"It's not safe down there right now. I'll leave you here for the moment," Saitama said.
Yinsen was speechless. He grabbed a handful of snow beside him, the icy touch confirming this wasn't a dream.
Leave him here? This monster had just moved twenty kilometers in an instant—terrifying. If he hadn't experienced it himself, he'd never believe it.
"Saitama! Mr. Saitama! Please, you have to save Tony Stark! He's a true genius of our time—he can't die here!"
Once his mind cleared, Yinsen's voice was filled with urgency.
He'd heard Stark speak before. Yes, the man was arrogant, but at heart he wanted world peace.
And as acting CEO of Stark Industries, Tony had sworn during their time together that he'd never signed any sale orders to these militants.
Yinsen truly believed Stark surviving would be a good thing.
"Oh? You mean that iron-box monster guy?" Saitama mused.
"Iron-box monster…?"
Yinsen's mouth twitched. Probably only Saitama had the right to call a groundbreaking masterpiece of weaponry that.
"By the way, where'd they get those weapons? I'm planning to destroy them."
He'd gotten 1% completion for blowing up a cannon earlier. Maybe destroying all of them would finish the quest—and maybe earn him an SSS reward.
"Those… were made by Stark Industries—Tony Stark's company. But I swear, he didn't sign the sale order. Someone else is behind this!" Yinsen explained quickly, afraid Saitama might turn hostile toward Tony.
"Oh. Then stay here for a bit, I'll take care of it."
Decision made, Saitama didn't say another word. With one explosive step, he shot toward the valley below.
Yinsen stared at the five-meter-wide crater left behind… his face bitter.
Rat-tat-tat-tat—
Rumble!!
Bullets and shells poured into the cave where Stark had been held. Angry shouts and cries filled the air as terrorist faces turned pale with shock. They kept firing wildly.
Their leader, Raza, had gone into the cave and not come out—his fate unknown. Instead, out came a hulking humanoid mass of steel!
To their horror, none of their firepower could pierce its armor. That heavy steel suit just kept marching forward, cutting them down like a demon from hell.
"Bring up the close-range field cannon! Blast this bastard to pieces! Damn it—Raza's still in there!"
A lieutenant barked the order, sending his men to haul over the gun. Regular weapons, even heavy machine guns, couldn't destroy that thing.
Boom—
But before the men could move, a massive blast erupted nearby. A transport truck carrying the cannon went up in flames, the weapon twisted beyond recognition, and a pale figure burst from the smoke.
[ Ding! You destroyed Raza's field cannon. Middle East Rescue Progress +4% ]
"Knew it!"
Saitama grinned. He'd rescued the entire population of the town of Sayre but had only gotten 11% progress.
So rescue didn't just mean saving civilians—it meant wiping out the root of the threat. Now it made sense.
"Hey, nice work, buddy!"
Tony Stark was elated. With Saitama around, this was going to be an easy win.
That pale blur moved at impossible speed, targeting the piles of weapons first. A chain of explosions followed, like a fireworks festival.
"Whoa! Saitama, you're overdoing it! Damn it—engage the thrusters, now!!"
The flames from the blasts devoured the entire base, and even the mountains trembled from the force. Stark's face changed as he hurried to ignite his flamethrower thrusters to get clear.
If this kept up, even the steel armor wouldn't protect him from the inferno.
[ Ding! You destroyed Raza's ammo depot. Middle East Rescue Progress +6%. Total Progress: 45% ]
"…Only 45%?"
Saitama frowned. Looking around, he saw the place swarming with red markers—negative Justice Values. In the chaos, those red markers kept disappearing.
And then…
"Stark?"
On his display, there was only one green dot left.
Yes—positive Justice Values showed as green, negative as glaring red. Tony Stark was the only green light in the entire base.
Whoosh—
A gust of wind roared past Stark's ears.
"Whoa! Hahahahaha! I'm finally out of that hellhole! Saitama—maybe loosen your grip a little, I can barely breathe!"
Saitama had him by the back of his steel armor, sprinting like lightning out of the blast zone.
Looking back, Stark saw the valley bathed in firelight from the explosions—an awe-inspiring sight.
