Chapter 880 - Chapter 880

"He's crazy!" a sailor screamed.

But what happened next made every scream die in their throats.

Saitama wasn't falling particularly fast, yet he landed with perfect precision on the tentacle that was smashing down. Then he stretched out both arms and wrapped them around the slick, icy surface of the tentacle.

To everyone watching, it was nothing short of a praying mantis trying to stop a chariot.

Saitama's arms tensed—just slightly.

In the next instant, the tentacle that could have flipped an aircraft carrier froze mid-swing, as if it had slammed into an invisible wall.

And then something even more unbelievable happened

Clinging to the tentacle, Saitama twisted his waist and swung his arms in a wide arc.

"Up!"

The mountain-range-sized octopus monster was ripped straight out of the sea by an irresistible, monstrous force! Its colossal body burst free of the surface and traced an enormous arc through the air—an arc that defied every law of physics.

Aquaman, was riding atop his shark, dodging another tentacle's attack when the light suddenly dimmed overhead. He looked up

And saw the monster's huge body flying across the sky like a thrown wrecking ball. Its shadow swallowed him whole.

Aquaman and the ocean warriors beside him all went stiff, forgetting to move.

Like cracking a whip, Saitama swung the monster's gigantic body and slammed it down toward an empty stretch of sea in the distance.

"BOOOOOM—!!!"

The impact sounded like a nuclear bomb detonating underwater. A towering wave exploded into the sky, forming a tsunami hundreds of meters high that surged outward in every direction.

The fishing boat was like a leaf in a storm, shoved outward by the gigantic swell. Mud and seawater frothed together and blanketed several kilometers of ocean, as if a temporary "landmass" had been raised on the surface.

At the center of the impact point, the sea formed a massive depression that took a long time to slowly refill.

Everything gradually settled.

The octopus monster never surfaced again.

Only a scattering of stunned fish floated up—proof of the terrifying shock that had just erupted beneath the waves.

Aquaman hovered in the water, the hand gripping his trident trembling slightly. His powerful oceanic senses told him the truth

That ancient behemoth's life force… had vanished.

It hadn't been "defeated."

It had been killed instantly—snuffed out by force taken to the purest extreme.

He looked toward the ordinary fishing boat drifting farther away, and the bald figure by its side who had just climbed back onto the deck and was wringing seawater from his clothes.

His heart filled with a shock he couldn't put into words.

Saitama finished wringing out his clothes, looked at the calm sea again, and sighed with some regret.

"Aw… no more takoyaki. But… if I scoop up some of those stunned fish and take them home, that shouldn't cost money, right?"

He turned to the sailors on deck, who were still frozen like statues.

New York, 177A Bleecker Street—the Sanctum Sanctorum.

This place was one of Earth's most important bulwarks against magic and interdimensional threats. But today, that barrier was under pressure like never before.

Space outside the Sanctum looked like shattered glass, riddled with warped, writhing rifts. Beyond those rifts was a bizarre, malevolent other-dimensional vista.

Countless grotesque magical creatures were trying to squeeze their way through.

Some were translucent ghosts, able to pass through walls and ignore physical attacks. Others looked like twisted arthropods, their shells glowing with arcane runes that could resist conventional weapons.

And some were nothing but pure conglomerations of energy, constantly shifting form…
