The alarm clock rang in her ears, and Shiina Mahiru frowned, burying her face in the blanket.
Black Sun was standing by the window; last night, Kisaragi Rin had asked it to guard Shiina Mahiru.
However, the entire night was normal, and nothing special happened.
Because it had obtained the Demon King Bloodline, Black Sun's blind eye had been repaired. Its dark pupils stared unblinkingly at the alarm clock. Seeing that Shiina Mahiru had no intention of getting up, it flew to the alarm clock and turned it off.
With no sound interference, Black Sun breathed a sigh of relief. It stood on the alarm clock, continuing its task of guarding Shiina Mahiru.
At this moment, Kisaragi Rin was finding it hard to breathe.
He pushed Shizuka Marikawa, who was beside him; her curves were simply too supermodel-like.
"Don't bully the teacher."
Shizuka Marikawa spoke in a daze, her golden hair dazzling in the sunlight.
It took Kisaragi Rin a while to break free from her charm. He still had to find Shiina Mahiru later and didn't have time for another daytime interaction.
After breakfast, Kisaragi Rin stood in front of Shiina Mahiru's door, a question mark appearing in his mind.
"Why isn't Shiina Mahiru out yet?"
Sensing that Black Sun was still inside, Kisaragi Rin took out his phone and called Shiina Mahiru.
The ringing sound appeared again, and Shiina Mahiru opened her hazy eyes, picking up her phone. "Hello?"
Her pupils slowly dilated, and Shiina Mahiru's face instantly turned crimson.
"Please wait a moment, Kisaragi, I'll be ready soon."
She glanced at the silent alarm clock, gritted her teeth, and hurried into the bathroom.
All the tools she had prepared last night, intending to wake up early and get ready, couldn't be used.
By the time Shiina Mahiru washed her face, brushed her teeth, changed into her school uniform and a slightly sheer black pantyhose, and opened the door, there was still a hint of moisture on her flaxen hair.
"I'm sorry, the alarm clock seems to be broken."
She regretted it as soon as she said it; although it was true, it sounded like an excuse for being late.
"It's okay, my home is just upstairs anyway."
Kisaragi Rin didn't mind. He glanced at the slightly breathless Shiina Mahiru and suggested, "Do you want to come upstairs for breakfast?"
Shiina Mahiru's face flushed as she wanted to refuse, but she was also somewhat tempted to see Kisaragi's apartment.
She eventually followed Kisaragi Rin through the door. Shiina Mahiru held her breath and saw Kanroji Mitsuri doing yoga.
Her upper body was bent backward, her back arched, revealing a flat stomach, with her toes and palms simultaneously on the ground, and her arms and shoulders pressed against the wall.
It was the Wheel Pose in yoga. Kanroji Mitsuri's expression was relaxed. Noticing the door open, she casually stopped without any preparation, displaying astonishing flexibility.
"Kisaragi-san! Mahiru-san?" Kanroji Mitsuri leaned closer.
"I wasn't full just now, I'll leave a bit later."
He didn't mention Shiina Mahiru's reason; Kisaragi Rin only spoke for himself and turned to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Shiina Mahiru breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that she had somewhat preserved her courage to catch up in front of Kanroji Mitsuri.
Otherwise, coming over because she woke up too late and hadn't eaten breakfast would have been too embarrassing.
Kanroji Mitsuri didn't think that much. She pulled Shiina Mahiru to sit at the table.
"Let me tell you, the comprehensive cookbook you told me about last time, I bought it online, and it's really useful! Kisaragi Rin even praised the beef stew with potatoes as delicious yesterday."
"That's wonderful! If you have any difficulties with ingredient measurements, you can always come downstairs to find me."
Shiina Mahiru's first step in catching up was to infiltrate the enemy's ranks, clarifying Kisaragi Rin's preferences while avoiding their resistance.
Kanroji Mitsuri and Shizuka Marikawa were both very easy to understand in Shiina Mahiru's eyes; only Busujima Saeko made her a little afraid.
Upon their first meeting, Shiina Mahiru felt as if her thoughts had been seen through, but Busujima Saeko only smiled, with even a hint of doting in her eyes.
It was the gaze of a domestic cat seeing a hamster, a composure that showed she wasn't taken seriously.
Shiina Mahiru lifted her head defiantly, determined to catch up. What she wanted was the position of the main wife.
Thinking of Busujima Saeko, Busujima Saeko happened to walk out from next door. Her purple hair was simply tied into a side ponytail, yet it exuded a sense of enchanting beauty.
Although Busujima Saeko appeared the most mature, she was actually the youngest, the same age as Kisaragi Rin, while Kanroji Mitsuri was 19, and Shizuka Marikawa was already 27.
"Do you think they'll fight?"
Hanako secretly asked Sadako from the side.
Sadako pondered deeply before replying, "Probably not. She can't beat Saeko."
"Idiot Sadako, I mean a 'woman's fight'."
Glanced at by Busujima Saeko, Hanako quickly shut up and hid behind Sadako.
"Saeko, want to learn how to cook together?"
Kanroji Mitsuri greeted her warmly. Shiina Mahiru's expression brightened. Cooking was her forte, something she excelled at, not losing to national chefs.
Busujima Saeko's eyes twinkled with a smile as she agreed, "Okay."
She patiently sat aside, listening to Shiina Mahiru's understanding of cooking, and didn't hesitate to praise her in certain areas.
Just a few simple conversations revealed Busujima Saeko's mature charm, making their interaction very comfortable.
This doubled Shiina Mahiru's psychological pressure; Busujima Saeko was simply too composed.
If it were some jealous woman, Shiina Mahiru wouldn't be worried at all, she might even laugh in her dreams. But with Busujima Saeko like this, Shiina Mahiru was at a loss, unable to think of any way to break through.
Fortunately, she didn't have to wait long. Kisaragi walked over with a plate and placed milk in front of Shiina Mahiru.
"If we don't hurry, today's Soubu High News Department will have big news."
Shocking! Angel's rare tardiness, entering school at the same time as that man!
This was big news that could revive the declining News Department.
Shiina Mahiru also thought of this issue. With a flushed face, she bid farewell to the two and began to eat breakfast, while watching in astonishment as Busujima Saeko gently wiped Kisaragi Rin's mouth.
"Is that a warning?"
This thought popped into her head, but unfortunately, Busujima Saeko didn't seem to be deliberately showing it.
After finishing breakfast, Shiina Mahiru said goodbye to Busujima Saeko.
As for Kanroji Mitsuri, she needed to take Haibara Ai to elementary school, so they also left together.
"Let's go to school."
Kisaragi Rin opened his Heavenly Eye and glanced at the sky; it was still the usual lingering malice, with floating evil spirits coming towards him, opening their hideous mouths.
A golden ray of light pierced through, and Kisaragi Rin looked towards the road to school.
It hadn't appeared at night either. It was unclear where the stalking Shiina Mahiru mentioned was.
"Where did you feel it?"
Facing Kisaragi Rin's question, Shiina Mahiru said uncertainly, "It was on the way to school, and in the coffee shop, and the bookstore..."
