Chapter 243 - Chapter 243 – Supreme Kai, You Actually Attacked Zeno-sama!

"Hyaa…"

Zeno-sama yanked the reins hard.

Majin Buu immediately dug all four legs into the ground, carving four long grooves as he skidded to a forced stop.

Zeno-sama's two Guards flashed into place at his sides and looked toward the Supreme Kai, frowning.

Buu narrowed his eyes and recognized Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito right away.

Still, Buu's temper had mellowed lately. He didn't show much on his face.

These days, Buu just wanted to be a happy little pony.

No. Being a pony isn't happy at all.

I just want this guy to let me go already.

I miss Mr. Satan…

I miss Broly too…

The thought nearly made Buu tear up.

Mr. Satan… Broly… please come save me!

No, no—Mr. Satan can't save me.

Only Broly can.

But… but…

Broly probably can't save me either!

The guy riding on me is the greatest god in the entire cosmos.

Even Broly would have to kneel the moment he saw him.

Even the Grand Priest would have to bow.

I must've been cursed in eight past lives to run into someone like this.

Buu kept ranting in his head, then glanced again at Shin and Kibito, completely baffled about why they'd shown up here.

"Supreme Kai, do you need something?" Zeno-sama asked calmly.

"What's your relationship with Bibidi?!" Shin demanded.

Zeno-sama: "????"

"How dare you!"

The two Guards flew into a rage.

The Supreme Kai of Universe 7 had some nerve.

Is that how you speak to Zeno-sama?

Zeno-sama lifted a hand slightly, signaling the Guards to stay quiet.

They immediately nodded, bowed, and stepped back.

"Bibidi? Who's that?" Zeno-sama asked.

"Stop pretending you don't know! He created Majin Buu and caused crises across the universe!" Shin declared righteously.

"Then where is he?" Zeno-sama asked, curious.

"He was killed, of course!" Shin snorted.

"Oh… he's dead?" Zeno-sama looked a little disappointed.

Shin fell silent.

What's with that expression?

Are you two actually working together or not?

"Oh, hey—were you made by Bibidi?" Zeno-sama patted Buu's backside and asked.

Buu shook his head.

"Answer properly," Zeno-sama scolded.

Buu: "..."

"I'm a special life-form born of the universe. Nobody made me," Buu answered obediently, not daring to slack off.

"Supreme Kai, you heard him. Nobody made him," Zeno-sama said, flashing a grin.

"I don't care whether he was made by someone or born from the universe! His existence is a massive threat!" Shin gritted out.

"And what happens to the universe?" Zeno-sama asked.

"What do you think? The whole universe falls into crisis," Shin huffed.

"Then we don't need that universe," Zeno-sama said after a moment, slowly extending his small hand.

Behind him, the two Guards swallowed hard, their faces turning pale.

Zeno-sama was going to erase Universe 7?

That would be a disaster.

"We don't need the universe? Of course—wizards are emotionless creatures!" Shin roared, snapping his eyes wide at Zeno-sama.

Boom!

A formless surge of divine power slammed over Zeno-sama's body.

The two Guards froze, stunned into open disbelief.

Supreme Kai of Universe 7… are you out of your mind?

You actually dared to attack Zeno-sama?

Who gave you the courage?

After that glare, Shin realized Zeno-sama hadn't moved an inch, as if the attack hadn't done anything at all.

If this were a game, it would've popped up with something like "No Effect" or "Immune."

Zeno-sama: "..."

Is the Supreme Kai of Universe 7 really this dumb?

You even tried to attack me?

"I was going to erase Universe 7," Zeno-sama said coldly, "but I thought about it again, and that feels too easy on you."

"How does Zeno-sama wish to handle it?"

The two Guards rushed forward and bowed.

"What was the name of that wizard again?" Zeno-sama asked.

"Zeno-sama, I believe the wizard was called Bibidi, but he's already dead," the Guards answered.

As they spoke, a streak of light—bright as a star—flashed across the heavens, racing toward the blue planet below.

Whoosh!

In the next instant, Whis arrived in a beam of light, landed before Zeno-sama, and immediately knelt in salute.

"Greetings, Zeno-sama," Whis said with perfect respect.

"It's Whis," Zeno-sama said, turning his head.

Shin's brow tightened.

It's him!

I remember him!

He's from Beerus's planet… and he's strong too.

And now even he's bowing to the wizard like a lapdog!

"I wasn't aware of your visit, Zeno-sama. Please forgive the poor welcome," Whis said, looking helpless.

From the realm of the gods, Whis had already sensed Zeno-sama entering his universe.

Seeing Zeno-sama enjoying himself in Universe 7 had honestly put Whis at ease.

As long as Zeno-sama is having fun here, nothing else matters.

What Whis hadn't expected—at all—was Shin suddenly showing up in front of Zeno-sama.

A bad feeling hit Whis immediately, so he hurried over without wasting a second.

And of course… the worst thing happened.

Shin actually attacked Zeno-sama.

It was beyond disrespectful.

