Episode 4 — "The Ones Who Hunt"
Main Hall — 11:16 AM
The air feels heavy. Guddu and Ushika stand frozen as Niki twirls the bloodied baseball bat in his hands like it's a toy.
Guddu: "Why lock the gates? You're trapping us with… them."
Niki smirks. "Better in here than out there. At least in here, you can choose who you fight."
He steps closer, bat scraping the floor. Ushika's eyes dart around — the hall is massive but eerily empty.
Guddu keeps her voice calm. "Where are the others?"
Niki shrugs. "Hiding. Watching. Hunting."

Rooftop — 11:17 AM
Sunghoon has a map of the school spread out on the ground, tracing a route with his finger.
"If we go down the east stairs, we can avoid the main hall and—"
Jake cuts in, "—and run right into whatever's down there? Great plan."
Tanu leans against the railing, eyes narrowing. "What's in the main hall?"
Sunghoon doesn't answer right away, which tells her he knows something.
Before she can push, they hear a muffled scream from below — sharp, then cut off.

Science Lab Corridor — 11:19 AM
Jungwon and Jay creep toward the lab, stepping over scattered papers and broken glass.
Jay whispers, "I've got a brother in the army. Said once that when people panic, it's not the threat that kills you first… it's the people."
Jungwon swallows. "You think this is people?"
Jay: "I think someone's using this chaos for themselves."
They slip into the lab and start grabbing supplies — alcohol bottles, scissors, a firelighter.
Then they hear footsteps. Slow. Deliberate.
Jungwon mouths, Hide.

Main Hall — 11:21 AM
Guddu decides to try talking her way out. "Niki… you don't have to—"
A metallic click cuts her off. From the balcony above, Krati's younger brother, barely 14, points a crossbow down at them.
"Don't move," he says, voice shaking.
Ushika whispers, "Where did a school kid get a crossbow?"
Niki grins. "Archery club. Bet you're wishing you joined now."
The boy's hands tremble — not from fear, but from adrenaline.

East Stairwell — 11:23 AM
Sunghoon leads Tanu and Jake down quietly, but midway they hear footsteps approaching from below.
Jake grips his bat tighter.
A figure appears — tall, broad-shouldered — it's Suhyeok. His shirt is stained red. His eyes flick over the group, landing on Tanu for a moment longer than necessary.
"You three alone?" he asks.
Sunghoon nods. "For now."
Suhyeok glances at the hallway toward the main hall. "Then stay away from there. Niki's not the same anymore."
Tanu catches the edge in his voice — there's history there.

Science Lab — 11:25 AM
Jungwon peeks from behind the counter.
A figure in a school blazer is moving slowly through the room. At first, it seems like just another student — until they turn, and he sees the dried blood across their chin.
The infected student locks eyes with him.
Jay reacts first — hurling a bottle of alcohol into the face, then sparking the lighter.
Flames burst, and the student's scream is inhuman.
They bolt from the lab, smoke trailing behind.

Main Hall — 11:27 AM
Guddu sees an opening when the boy above lowers his bow slightly.
She shoves Ushika aside and grabs the bat from Niki's hands. He's stronger, but she's faster — swinging for his ribs. He grunts, dropping the keys.
Ushika dives for them, but before she can grab them, the balcony boy fires.
The arrow misses Ushika… but hits someone behind her.
A gasp escapes — and Guddu's stomach drops.
It's Jay.
He's standing in the doorway with Jungwon, eyes wide as he looks down at the arrow sticking out of his chest.
Jay stumbles once, twice, then collapses. Jungwon's scream echoes through the hall.
Niki's grin vanishes for the first time.
Guddu tightens her grip on the bat.
