I stood right behind Min-jae as he bombarded the ceiling, the entire place shaking and trembling as he did so.
In a moment, the ceiling could collapse on us and crush us but I trusted he would at least be able to fend that off.
He wouldn't want to die either, that was why I stayed so close to him.
His survival senses were great, but his methods were crude.
Min-jae began to pant as he rested, pacing himself from his attacks and I struggled to see through the smoke.
Did he make a dent, at least?
Or did he make a hole we could escape through?
I wanted to know, but the smoke was taking quite a while to clear up.
"This is gonna take a while," he said, as if he could see his progress through all that thick smoke and then he glanced back at me.
I wasn't looking good. I was slowly getting drained but there was nothing he could do. He just had to make the most of this opportunity.
"You don't look so good."
"Just focus on the bombardment," I said. "We have to get out of here."
