FINCH

Deau sat on a branch. The morning sun rising to make another day. The scent of morning dew in the air. And the sound of the tweets of other birds and the sound of the light rustling wind. Deau took off from the branch. His light weight barely even making it jiggle. Deau felt the wind on his feathers as he glided effortlessly on the wind. Deau tweeted his greeting to a new day. His chirps gentle and soft as he glided. Deau did not understand the complexity of human life. He lived a simple life...he liked it that way. He slowly decended down to the ground. The sight of a worm catching his gaze among the damp soil. He grabbed it and gulped it down. He had eaten now. He does not pay taxes...he does not worry about schedules...or of any human worry. He returned to his gliding and gentle chirps of contemptment. His feathers almost touching the clouds as he glided.
