Chapter 356 - Chapter 356

Saitama tilted his gleaming bald head and drove it straight into Thanos's oncoming fist.

"Courting death?" Thanos's eyes went razor-sharp. His grin twisted; his punch grew even more savage.

"Is he insane—using his head against Thanos with all six Infinity Stones?!" Dormammu sucked in a cold breath at the side.

Pale blue arcs crackled around Saitama's skull. Space fractured in rippling layers. A five-colored meteor of a fist collided with that blue-white "headbutt" and—

The earth shuddered. The cosmos wailed.

Seas heaved like overturned basins; cities vanished in an instant; the firmament caved—doomsday.

Stark Tower.

"Sir, this catastrophe exceeds our defensive thresholds." J.A.R.V.I.S. projected a full-spectrum cosmic map over Tony's desk. A singularity-dark surge bloomed on the display, its shock front enveloping Earth.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Director Nick Fury and a hall of agents stared, aghast, at the changing planet.

"Is this… the end of the world?" Fury whispered. He crushed the pager to contact Captain Marvel. An invisible wave pulsed out—only to gutter and die before leaving the atmosphere.

In that zone, force and mass themselves had lost meaning.

Saitama's head and Thanos's fist slammed together—and time and space simply… stopped.

Minutes later, vision bled back in.

Dormammu gaped. The battlefield had become lightless void—no space, no time, everything reset, like the universe's first inhale.

In this nowhere, Thanos hovered with the Infinity Gauntlet, a sovereign looking down on all things.

Below him stood a thin figure, straight as a spear. The sight made Dormammu's chest tighten.

Saitama.

Blood trailed from Saitama's scalp, ran across the sharp lines of his face. His dead-fish eyes had turned blade-keen, battle boiling in his pupils.

Thanos had actually made Saitama bleed.

But the wound knitted shut before their eyes; in seconds, his head was whole again.

"What a terrifying regeneration," Dormammu thought, heart hammering. Six Stones worth of might—and Saitama had met it head-on. What kind of monster…? How can a human be this strong?

"You're strong," Saitama said suddenly.

The corner of his mouth lifted into a wide, unburdened smile.

A smile—something he hadn't worn in a long time.

Emotion—something he thought he'd lost—surged back, awakened only by taking a hit that actually hurt.

"You… aren't dead?" Thanos stared, dumbfounded. Six Stones, his full power—and he'd only scraped Saitama's scalp? He himself could hardly believe it.

"That was dangerous," Saitama murmured. "If I'd slipped up even a little, I might've died. Good thing I didn't. Which means…"

"…it's my turn."

His fingers curled. Power swelled—a pressure even heavier than his Serious Punch—like a cosmic sovereign opening his eyes.

A primal danger screamed through Thanos. Every hair on his body stood up. His pupils pin-pointed.

"I can't let him throw that punch—if he does, I really will die!"

The premonition was absolute. His intuition had never been louder.

"You're strong. But too bad for you—I hold all six Infinity Stones. The final victory is mine!"

Thanos clenched the Gauntlet.

Snap.

The universe's halving.

A black hush fell across reality. Dormammu stared, stunned, as he himself began to crumble to dust.

"No—impossible! I am Dormammu, ruler of the Dark Dimension! I cannot die here!"

He screamed—but the unraveling wouldn't stop. He watched his own substance flake away into nothing.

At the same time—

Stark Tower. Tony watched as pedestrians screamed and ran outside—only to powder away mid-stride.

S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. Agents gaped at Director Fury as, before their eyes, his body collapsed into drifting grit. Half the room followed.

Thanos's snap was no empty boast.

In an instant, half of all life in the universe was gone.

Even Thanos hissed through pain. The Stones scorched him; half his body seared, his left arm barely responsive.

It was done.

Years of blood and iron had paid off. He had "saved" half the universe.

But one thing made no sense.

Saitama still stood there—unmarked.

Luck?

Or something else?

"…A lot of people died," Saitama said, voice low. A new glint lit his eyes—anger.

Across the universe, in one heartbeat, half of all life had vanished.

So this was the power of the Stones.

"You're fortunate," Thanos laughed, surging forward to finish it. "But it's over—fate is sealed."

Six Stones flared on his fist, light so bright it stripped meaning from time and space.

"You made me feel anger," Saitama said—and actually laughed. "Thanks. I haven't felt that in a long time."

A red radiance gathered over his knuckles.

Pressure rolled out in waves.

From the laid-back, bald salt-fish came a punch saturated with feeling.

Fury Punch vs. the power of six Infinity Stones.

Elbow draws back.

Fist launches.
