Chapter 92 - Chapter 92 – Encounter with God of Destruction Mosco

"Alright, I'll contact my sister in Universe 10 to explain, and I'll also give my sister in Universe 6 a heads-up," Merus said, then retreated to his room to make the call.

Ken: …

It's just a video call, why does he have to hole himself up in the room? What's he hiding?

Inside, Merus wrapped his quarters with angel power to block eavesdropping. He was certain that while Ken could release angel power, it wouldn't pierce his defenses. My angel power is purer. I'm a true angel. He's just a human.

Once secure, he used his staff's crystal to connect to Kusu again.

"Merus, did something happen?" Kusu asked.

"Sister Kusu, I'm sorry, but Ken said… his lucky number is six, so he wants to go to Universe 6," Merus admitted nervously.

Kusu: …

Her long lashes blinked rapidly. After a short silence, she asked, "Did you ever tell him my name?"

"I don't think so," Merus thought carefully, then shook his head.

"Then he shouldn't know which number universe I'm in." Kusu smiled slyly.

Merus was confused. What is she planning?

"Just bring him to me and say this is Universe 6." She chuckled.

Merus: …

"You sure he won't catch on?" He wiped sweat from his brow.

"I'll warn Lord Rumsshi not to slip up. By the time Ken realizes, it'll be too late." She smiled with mischief.

"…Alright," Merus sighed.

"The one I'm interested in gave up on Universe 10 just because of a number? What a headache…" Kusu laughed softly, her eyes gleaming with cunning.

"Understood, Sister Kusu." Merus nodded.

Ending the call, he took a deep breath and stepped out of the room.

"Well? Did you let your sister in Universe 10 know?" Ken asked, eyes fixed on Merus's face.

"Yes, I did," Merus nodded.

"She wasn't upset?"

"No… angels aren't so quick to anger." He smiled.

"Good. And what about your sister in Universe 6?" Ken pressed.

"I contacted her too. She said it's fine. I'll take you to Universe 6."

"Perfect." Ken's eyes lit up with excitement. Finally—I'll get to see Vados.

"How long until we reach Universe 6's God of Destruction Realm?" Ken asked eagerly, though in that moment he felt how small he really was—only five years old.

Five years old can't do much. I wish I could grow up faster. But Saiyans stay child-sized until fifteen or so, don't they? Just a bit taller, but not much change. Only around eighteen to twenty do they suddenly mature and stay adult-like until seventy.

Well, whatever. Five years old it is. I'll grow up eventually.

"At least a month until we reach Universe 6's God of Destruction Realm," Merus answered truthfully.

"A whole month…" Ken groaned.

He glanced at the hulking robot inside the ship. Its AI was broken, but he could still control it directly with no resistance.

"I'll need to find a way to rebuild this thing," Ken muttered.

"Keeping it around is indeed a problem," Merus agreed.

"Does Universe 6 have any top-notch scientists for robot modifications?" Ken asked.

"I'm not too familiar, but probably," Merus said.

"Then maybe we should head back to Earth first. I'll find a scientist there to modify it," Ken suggested.

Merus wanted to scream. I burned through my angel power to make a wormhole and get us to the edge of the universe… and now you want to go back?

"Not possible," Merus shook his head firmly. "We crossed the wormhole to reach the edge. Without it, at this ship's speed, it would take months just to retrace our path."

Ken: … Didn't realize we'd ended up this far.

"Forget it. We'll head to Universe 6 and deal with it there." Still, Ken's eyes glimmered as he stared at Merus.

Merus felt uneasy. Why does his gaze feel like he's looking at a woman? I'm a man.

"Merus, use your angel power to modify this robot," Ken suggested.

Now Merus understood his intent.

"That's impossible. Angel power can alter appearances, but remaking a robot is a massive engineering feat. Leave that to scientists. Besides, you've trained angel power too—you should know it's not that simple."

"I thought since yours is purer, you could manage," Ken said wistfully.

Merus fell silent, feeling strangely attacked.

He quickly changed the subject, steering the ship into the Void.

The Void was chaos incarnate, said to be larger than the universes themselves.

"This is the Void," Merus explained. "Cross it, and we can reach other universes."

Just as he finished, Broly pointed outside. "Robot."

Ken and Merus followed his gaze—Merus's face darkened instantly, while Ken's eyes narrowed.

Broly scratched his head, glancing between their robot and the massive green machine outside.

"It's… Lord Mosco!" Merus's voice sank.

"He must be here looking for his son," Ken guessed.

"He's coming! Hide our robot, now!" Merus urged, panic rising.

Ken immediately cloaked the robot in angel power to conceal it. Merus joined in, worried Ken's power wasn't pure enough.

The ship suddenly jolted to a stop. Broly flew forward headfirst into a chair, while Ken and Merus steadied themselves with glowing bursts of power.

