Saitama had just killed the arrogant great demon king right in front of everyone.
He stood beside Savage's corpse, not moving for a long time.
All the crowd could really see was that billowing red cape, dyed gold by the setting sun.
In everyone's hearts, there was only one thought—
Saitama was just too strong.
And that fluttering red cape only made his overwhelming strength feel even more dazzling.
But only Saitama himself knew the truth.
The reason he'd been standing there motionless all this time…
Was simply because he was carefully checking the new quest in his system, as well as the rewards that had dropped after killing Savage.
After all, in the TV series "Legends of Tomorrow," Savage was an ancient Egyptian priest who had lived for thousands of years and literally could not die.
He possessed endless magical power that granted him immortality.
Yet now, while that magic still hadn't been exhausted, Savage himself had been beaten to death by Saitama.
This was completely at odds with the wish that Savage, Hawkman, and Hawkgirl had once made together to the Egyptian war god Horus back in ancient Egypt.
So even in a world of American TV heroes—a world brimming with imagination, packed with superhumans, and at the same time grounded in science—
A contradiction had finally appeared that this world could no longer reconcile.
And Saitama was the very bug that caused it.
Because of Saitama's existence, the Time Court—
The organization in the future that monitored all timelines in the "Legends of Tomorrow" universe—
Immediately took notice.
…
At that very moment, in a far, far future era—
Inside the mysterious and grand Time Court,
One Time Lord after another, dressed in pale-blue uniforms, stood at their stations, exchanging their thoughts.
One Time Lord spoke first:
"We truly did not expect that this man in the beige coat and red cape could be this powerful."
Another Time Lord said,
"But we've checked every single timeline… and we still couldn't find any trace of his existence."
A third Time Lord added,
"Not just him. That beauty by his side, the one called Vivian—we couldn't find her in any timeline either."
The other Time Lords passed their information around in turn.
"If our guess is right, they might be superheroes who came into our universe from some other dimension."
After reviewing everything Saitama had experienced since entering the "Legends of Tomorrow" world, the Time Lords were even more shocked.
"How strong does a person have to be… to actually do all of this?"
At this point, everyone's gaze turned toward the Elders' dais in the Time Court.
One of the three elders seated there spoke solemnly,
"We must acknowledge Saitama's strength. But at the same time, we cannot forget the mission we bear."
"We of the Time Court carry the future survival of humanity on our shoulders. That is why we must ensure that Savage lives, and that the aerial bombardment of the year 2146 is allowed to happen. Only then can he become the ruler of mankind and lead humanity in resisting the alien invasions yet to come."
After saying this, that Time Lord turned his gaze toward the others.
"That is my opinion. What about yours?"
The Time Lord beside him replied,
"So in other words, you intend to stand firmly on the side of preserving the original timeline."
The Time Lord who'd spoken first nodded.
"We must place our trust in the computational power of the Eye of the O-Core."
The moment the others heard those four words—Eye of the O-Core—
They all fell silent.
After all, the Eye of the O-Core was the most powerful computation system of their era.
As long as the Eye of the O-Core finished calculating all possible timelines,
No unexpected accidents would occur.
You could say the Eye of the O-Core had already surpassed the almost-mythical thought experiment once proposed in this age—
The so-called "Laplace's Demon."
Then, under the guidance of the presiding Time Lord,
The Time Court authorized its subordinates to bring forth a warrior clad in black armor.
The Time Lord addressed him,
"Chronos, you failed to complete the mission entrusted to you by the Time Court in your previous operation. For that, we imprisoned you and punished you severely."
"But now, we have decided to give you a chance to atone through service. What do you think?"
As he spoke, the Time Lord signaled the others to remove Chronos's old helmet and replace it with a superior model.
Then they upgraded Chronos's equipment across the board, giving him a completely new look.
Previously, Chronos had only been outfitted like a mere Time Hunter.
Now, he had received an enormous boost in power—
His level was already approaching that of the Time Lords themselves.
If he were placed in Saitama's current era,
He would definitely be hailed as a legendary being.
In other words, from the moment Saitama killed Savage with a single punch,
The entire Legends team had officially become fugitives hunted by the Time Court…
And now, the ones hunting them were no longer just ordinary Time Hunters,
But legendary-class Time Enforcers.
…
At this moment—
Saitama finished checking his spoils and felt very satisfied.
"First off, a huge increase in attribute points."
"And then a massive amount of money as a reward."
"And besides that, there's also this strange card related to the multiverse."
Right now, Saitama's attention was completely drawn to that Multiverse Card.
He knew very well that the DC world he was currently in
Was a vast cosmos built from the DC Universe.
And in this DC Universe, it wasn't like in Marvel, where all the heroes lived in a single universe together.
In the DC multiverse, every group of heroes existed in their own respective universe.
For example, Green Arrow, the Flash, and Kid Flash all lived together in one DC universe.
The Superman most people were familiar with, however,
Lived in another universe.
On top of that, there was Batwoman's BATWOMAN universe.
There was the SUPERGIRL universe where Superman's cousin, Kara-El, resided.
There was also the universe ruled by the Lord of Hell, Lucifer.
And the universe where the Preacher walked.
In short, countless heroes all lived in different universes.
If Saitama wanted to go sightseeing across the multiverse,
He could only reach other universes under very special conditions.
And this card…
Was a door that could lead him into that multiverse.
Saitama muttered,
"This card is ranked SSSR in my system. That alone shows how important it is."
"It also says here that I can use it continuously until midnight. Which means I've got plenty of time to fully explore this world."
Saitama glanced over the list of "Superman universes" written on the Multiverse Card and couldn't help but wonder to himself,
"If I actually went to the DC universe where Superman lives… what would happen?"
His eyes drifted over to Barry, and his thoughts jumped ahead—
He pictured the distant future, when a great multiverse crisis would erupt and countless heroes would all gather in a single universe.
He couldn't help but mutter under his breath,
"Barry might be one of the Seven Pillars of the future Justice League, but right now he's way too weak."
"Sparing with him is… honestly kind of painful."
