A few seconds later, the colossal beast's massive body swayed slightly. Then it slowly—quietly—tilted backward, splashing up huge waves as it sank beneath the blue sea, never to rise again.
Through the clear water, they could vaguely see its descending silhouette changing little by little. In the end, it became a creature that was still enormous, but far more common in appearance—gentle, with nothing special about it. It gradually vanished beyond the reach of the deep sea's light.
The ocean surface quickly returned to calm. Only a few floating fragments and fading ripples remained, as if that earthshaking attack had never happened at all.
Namor hovered above the waves, his face filled with stunned disbelief. He could feel it clearly: after that punch, the disgusting aura of dark energy had completely disappeared. Along with it, the sea monster's own berserk energy had also vanished—leaving it as nothing more than a normal sea creature… just a bit too big.
Aqualad's mouth hung open. He looked at the sinking monster, then at Saitama—who was lightly descending from the air and landing on a large piece of floating driftwood. Aqualad couldn't force out a single word.
Namor swam closer to Saitama. All his previous arrogance and suspicion were gone, replaced by a complicated mix of awe and disbelief. He took a deep breath and spoke solemnly.
"Mr. Saitama… your power is beyond anything I imagined. Thank you for removing a crisis from the ocean."
He paused, his tone turning even more serious.
"However, this may not be the end. These dark vines… In my kingdom—Atlantis—we have also discovered traces of something similar. They are spreading across the seabed, corroding our homeland. I ask you—would you be willing to come with me to Atlantis? We need your help."
Saitama stood on the driftwood, steady as a mountain. He scratched his shiny head.
"An undersea kingdom? Sounds kinda interesting. Sure. Since I'm already here anyway."
Namor didn't hesitate anymore. He raised the golden bracelet on his wrist and recited an ancient Atlantean spell. A gentle yet powerful aqua-blue energy wrapped around him, Saitama, and the approaching Aqualad.
"Relax, land-breather," Namor said to Saitama. "My magic will protect you."
Saitama nodded. He didn't really feel anything special.
In the next instant, the barrier enveloping the three of them shot into the water like an arrow, diving toward the deep sea at astonishing speed.
The surrounding light rapidly dimmed, and the pressure increased—but it had no effect on the three inside the magical shield. Colorful deep-sea fish drifted close with curiosity before quickly darting away. Jellyfish and algae that emitted strange lights dotted the black seafloor, forming a dreamlike scene.
They didn't know how deep they'd descended when a magnificent sight gradually appeared ahead.
A huge transparent energy dome radiating soft white light covered an incredibly glorious city! The city's architecture was built from white megaliths, dazzling crystals, and colorful coral—ancient and ornate, overflowing with exotic splendor. All kinds of strange sea creatures moved through the streets and the space above. Soldiers in standard Atlantean armor patrolled while riding seahorses and other sea beasts.
This was the legendary undersea kingdom—
Atlantis.
The magical barrier passed through the city's energy dome and entered inside. Saitama was surprised to find that within the dome there was no seawater at all. Instead, it was filled with breathable air—only the humidity was extremely high.
They landed in a vast plaza before a grand palace.