Through the windshield, a towering green robot loomed—the God of Destruction Mosco.

"Jigu-jigu!" Mosco's mechanical voice boomed.

"What's he saying?" Ken asked.

"He wants us to open the door," Merus guessed.

"You can understand that?"

"No… I just read his eyes," Merus admitted.

Ken: …

"Broly, open the door."

Broly stood, rubbing his head, then nodded. Before opening it, he flashed a "rip apart" gesture at Ken.

Merus: …

"Don't. He's a God of Destruction. Even I may not beat him," Merus warned sternly.

"He's right. Don't mess this up," Ken said firmly.

Broly pouted in disappointment but opened the hatch.

Mosco's giant hand shot in, grabbed Broly's head like a baseball, and flung him out into the Void. Then Mosco stepped aboard casually.

"Jigu-jigu?" Mosco pointed at himself, questioning them.

"Sorry, never seen him," Merus answered politely.

Ken stayed silent, eyeing Broly tumbling endlessly outside.

Mosco's gaze sharpened. He stepped closer—dangerously near the hidden robot. One swipe and he could touch it.

"Jigu-jigu?" Mosco chirped again.

Ken looked at Merus.

"No idea," Merus muttered.

Ken: …

Then Mosco's chest panel opened, and out flew a red-skinned imp with horns—Mule.

"Have you seen someone who looks a lot like me?" Mule asked.

Ken and Merus shook their heads.

"Who are you? This ship must be special to reach the Void." Mule smiled, studying them. Step by step, he edged even closer to the cloaked robot.

"We're Galactic Patrol, here to protect peace," Merus said evenly.

"Hah. Isn't that what the Supreme Kai does? Funny, someone else cares about peace," Mule smirked.

Merus didn't answer.

"Where are you going?" Mule pressed.

"Just wandering," Merus said.

"Wandering? Into the Void? Who are you trying to fool?" Mule chuckled, his gaze flicking between Merus and Ken—then settling firmly on Merus.

Merus shifted uncomfortably. You're forcing me to reveal myself?

"Who are you really?" Mule demanded.

"I'm a Galactic Patrolman," Merus insisted.

"And him?" He pointed at Ken.

"My friend, Ke—"

"Not interested." Mule cut him off.

Merus: …

"You won't tell me the truth? You're really just a Patrolman?" Mule smiled thinly.

Merus sighed. Do I really have to expose myself? I'm just a trainee angel… and he might already be stronger than a God of Destruction apprentice.

"…Fine. I'll tell you the truth," Merus said, ready to reveal his identity.

But before he could—

"Rumble!"

An immense surge of power exploded from Broly in the Void.

Emerald light flared, his hair spiking upward, his aura roaring like a tsunami.

The Legendary Super Saiyan had awakened.

Ken saw the blazing clarity in Broly's eyes. Good—he's still rational, thanks to Merus's angel power earlier.

Broly rocketed toward the ship, green light trailing.

"Don't destroy the ship!" Ken shouted.

"What?" Mule blinked.

But before he could react, Broly seized his head and twisted into a graceful backward spin—then blasted out of the ship with Mule in tow.

Ken followed up with a swift kick, booting Mosco out of the hatch.

Merus facepalmed. Why does this feel familiar? Except last time it was Mule's son, Muse, who was weak enough for Broly to tear apart. But this time… Mule's far stronger. You two can't possibly win.

"Let's get outside," Ken said.

"Agreed." Merus nodded. Protect the ship first. Without it, we'd never leave the Void.

They both flew out, Ken pushing the ship forward with a wave of energy to keep it safe.

Then he tested Mosco, releasing angel power against the green giant.

But the power vanished instantly, nullified by Mosco's strange energy.

"What's going on?" Ken asked.

"Mosco's energy is too immense. Your angel power won't work," Merus explained.

"How can humans build such a thing?" Ken muttered.

"Human ingenuity is endless," Merus replied calmly.

Ken accepted it. After all, even Android 16 was man-made, though far weaker. The Third Universe's tech was on a whole other level.

"Try it yourself," Ken urged.

Merus: … First you steal his son's robot, now you want the God of Destruction himself?

"I thought you wanted to be an angel?"

"I do, but that doesn't mean I don't want to get stronger. Otherwise, people will push me around," Ken countered.

Merus: …

"Go on. Trying doesn't cost anything."

"…Fine." Merus sighed, channeling angel power onto Mosco.

It shattered instantly.

"No good," he said. "Besides, I'm still drained from making that wormhole."

Ken's eyes dimmed in disappointment, then looked toward the distance.

There, Broly carried Mule's head, desperately searching for a planet or asteroid to smash him against.

But the Void was empty. There was nothing to grab onto, nothing to crash into.

Broly searched endlessly, finding nothing.