"Whis, you came at the right time. Bibidi is from your universe, right?" Zeno-sama asked.

"Yes, yes. Bibidi was indeed from Universe 7. He was a fairly talented wizard in his day," Whis said quickly, nodding.

"A wizard…" Zeno-sama fell into thought. "That sounds kind of interesting."

"Unfortunately, he has already been reincarnated. Reviving him would be difficult," Whis said, instantly understanding what Zeno-sama meant.

"Really?" Zeno-sama looked genuinely disappointed. "Then maybe this universe should disappear after all."

Whis: "..."

"However," Whis hurried to add, "Bibidi had a son—an even more talented wizard. His name was Babidi."

Shin's eyes widened, ears practically standing up.

Bibidi had a son?

How did I not know that?

"Is he dead too?" Zeno-sama asked.

"He died two months ago, tragically," Whis sighed.

Zeno-sama's disappointment returned, and his hand even started to lift again.

"But he can be revived," Whis added immediately.

"Oh. Then revive him," Zeno-sama said. "Let him gross out this ignorant Supreme Kai."

"Understood. I'll visit the Other World shortly and revive Babidi," Whis said with a bow.

"And how is Ken's training of the Supreme Kai going?" Zeno-sama asked.

"Would you like Ken to come and answer in person?" Whis offered.

"Call him," Zeno-sama ordered.

"Yes, Zeno-sama." Whis raised his staff and contacted Ken through the crystal orb.

In truth, even if Whis hadn't called, Ken had been watching Zeno-sama's movements the whole time.

Ken felt completely speechless.

Shin actually went to intercept Zeno-sama.

The nerve on that guy.

Universe 7 not being erased because of it was already a miracle.

At that moment, Shin's brows were knotted tight, caught in an impossible situation.

Because Shin could tell now—the person riding Majin Buu wasn't ordinary at all.

Who in the world was he?

"Supreme Kai… that guy's identity feels… special," Kibito said in a low voice.

"I feel it too," Shin nodded grimly. "He might be some kind of Demon Realm god!"

"A Demon God?" Kibito's face paled. "Do Demon Gods really exist?"

"If the Demon Realm exists, a Demon God existing is perfectly normal," Shin said, clenching his fists, frustration boiling in his chest.

I'm too weak.

I'm supposed to be the greatest god in the universe… and I can't even deal with a Demon God?

"If he really is a Demon God, we probably can't escape today," Kibito trembled, lips shaking.

"If it comes to it, we use Kai Kai and leave. Then we think of something else later," Shin said heavily.

"That's all we can do," Kibito agreed.

Whis quickly got through.

"Ken, Zeno-sama wants to know—how is the Supreme Kai's training going?" Whis asked, then winked and gestured with his eyes, as if to say: Please look at the terrifying mess happening here.

Ken: "..."

This is probably my first call with Zeno-sama.

And the first thing he asks is this.

So Zeno-sama really does know everything about me.

"It's still not quite there," Ken sighed. "At least ten more years, minimum."

"Ten more years?" Zeno-sama went quiet, clearly displeased.

"Zeno-sama, training a Supreme Kai is extremely complicated—more difficult than raising a God of Destruction," Whis said on Ken's behalf.

"Is that so?" Zeno-sama asked.

"I'll push Ken and Merus to speed things up," Whis promised. "If we rush it, we'll end up with someone… like this one."

"Then do it like we said. Revive Babidi and let him disgust Shin," Zeno-sama ordered.

"Yes, Zeno-sama," Whis replied crisply.

"Giddyup!"

Zeno-sama reached down and pinched Buu's backside hard.

"Aaaooo!"

Buu let out a howl and bolted forward.

Thud!

Buu's front hoof kicked straight into Shin's face, flattening it on impact.

Pff!

Then Buu stuck his rear out and blasted Kibito with a fart.

Kibito went flying, vanishing into who-knows-where.

"Good boy!" Zeno-sama laughed, delighted at how "clever" his horse was, and patted Buu's head.

Buu grinned stupidly.

"I was going to send you back sooner," Zeno-sama mused, "but you're so obedient… I'm not sure I want to let you go."

Buu: "..."

Zeno-sama and the two Guards soon left.

Whis stepped forward and treated Shin.

Buu obviously hadn't dared to kill Shin—especially not right in front of Zeno-sama.

As for Kibito, Buu had held back too.

Using the crystal orb on his staff, Whis restored Shin in moments.

After all, if the Supreme Kai dies, the God of Destruction disappears with him.

Whis kept sighing to himself.

Beerus… you can really sleep through anything. You've nearly vanished several times already.

Wait… no, no. The Kai World still has the Old Kai sealed away.

Beerus did have foresight, didn't he?

Should I release the Old Kai?

Whis's thoughts spiraled for a moment.

But after weighing it, he decided not to meddle.

Maybe this was simply Universe 7's hurdle to face.

The instant Shin woke, he snapped into alertness and stared at Whis, expression grim.

"Supreme Kai… you caused a disaster," Whis said with a weary sigh.

