Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: Whoever Has the Bigger Fist Is Right!

"Child Emperor, evacuate everyone in this building immediately! Something big is about to happen—Tornado's going way too far!"

Atomic Samurai's expression changed, his earlier casual demeanor replaced by grim seriousness.

"I've already contacted Bang. This is such a headache… I really don't want to deal with Tornado when she's on a rampage… Hey! Saitama, get out of here! Leave this to me and Atomic—Wha?!"

Child Emperor's backpack popped open, releasing dozens of small robots while he urgently contacted the Association higher-ups through his communicator.

But before he could even look up to find Saitama, a deafening boom erupted. The entire building shook as if struck by a missile. Dense, almost solid psychic power condensed into a roaring torrent of green energy, shaped like a massive dragon, swallowing Saitama whole before blasting upward through the building!

Steel walls and reinforced structures crumbled instantly, shattering into pieces. Sunlight poured in through the gaping hole, and high above, Tornado followed close behind.

"…"

Child Emperor and Atomic Samurai exchanged a glance, both showing the same helplessness.

"Sensei!"

Genos shouted, wanting to rush to help, but remembering the gap between his power and his teacher's—and seeing Blizzard injured just moments ago—he forced himself to stay put, holding his ground.

—Z City, high above the ruins—

Encased in green psychic energy, Saitama was slammed into the abandoned district, smashing through countless buildings in a ten-kilometer stretch. The destruction split the entire district in two before finally stopping.

In the center of a massive trench—over fifty meters wide and five or six meters deep—Tornado floated down, her green eyes glowing faintly, her small chest rising and falling as her hair drifted around her in the air.

Spreading her arms, she caused all the shattered buildings along the path to rise into the air, forming a dense, unending wall of debris.

"That's for talking bad about me! Die, baldy!"

The mountain of rubble launched toward the spot where Saitama had landed, each chunk of stone fast and heavy enough to pierce steel.

The earth-shaking impact raised a massive cloud of dust, visible even from the distance where Child Emperor, Atomic Samurai, Genos, and Blizzard had chased.

Even for Tornado in a rage, this kind of sustained output was exhausting. A thin layer of sweat covered her small face, though her eyes remained locked on the smoking crater.

"You can only blame yourself for making me mad, dead baldy!"

She muttered with a twinge of regret, wanting to check if Saitama was dead, but her pride made her huff in feigned disinterest.

If he made her angry, killing him was only natural!

Crack… crack…

Suddenly, a sound came from beneath the rubble. Tornado frowned.

The debris shifted aside, and a shiny bald head emerged, followed by a slightly torn yellow jumpsuit.

His dead-fish eyes still carried that listless look.

Saitama pushed the boulder off his body—perhaps using a bit too much force, as the massive rock, taller than a man, sailed dozens of meters away.

Then he casually dusted off his suit and shook out the dirt from his belt.

For a laid-back hero, getting buried in the ground was practically routine.

"…"

Tornado's eyes widened, her small mouth opening in disbelief at the sight of Saitama emerging completely unscathed.

"Impossible! Smashing through that many buildings… even a steel body couldn't withstand that!"

As the one who had launched the attack, Tornado knew full well the destructive power she had unleashed—enough to crush solid iron into a pancake.

"This is your power? For a brat who hasn't even grown all her hair?"

Saitama's dead-fish eyes lifted, a faintly malicious smile tugging at his lips.

"I don't believe it!!"

Enraged and shocked, Tornado's psychic aura burst out again. Her hair whipped violently as invisible power instantly locked down the space around Saitama.

The pressure was like the air had turned to solid steel—he shouldn't have been able to move an inch.

But to Tornado's horror…

Beneath the sunlight, in the middle of the ruins…

The bald-headed demon slowly walked toward her. If not for the ground collapsing several meters with every step he took, she might have thought her psychic power had simply vanished.

"No way! No one can withstand my psychic force—this is equivalent to tens of millions of tons in weight!!"

Her face went pale.

Her psychic power could lift Boros's starship, and in a rampage, she could rival the total weight of all buildings in Z City combined.

How could any living being endure that?

Yet here he was—

That monster…

His expression twisting into a grimace, knuckles cracking as he rubbed his fist, Saitama advanced on her like a demon stepping out of a nightmare.

"Stop! Stop right there!!"

Her voice rose into a shrill cry. Psychic power poured from her without restraint, her delicate face flushing and paling in turn, but no matter what, she couldn't halt his approach.

"If talking doesn't work… then we'll settle it with fists. Whoever's fist is bigger… is the one who's right!"

Saitama grinned, raising his right fist. A suffocating aura of raw power exploded from him in an instant.
