A loud explosion from the campus had woke me up. I peeked out the door and saw fire everywhere. There were demon dogs like creatures everywhere. The dogs had white fur and blood red hungry eyes. This felt familiar. Those creatures looked the bloodhounds from TATSCR.
My dorm mate ran away in fear.
"Wait, N-" I tried to stop him but it was too late. Bloodhounds react to sudden movement. The Bloodhounds instantly caught up to my dorm mate. Bloodhounds were said to be quick in the novel, but I didn't expect them to be that fast. The distance between my dorm mate and the bloodhounds was 50 meters. The bloodhounds covered the distance in less than 0.000005 seconds. They brutally bit him into pieces it was a horrifying sight.
I slowly walked away, making sure not to make any sudden movements. A decapitated arm on the ground behind me tripped me, and I fell down. The noise quickly attracted the bloodhounds, and they were about to attack me. Time. The bloodhouds were just on the air attacking eith an attack that wont hit me. [Stat windows can now be seen] Stats windows? I thought to myself. Looking at my stats in a situation like this wouldn't be the smartest, but at the same time, time wasn't really moving, so I quietly said, "Stats window."

Suddenly, lightning kills the 18 bloodhounds in front of me. A man with blonde hair and blue eyes is in front he was wearing a uniform it. He had a cocky expression. His expression was like, "I just saved you now, kiss my feet."
Jacob. In the novel, when the world was suddenly in an apocalyptic like event, Jacob was a 20 year old college student majoring in nursing. Jacob adapted the fastest to the new changes. He's an Ergolávos a person who made a contract with a God. God's can make contracts with people giving them skills and credits. Jacob's contract was with Zeus.
"Who are you?" Jacob asked me.
"I'm Paul, and you are?" I tried to move closer, but he threw lightning at me. [Ichor Wall - Stage 1 has been activated]. The lightning bounced off me, hitting him.

Jacob was pissed. Some random guy just deflected his attack back at him. He made a lightning sword and attacked me. Using [Reader], I was predicting his attacks and dodging it barely. The novel did describe him as a cocky sadistic psychopath but I didn't expect him to be this bad. [Would you like to use [Archive] to store [Lightning of the gods]? ]
Store skills? That sounded too powerful, but I used Archive anyway. I used [Lightning of the gods] on Jacob. It barely damaged him. It probably pissed him off more. It was a frustrating stalemate. I didn't want to kill him. I just wanted to talk it out. [Personal Skill, Ichor - Stage 1 has been activated]. Suddenly, Jacob was absorbed within me, and a few seconds later, a corpse was ejected out of me. I looked at it in shock.
It felt like [Ichor Wall] had a mind of its own. Activating by itself. Deflecting attacks. It was an anomaly. I didn't focus on it as a banner with the words "Founder's University" falling in front of me. This is where the protagonist appears.
There were slashing sounds and sounds of flesh getting cut. There were screams of terror and otherworldly screeches. Ah, there he is. I smile nervously as a person's shadow can be seen. It was him. It was Devan. His sword was bloody, and he looked at me coldly.
"Who are you?"
He didn't give me a chance to respond as he kicked me through several walls. I fall down in pain. He quickly grabs my collar and lifts me on the air on the edge of the roof. We were on the roof of the university.
"Mr. Devan, wait wait, wait!!!"
He didn't drop me off yet.
"I'm Paul Leser, and I'm a divinator."
I lied through my teeth. Devan looked a bit surprised.
"I'll see if that's a lie,"
Devan used [Truth eye] it was a lie detector skill. Devan eyes widened slightly. [Ichor Wall - Stage 1]
"Why isn't it working?"
[Ichor Wall] was passively protecting me from skills somehow.
"That's because of my strength as a divinator."
I was lying again. He was reluctant to believe me.
The groud shaked as the ground was splitting like something was swimming in the ground. It was an earth worn massive creatures 150 meters long and 80 meters wide.
"I would like to be your companion and help you beat the apocalypse."
Devan was even more surprised and he smirked
"My companion? Why not? You'll be useful"
Devan smiles as he lets go of my collar dropping me as the earth worms leaps from inside the ground.
A lot of things were going through my mind, but I had one thing to say.
"You Oyster Toadfish Gamer!!!"
The earth worm swallowed me and swam back into the ground. Devan walked away as I go down the worms mouth and quickly end up in its stomach alive but very much mad. It took earth worms a while to digest anything so I was in the stomach with a bunch of ground.
