Chapter 84 - 84

Anderson was kidnapped and brought to the Falken family while he was in a daze.

Falcon leader Maroni patted Anderson on the head and smiled contemptuously.

"You're just a trash rat, and you dare to stir up trouble in my territory...Are you tired of living? Do you really think Stark will make a big fuss just for a small thug like you?" Maroni kicked Anderson hard, and regardless of Anderson's painful wail, he took out his cell phone and dialed a number.

The note on the number reads "Joker".

"As you requested, I have kidnapped Anderson. You must attack Batman immediately. I don't want to see that damn vigilante alive. I will pay you half of the money after the task is completed." Maroni said.

He didn't understand why the Joker wanted them to kidnap Anderson, but that didn't matter. Even if the Joker didn't tell them, the Falcon clan would have certainly taken action. Anderson's behavior had become increasingly aggressive. He'd been selling weapons in the dark at first, but now he was acting openly. How could the Falcon clan tolerate this? Being suppressed by Batman was one thing, and they had no way to deal with him, but who was Anderson?

Maroni had a good plan in mind. After all, he would hand the person over to the Joker. Even if Stark questioned him, he should go to the Joker. It had nothing to do with their Falcon family.

"Soon, hehe, soon..." From the other end of the line came the clown's extremely uncomfortable laugh, and faintly heard shrill screams. Maroni blinked and hung up the phone nonchalantly.

Anderson mumbled, his mouth full of blood. He tried hard to keep his eyes open, making a gurgling sound as he spoke incoherently: "Falcon will eventually become a thing of the past... You guys will go to hell."

Maroni suddenly became interested. He grabbed Anderson's hair and said, "If a civilian said this, I could accept it, but it came from a rat like you... Who gave you the courage? The Stark Group? I don't believe Donnie would fight the Falcon family to death for you. You think too highly of yourself."

He ordered his men, "When the clown's men arrive, hand this stupid rat over to him directly."

Maroni left in a hurry. Anderson's words also reminded him that Donny was a dangerous person. Even if he handed Anderson to the Joker to divert attention, he might still take his anger out on him. It would be better to leave first.

Hours later, a body dressed in a Batman costume was found hanging from City Hall, and a video was released to the Gotham media.

"Hey hey hey... tell me, who are you? Uh hahaha, are you Batman? Huh? Are you?"

"I'm Brian..."

"Then why are you dressed as Batman?"

"Batman makes us no longer afraid of scum like you!"

"Hahahaha... From now on, I will kill one person every day until Batman comes forward and surrenders~ Hahaha!"

The Joker's public declaration caused an uproar in Gotham City. Is it a blessing or a curse for ordinary people to have such an arrogant criminal openly hostile to Batman? Gotham City has no shortage of criminals, but few criminals have used the Joker's media as leverage to openly declare war on Batman.

Many people who have a negative impression of Batman believe that Batman should take off his mask and turn himself in to avoid the casualties of innocent people. However, others oppose this, believing that they should just wait because Batman will save them.

On the body, the police found three playing cards, each with fingerprints on it. After checking, all three fingerprints were from high-ranking officials in Gotham City. In this way, the Joker exposed his target without any concealment.

One of them is Harvey.

The Joker was also successful. There were countless people in the entire city who were secretly won over by the Joker using various means.

The mayor's cup was poisoned, and the judge fled in her car, but the top was planted with explosives by an insider. Almost in the blink of an eye, the mayor and the judge were killed, leaving only Harvey alive.

The entire city was plunged into a panic, everyone fearing for their own safety. Suddenly, acts of looting, smashing, and burning surged, the crime rate soared, and the police were overwhelmed. Many people drove day and night to seek refuge in other places. If even the mayor and judge, who were under heavy protection, could be killed, what about others?

The situation in the old city, fueled by the Joker, quickly spread to the new city, plunging the entire Gotham into chaos. A large number of citizens fled, causing congestion on the city's main roads, and harsh curses could be heard everywhere.

At this time, an ordinary car drove into Gotham City. The road leading to Gotham was smooth, forming a sharp contrast with the congestion on the other side of the fence.

The driver was a cool, elegant woman, her soft hair draped over her shoulders, her expressionless face barely concealing her arrogance. She drove indifferently, oblivious to the chaos along the way, her calm eyes fixed straight ahead.

The phone rang.

"May, what's the situation in Gotham?" Coulson's gentle voice sounded on the phone.

"It was chaos and everyone was running in panic." The woman named Mei found a secluded place to park the car.

Someone was robbing a convenience store nearby. The robber ran out with a bag of money, yelling, "We got it, hurry to the next store! Take more while we can... Get out of the way, woman! Get out of the way!"

Mei rushed forward with a powerful stride, her slender arms bursting with astonishing strength. She punched the man in the chin, then delivered a side kick, striking the robber hard in the waist. In the blink of an eye, the leading man was neatly and efficiently brought to the ground.

The other robbers scattered.

"Done?" Coulson waited calmly for May's reply. He had enough confidence in his colleague.

"It's impossible to handle. There are riots in many places in this city and we can't handle it all." Mei responded coldly. There was no emotion in her every word, and she was as cold as ice.

"Then let's stick to the original plan. First, we'll find Donnie. He knows the specifics of this city," Coulson said. "At the same time, we'll try to get him to reveal his purpose for wandering around Gotham."

"You didn't tell me the 'original plan' until I arrived in Gotham, and I'm not familiar with that mechanic."

"Don't worry, I'm very familiar with him. That guy is very easy to get along with. As long as you don't make him angry, he will be very gentle. Besides, I'm about to leave for Gotham." Coulson was full of confidence.

Just ahead, a young man with a gloomy face was walking on the street. His expression was as if the whole world owed him money. He had a light layer of hair on his head, as if it had just grown out.

Mei took a photo, looked at it left and right, compared it horizontally and vertically, and felt that it must be the same person.

"Get along well? Are you sure?"

A gangster was waving a gun and shouting, but was killed by the gloomy young man with a punch.
