Chapter 2 - CH-2 Train

"What are you going to do in the future, Jin?" my Uncle asked while eating dinner.

"Well—Uncle, I plan on following my father's footsteps, follow the will of fire and become a shinobi." I replied while eating the eating the food.

That was a lie, anyone with two brain cells can figure out that the will of fire is a thing that makes our ninja more loyal and determined but also it is a propaganda tool devised by the Nidaime and Sandaime.

What started as a noble idea with no bad intent made by Shodaime Hokage of bringing the village together, turned into a propaganda tool. Credits to Hashirama and Tobirama because it worked its magic.

Taji hummed and nodded. "I guess, you need to start training for the academy, huh?"

"Yes, Uncle." I said.

Suddenly, Taji felt a cold glare on him and sweat gathered around his brows.

"Eat slowly Taji-kun, the food isn't running anywhere." said the Yuki with a smile.

He lifted his head up to see the blunette glaring at him, with enough killing intent to knock out thousand Jonin-level ninjas, "Call me Yuki, Understand Taji-kun?"

I nodded my head in full speed afraid that I might get iced right now.

"Yes, Aunty Yuki." I said obediently.

Damn, she's scary when she's angry.

In the background, Uncle was laughing his ass off at my predicament.

Why is her mood so swingy? I feel something amiss here?

She hummed and went to wash the dishes since they finished dinner.

It's kinda sweet that she cares about me but isn't blaring killing intent at a 4 year old wrong. I thought inwardly.

I got up the chair and went to the washroom.

I walked out of the washroom and went to see my Uncle, he was lazily sitting in the sofa while reading a book. He seems really into it. I stole a glance at it, 'Fuinjutsu and its relation to Intent' said the title in bold fonts.

Interesting.

"Stop stealing glances at my book, kiddo. You are still too young to mess with Fuinjutsu." He said with amusement.

I chuckled awkwardly, "Sorry, Uncle."

He chuckled and room fell in a comfortable silence.

The sound of crickets filled the air and the night wind blew into the room through the open window.

The atmosphere made me tempted to fall asleep right now but it would be rude if I did so and I had another objective for coming here.

I shot an expectant gaze to my uncle, hoping that he would notice.

"Brat, you've been staring at me for 10 minutes like you got shellshock. Tell me—what you want?" said Taji with questioning look.

I hesitated but I managed to get it out of mouth, "Ca—can you train me, Uncle?"

My uncle gave me a stoic look, his face giving away nothing to read.

Immediately after a second went by, my uncle burst into laughter.

"Pfft—Hahahaha, you shameless brat! You remind me of your father more and more." His face showed extreme joy at my predicament.

I smiled at him, "It runs in the family, Uncle."

His face morphed back to normalcy and turned to a face of care and concern.

"I've planned long before to train you, I thought I'll talk to you after sometime about this."

"Who would've thought that the usually reserved Jin will approach me so boldly?" He said completely baffled by unusual bluntness.

"I consider it a good change, Uncle." I replied.

"Yes, it is good and bad at the same time. Good since you're maturing fast and bad because you're still a kid, enjoy life because in a few years it will get completely troublesome." He advised.

"So—Are you going to train me or not?" I looked at him with my best puppy eyes.

"Yes." He smiled mischievously.

For some reason I had a bad feeling about this, No—I should be more optimistic. I am sure that he wouldn't do something crazy—Right?

I shook my head to get rid of the nonsensical thoughts.

Sage of Six paths or whoever is behind this transmigration—Thank you!

Why?—because I got transmigrated into a family, at least.

"Thank you Uncle, for being so considerate. I'll repay you when I become a ninja." I replied with respect and gratitude.

"You don't need to, the amount of times your father saved me on the field is uncountable." He chuckled lightly.

Taji is a fuinjutsu expert, not necessarily in the role of a vanguard but Fuinjutsu users can be a hassle--if given enough preparation that is.

"Well, let us discuss about your training. Since you have already unlocked chakra, we don't have waste time on it." He said with a calculating expression.

Wait a minute—how—how did he know that I unlocked chakra? Is he a sensor? My face scrunched up real fast and I stared at Uncle Taji.

"You caught on real quickly, Jin-kun. As expected of his son." Taji said awed by the awareness of the 4 year old.

"Are you a sensor, Uncle?" I asked with an unrestrained curiosity.

"Yes, indeed. It seems that your father did a wonderful job teaching you. Of course--I am not devaluing your talent." Taji praised.

"No offense taken Uncle and Thank you very much for praising me." I gave him a faint smile.

"Good, remember that a ninja must always—look underneath the underneath." Jin advised.

He's basically telling me to be paranoid and double check everything before doing something of great importance.

That's great advice because it really fits me.

Guess who's the most paranoid and shameless in the world?—me, of course.

"I'll etch that into my mind, uncle." I replied.

"Come to my house tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM and bring the books and scrolls that your father gave you to study the basics. If you are, there will be strict punishment, Understood?" he said like an instructor more than an uncle.

"Yes, uncle." I said with determination burning in my eyes.

"Alright, it is late go to your home, rest and don't stay awake because I can see clearly the excitement in your eyes." He broke out of the stern face of an instructor and turned into a caring uncle.

I bade farewell to my uncle and aunt as I went on my way to my home.

I stared at the stars and hoped that my father is doing well in the pure lands.

My face could barely contain the excitement, I was going to start training tomorrow and it will be undoubtedly crucial to survive and thrive in this world.