"I won't speak to a wizard's accomplice!" Shin shouted.

"Do you know who that was just now?" Whis asked, half-laughing, half-exasperated.

"Whoever he is, he's obviously the wizard's accomplice!" Shin snorted. "I've been investigating you in secret. Don't think I don't know who you are!"

Whis: "..."

That expression is exactly why you don't know who we really are.

"That was the greatest god in the entire cosmos—Zeno-sama," Whis said, deciding he had to tell him.

"You're lying! The greatest god in the cosmos is the Supreme Kai!" Kibito shouted as he wobbled in from the distance, loudly correcting Whis.

Whis pressed a hand to his forehead, completely done.

So this is what people mean by a matched pair.

Where there's one, the other always shows up.

Whis didn't even want to argue anymore.

No matter what he said, it wouldn't get through. Better to go do what Zeno-sama ordered.

Whoosh!

Whis shot off toward the Other World at top speed.

Shin and Kibito didn't dare stir up trouble again. They hurried back to the Kai World with their tails between their legs.

Once they returned, both of them sat down and gulped air, shaken to the core.

That was terrifying.

They'd almost died out there.

They sat on the ground for a long time, still rattled.

They're way too strong…

"That weird-looking guy… my attack didn't do anything to him at all," Shin said darkly.

"Supreme Kai… from what they were saying… are they going to revive Bibidi's son?" Kibito's face shifted.

"Dead people can be revived? Don't be ridiculous," Shin said, refusing to believe it.

"I don't believe it either," Kibito nodded.

The Other World.

Whis found Babidi, who was suffering through punishment in Hell.

"Who are you?" Babidi squinted at Whis.

"Babidi-san, would you like to be revived?" Whis asked with a smile.

"You can revive me?" Babidi blinked.

"I can," Whis nodded.

"If you can bring me back, I'll let you be my underling," Babidi said, ecstatic.

Whis: "..."

Why is everyone in our universe like this?

You want to take me as your underling?

If I were truly your underling, your status would be… something else entirely.

"Oh dear. That's a burden you really can't handle," Whis sighed.

"What do you mean?" Babidi frowned.

"By the way—how did you die?" Whis asked.

"Don't ask…" Babidi waved it off, clearly not wanting to reopen the wound.

"Heh heh… I heard he got struck by lightning!" a nearby soul named Pui Pui mocked.

"Can you revive him too?" Babidi asked, turning to Whis.

"Very well," Whis said, not objecting. "Come with me."

Pui Pui: "????"

"Hahaha! Babidi, are you into suffering or what? I've been tormenting you, and you still want me revived with you?" Pui Pui laughed loudly.

"You're right," Babidi said, smiling faintly, his mouth curling into a thin arc.

Whis led Babidi and Pui Pui out of the Other World and onto a planet somewhere.

He raised his staff and waved it lightly.

Both of them were revived.

Once he was done, Whis became a streak of star-bright light and departed at once.

As for what Babidi and Pui Pui would do after revival, Whis didn't care.

No matter what they tried, they couldn't cause any major storm in Universe 7.

Let them run wild if they want.

"I'm really alive? That guy actually brought us back?" Pui Pui stared, dumbfounded.

Babidi also looked down at his newly restored body, stunned.

I'm alive again.

Babidi… revived from the dead.

Heaven hasn't abandoned me.

"Babidi, you're a real one!" Pui Pui said, stepping up and patting Babidi's head.

"Bababa… rababa!"

Babidi didn't hold back at all. He lifted both hands toward Pui Pui and began chanting.

Pui Pui's face twisted in pain as he clutched his head and rolled on the ground.

About ten seconds passed.

A large "M" appeared on Pui Pui's forehead.

"All hail Babidi-sama!" Pui Pui immediately dropped to his knees.

"My shoes are dirty. Lick them clean," Babidi said with a snort.

"Yes, Babidi-sama." Pui Pui crawled like a dog and licked Babidi's shoes until they shined.

"Good dog. Such a good dog," Babidi said with satisfaction. Then he pointed at a certain part of Pui Pui's body. "That thing isn't very useful. Sure, it lets you reproduce, but it also drags down your strength. Cut it off."

"Yes, Babidi-sama." Pui Pui didn't hesitate. One swift motion.

"Aaah!"

Pui Pui screamed in agony.

In that instant, his head shook, and his mind cleared for a brief second.

"You bastard! What did you make me do?!" Pui Pui roared.

"Hehe!" Babidi grinned, his laughter dripping with mockery.

"I'll kill you!" Pui Pui lunged at Babidi in blind rage.

But when his fist was less than an inch away, it stopped dead.

The next moment, Pui Pui clutched his head and rolled on the ground again, like a curse had tightened around his skull.

"Behave," Babidi said coldly. "From now on, you're my guard dog."

"Yes, Babidi-sama!" Pui Pui knelt and rubbed his head against Babidi's shoes.

"Good. Now I order you to find a spaceship," Babidi commanded.

"Yes!" Pui Pui answered.
