airport, she spotted Madam Suzy, who enveloped her in a warm hug.

"Oh, my darling, are you okay? You look like you're sick or something," Madam Suzy asked, concern etched on her face.

Alessia forced a smile. "No, I'm fine. This is my first time going to Paris, and I'm just a little nervous."

Madam Suzy's expression softened. "Don't worry, honey. You're going to have fun in Paris. It's the city of love and music!" She gently touched Alessia's hair.

Alessia replied with a fake smile, "Alright, Madam Suzy."
