Within an undeveloped star system in the Rostov Sub-Sector, the Necron Tomb Technician who had escaped Rostov II was now traversing the desolate, ruin-like Dynasty Tomb.
The tomb walls were covered with ancient runes, shimmering with a faint green light, as if recounting past glory and splendor.
A cold metallic scent permeated the air, where time had stood still for tens of millions of years.
This was one of the core worlds of the Farrah Dynasty, and also the domain of the Dynasty Overlord whom this Necron Tomb Technician served.
The Farrah Dynasty was not a large dynasty; it possessed only one Crown World and several Core Worlds, with no more than ten Fringe Worlds.
Moreover, the Dynasty's Crown World and Core Worlds were mostly concentrated within three star systems, which made the Farrah Dynasty's territory appear even more confined and humble.
However, although the Dynasty's territory was small, its power was not to be underestimated.
Each Core World had been a witness to the Farrah Dynasty's glorious period; although most of them were now dormant, they still concealed powerful technology and strength.
Yet, it was this seemingly weak Dynasty that suppressed a star god shard.
This was the deepest foundation of the Farrah Dynasty, and also the source of its ability to stand firm in this galaxy.
Although that was sixty million years ago, before the Necrons Dynasties entered slumber under the Silent King's decree.
The Necron Tomb Technician passed through corridors that had been dormant for tens of millions of years, arriving at the core tomb chamber of this tomb world.
He then knelt before the core tomb chamber's door, humbly sending a message composed of cipher text to the chamber.
The message contained everything he had seen and heard on Rostov II, especially regarding the Imperium of Man's movements and their coveting of Necron technology.
The tomb chamber did not respond, but the Necron Tomb Technician was not anxious; he merely maintained his kneeling posture, seemingly waiting for something.
For Necrons, their metallic bodies rendered them tireless, and sixty million years of slumber had endowed them with a patience unimaginable to humans.
As long as he could awaken the Dynasty Overlord, this Necron Tomb Technician would be able to borrow his army from the Overlord and exact revenge on those hairless apes who plundered his laboratory, letting them know what a mistake it was to invade the territory of a Necrons noble!
Time flowed in silence, and the Necron Tomb Technician's logical circuits echoed with the battles and observations from Rostov.
He felt anger at the destruction of his laboratory and heartache over the plunder of his precious research results.
Especially in his view, those hairless apes simply could not comprehend the profundity and wisdom of technological sorcery; they would only squander his valuable scientific achievements.
That feeling was like watching someone use a precious lithography machine as a battering ram, where valuable things are discarded and worthless ones are praised, creating a sense of waste and ruin akin to burning a lute to boil a crane.
The Necron Tomb Technician urgently hoped to prevent all of this from happening; he wanted those hairless apes who destroyed his laboratory to pay the price.
However, despite the anger reverberating in his logical circuits, the Necron Tomb Technician remained calmly kneeling before the Overlord's tomb chamber, neither urging nor anxious, simply waiting patiently.
Finally, the door to the core tomb chamber slowly opened, and a cold green light emanated from the gap.

In the near-orbit of Rostov II, the Starport's metal framework shimmered with a cold luster under the star's light.
The expansion project had been underway for some time; workers and Servitors shuttled between berths, and Tech-Priests were busy holding various masses and Adeptus Mechanicus rituals to install equipment and appease Machine Spirits. The entire Starport was a scene of bustling activity.
It wasn't that there was a problem with the Starport, which had already been expanded once, but simply that there weren't enough berths.
As the strategic importance of the Rostov Sub-Sector grew, more and more void ships needed to dock and be maintained here.
Moreover, the three moon-class cruisers promised to Alex by the Ecclesiarchy, under the intervention of Holy Terra, had already been 'built' ahead of schedule, fully crewed and officered, and had recently arrived at Rostov.
The arrival of these three moon-class cruisers marked a significant enhancement of Rostov's fleet strength, but also placed immense pressure on the Starport's berths.
Three moon-class cruisers, plus Rostov's existing Black Ship, a strike cruiser, a Dominator-class cruiser, and Gutierrez's light cruiser, as well as Donia's Forge ship—so many void ships meant that the Starport, which could accommodate four cruisers, was no longer sufficient.
As a result, the Gabbro, a frigate, could only pitifully relocate to Rostov III, docking at the newly constructed Starport there, which was built to accommodate her own Forge ship.
Mai Mai and Twilight had many complaints about this, but faced with the strained situation at the Starport, they were helpless.
If the Starport wasn't expanded, such a large fleet truly couldn't be accommodated.
"According to our previous agreement, I have procured the relevant equipment and modules for producing void ships for you. With only a certain degree of modification and expansion to the existing repair drydocks, it can be transformed into a small shipyard capable of producing light cruisers," Donia explained the situation to Alex, her voice tinged with pride.
She had previously returned to Mariupol Forge World, both to report to her teacher and to fulfill her promise to Alex.
Her efforts were not in vain; she successfully brought key equipment for void ship production to Rostov.
Of course, the most important thing was to submit the documents issued by 32 and endorsed by Belisarius Cawl to Mariupol Forge World, to clear her good sister Ovilia of the Tech-heretic charge.
Ovilia also returned to Mariupol Forge World for this matter. After a series of reviews and procedures, Ovilia finally cleared her name and successfully retrieved the Forge left to her by Cawl.
Of course, given Ovilia and Donia's relationship, this Forge is now nominally co-owned by both of them.
"What void ship production licenses do we currently possess?" The successful establishment of the shipyard did not overly excite Alex; he knew that building the shipyard was only the first step. The key was to obtain sufficient void ship production licenses and to establish a production system capable of maintaining the shipyard's operation.
One only needs to look at the two great hegemons who once dominated the world in the 3k era; they inevitably faced decline in shipbuilding. Although their shipyards still existed, their shipbuilding capabilities had long since fallen into disrepair.
The system, which sounds simple but is incredibly complex to describe and implement, is the key factor in determining the outcome.
