Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: The Frozen Super Soldier

Leon stepped into the base, his superhuman senses scanning every corner. He quickly located the purpose of his trip. The base was a massive, open space filled with instruments and equipment. In the front were five closed, dimly lit cabins, each emitting a freezing fog. Inside, five individuals sat frozen in recliners, their eyes open.

This was a former HYDRA base used for training Winter Soldiers and Super Soldiers. The Super Soldier Serum came from Howard Stark, Tony Stark's father. The Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, had killed Howard and his wife and taken the only five remaining doses of the serum from their car. The experiment had been a resounding success. The five HYDRA elite soldiers, meticulously trained and brainwashed, were successfully enhanced by the serum. However, the unstable personalities that came with their new power led to riots. For this and other reasons, HYDRA decided to freeze the five Super Soldiers and abandon the base. An automatic nuclear power system within the base allowed the cooling to be maintained for decades, ensuring the Super Soldiers remained frozen.

In the future, this would be the site of a brutal battle between Iron Man, Captain America Steve Rogers, and Bucky.

Under HYDRA's training, the five Super Soldiers were proficient in thirty languages and had mastered assassination, stealth, and other skills. Given enough time, they could easily destroy a country. Leon had spent a long time searching for this place, wandering through Siberia and using his psychokinetic scans to finally locate it.

Leon walked to the control panel in front of the cabins and activated the thawing sequence. The process didn't take long. Soon, the five Super Soldiers' eyes fluttered open. Confusion flashed in their eyes as they saw Leon standing outside their cabins. The doors opened, and like cheetahs, the five Super Soldiers pulled out their tubes and charged at Leon.

But as they stepped out, Leon's lips curled into a smile, and a terrifying aura erupted from him.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Instantly, the five Super Soldiers were forced to their knees, crushed by the immense pressure. Despite this, their brainwashed minds had only one objective: to kill the man in front of them. However, the vast difference in their life levels made it impossible for them to break free from his suppression, no matter how hard they struggled.

Leon's eyes glowed with a faint blue light as he activated Mind Control. In an instant, he forcibly washed away the effects of their brainwashing and implanted his own spiritual mark. The five Super Soldiers, who had been struggling furiously, stopped. The terrifying aura dissipated, and they now looked at Leon with fanaticism.

"Re-adapt to this society. Find Ivan Drekov—he's the head of intelligence and espionage," Leon instructed.

"Yes, Master," they responded.

A portal with sparks suddenly opened beside Leon, leading to an empty alley in Omsk, the capital of Omsk Oblast in southwestern Siberia. The five Super Soldiers walked through the portal one by one. Leon didn't need to worry about the next steps; he had left his contact information in their minds, and they would contact him directly once they found their target.

Night fell, and a cold wind howled. In an old castle base in Suzdal, western Russia, Ivan Drekov stood in front of a window, a Kabiron cigarette in his hand. He stared out at the scenery, deep in thought.

Drekov had been in a bad mood for the past two years. An ace spy he had personally trained had defected to a mysterious organization, rebelled against him, and destroyed his Red Room base. He was nearly killed in the explosion, and his daughter was severely injured and disfigured.

He had tracked the traitor's trail, but the results he found over the past two years had terrified him. He discovered that the mysterious organization was vast, so vast that every spy he sent to investigate was ruthlessly eliminated. Drekov decided to cut off his own trail, hiding himself and the Red Room underground. Since all his bases and operations were in Russia, the organization's reach couldn't penetrate deep enough to find him, allowing his plan to succeed.

In two years, he had rebuilt the Red Room base and was training a new generation of spies from a large number of orphans. Moreover, having lost his sense of security, he began to study neuropheromones. The rebellion made him realize that brainwashing was unstable; only a method of absolute control like neuropheromones was truly safe. Fortunately, his research had yielded results, which he considered the only good news he'd had in a long time.

Drekov exhaled a puff of smoke, the cigarette glowing with a hot red light. He was thinking about a new grand plan. Suddenly, a feeling of deep unease washed over him, jolting him out of his thoughts. He felt a tense atmosphere in the air, and a cold sweat broke out on his forehead. As the head of the Red Room, he was an expert at sensing danger, but he couldn't pinpoint where this threat was coming from.

The unknown was what frightened him most. Fear and rage began to boil within him, a high-ranking general. Veins bulged on his forehead as his emotions shifted wildly, giving him a truly monstrous appearance.
