"Watch out, Saitama! Ego is the planet itself!"
Gamora shouted anxiously. She couldn't imagine how any ordinary human body could resist the power of an entire world.
Even the mere shockwave from Ego's granite giant fist was enough to blast Gamora, Quill, and Drax into the air like ragdolls.
BOOM—
The massive stone fist, covered in glowing blue veins, came crashing down like an ancient mountain. The ground quaked, the palace shattered into rubble, dust rising like a tsunami as everything around was flattened.
Quill struggled up, coughing blood. Rage filled him. He had believed in Ego, thought he'd found his father, but it was all a deception. He was nothing more than food, an energy source.
Even raised among Ravagers, Quill knew there was warmth and humanity in people. But for Celestials, only power mattered — cold and merciless.
"Hahaha! I'm not dead yet! I'll kill him now!"
Drax roared, clawing his way out of the rubble.
"I know where Ego's brain is! Destroy it and we kill him!"
Mantis stumbled forward, her face pale and terrified.
"Good! Let's go!"
Gamora made a quick decision, dragging Quill away with her.
"What about Saitama?!" Quill shouted, unwilling to abandon him.
"Don't get in his way! We can't help here!" Gamora barked.
The group fled, leaving Saitama alone before the monstrous Celestial.
Ego sneered, ignoring the escaping mortals. To him, only Saitama mattered. As long as this bald man was destroyed, the rest were trapped prey.
"It's a pity. If you had surrendered, your death might have been easier. But to me, corpses make no difference."
The granite giant's lips twisted into a cruel smile.
His massive fist, glowing with blue energy, pressed downward — and then halted.
Crack… crack…
The sound of stone splitting echoed. Chips of granite crumbled away.
Ego's eyes widened. His fist was being forced back — lifted upward by a tiny yellow figure.
Beneath it, Saitama stood calmly, both hands braced against the mountain-sized fist, slowly walking out of the crater step by step.
"Impossible! That was an attack with the strength of the entire planet! No one can resist that!"
Ego's expression twisted. This was power linked directly to the planet's core. Even Titans, famed for their physical might, would be crushed.
But he wasn't facing a Titan.
He was facing Saitama — the man who had broken his limiter.
Once, even Thor's hammer — forged with the heart of a dying star, unimaginably heavy — had been casually lifted by him with raw strength. Compared to that, a planet's punch was nothing.
"Your power is incredible… even better! Hahahaha! I've changed my mind! I'll devour you first!"
Ego's eyes blazed with manic excitement.
He roared. Steel and rock surged around him. His body swelled larger, transforming from granite to gleaming alloy. In moments, he towered nearly a hundred meters high, a colossal titan of living metal.
The aura he exuded was monstrous, enough to crack space itself.
The power of ten planets converged inside him, energy braided together into one unstoppable force.
This wasn't the pitiful Ego of the movies. This was the true Celestial Ego — terrifying, supreme.
"Die!!"
The Alloy Titan's fist, glowing like a blazing star, plummeted down. The shockwave alone flattened distant mountains, shattering the landscape.
Saitama's body was blasted away like a cannonball, tearing a crater thousands of meters wide into the planet's surface.
BOOM!
Dust and shockwaves spread for miles.
Ego landed heavily, chest heaving, staring at the smoking crater.
"That's it. No one could survive that."
But then — rustle, rustle.
From the depths of the crater, a familiar bald head emerged. Yellow jumpsuit, white cape, red gloves.
Saitama stood up, dusting himself off casually.
His dead-fish eyes blinked, then narrowed ever so slightly. For once, there was a spark in them.
Excitement.
"You're strong."
Saitama's lips curved upward in a rare smile.
For the first time in a long while, battle-lust stirred in his blood.
