Chapter 121 - Choose

Due to the covert raid by the Tyrant Xenomorph and lictor, an emergency assembly of forces began throughout the Hive City's spire area.

Within just over ten minutes, thousands of Astra Militarum, PDF, and Stormtrooper units had gathered at the temporary command post.

All just to kill the unbridled Tyrant Xenomorph in the center of the hall.

The Astra Militarum even brought out Lehman Russ tanks, firing brazenly without regard for potential damage to the hall's overall structure.

However, whether it was lasers, Bolter rounds, or shells fired from the tanks, none could hardly injure the Tyrant Xenomorph in the slightest.

Ordinary lasers merely gave the Tyrant Xenomorph a photon skin treatment, and Bolter rounds hitting it couldn't even leave a mark.

As for the Lehman Russ tank's shells, they were all detonated in mid-air by powerful Psychic energy.

For a time, the Imperial forces were utterly helpless against the Tyrant Xenomorph.

Facing a creature of the Tyrant Xenomorph's caliber, perhaps only a high-level psyker, or at least dozens of Astartes and a few company commanders, could collectively eliminate it.

Evidently, Avarax, still in its weakened state after the war against the Tyranid, did not possess such level of power.

Just as the Imperial forces on site were continuously charging forward, even attempting suicidal attacks with melta bombs.

Marcus, who had already retreated to a distance with the lictor, remotely recalled the Tyrant Xenomorph.

For Marcus, killing the Inquisitor was enough; there was no need to continue letting the Tyrant Xenomorph clash with the Imperial forces.

After recalling the Tyrant Xenomorph, Marcus and the lictor continuously maneuvered through the spires, moving downwards.

Compared to the top level of the Hive City, the Upper Hive and Underhive areas were larger and easier to shake off the increasingly numerous Imperial security forces.

After spending tens of minutes, Marcus and the lictor finally got away from the Imperial forces' encirclement and hid in a concealed location.

"Alright, suck out his brain matter and check his memories."

Marcus ordered the lictor in front of him.

Upon receiving the order, the latter's mouth tentacles wriggled, instantly sucking out all of the Inquisitor's brain matter.

His remaining memory fragments were appearing before the lictor.

And Marcus began his interrogation.

Ten minutes later, Marcus, having finished communicating with the lictor, began to ponder.

According to the fragmented memories absorbed by the lictor, this Inquisitor was named Vorvin Hoffman, an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos.

And this fellow's purpose in coming to the Recidious Star System was twofold.

First, to assess the damage caused by the Tyranid to the system and report directly to Roboute Guilliman himself.

Second, as Marcus expected, was to search for his whereabouts.

However, this mission did not come from Roboute Guilliman himself, but from the Great Sage beside him, Belisarius Cawl.

Cawl and this Inquisitor struck a deal: if the latter could find clues about Marcus, Cawl would use his resources to help Hoffman advance further in the Inquisition.

"I shouldn't have had any contact with Cawl, right? Why is this guy looking for me?"

Marcus was a bit confused.

"Never mind, he's dead anyway."

Marcus had actually considered keeping him alive, but ultimately dismissed the idea.

Inquisitors had all sorts of bizarre methods, and even the Spiritual Energy Contract might not be able to completely restrain him.

After resolving this hidden danger, Marcus finally felt a bit more relaxed.

"First, I'll deal with the matters in the Resident Evil world, and then I can focus on here."

Marcus murmured.

The Recidious Star System, currently in a weakened state with little resistance, was perfectly suited to be his base in the Warhammer Universe.

Of course, Marcus would not treat this place like the Resident Evil world, using force to suppress it; that would simply be courting death.

Recalling the lictor, Marcus opened the system panel and returned to the Ishimura in the Resident Evil world.

Lying in the captain's chair, Marcus began to ponder.

To conquer a Underhive World and a star system would undoubtedly require a detailed and meticulous plan.

For this, Marcus needed to think carefully during this period.

In fact, Marcus already had a general direction: to use the Psychic Contract to first win over a group of cowardly Hive City nobles and the like.

Then, gradually take control of the entire planet.

Just as Marcus was conceptualizing his plan in his mind, the system prompt, which he hadn't heard for a long time, rang in his ears.

[Host has completed Mission Objective 1. Mission judgment in progress. Judgment passed. Mission rewards are being distributed. You have received Random Draw Chance x 1. You have received the title "Cleaner." Title effect: Slightly increases your damage against organic enemies.

Host has completed Mission Objective 2. Mission judgment in progress. Judgment passed. Mission rewards are being distributed. You have received Random Draw Chance x 1. You have received the title "BOW Terminator." Title effect: Increases your damage against all types of organic bioweapons.

Host has completed the second phase of the main mission objective. Mission judgment in progress. Judgment result: Perfect. You have received Random Draw Chance x 2. Host has completed all mission objectives in the current world. Received World Anchor x 1. dimensional travel Count + 1.]

Looking at the series of prompts that popped up on the system panel, Marcus casually took out the World Anchor and anchored it to Earth.

Then, he checked the remaining rewards one by one.

First were the two titles, both damage-boosting types, with no special functions.

"But speaking of which, the scope of this 'organic bioweapon' seems quite broad."

A glint flashed in Marcus's eyes.

Astartes and Captain America, who had injected the Super-Soldier Serum, or Master Chief, a product of the SPARTAN program, could all be considered types of organic bioweapons.

"I wonder what my current combat power level is."

Marcus shook his head; it had been a while since he found a suitable sparring partner.

Perhaps when he returned to the Warhammer Universe, he would have a chance to determine his strength.

After completing the second phase of the Resident Evil world mission, Marcus had accumulated four draw chances.

However, he was not in a hurry to use them immediately.

Instead, he looked at the last reward.

The newly added dimensional travel count.

[Current available dimensional travel count: 1. Will randomly dimsional travel to one of the following worlds: Avatar movie universe, Titanfall game universe, Transformers movie universe, Alien movie universe, StarCraft game universe. Initiate dimensional travel?]

The original Resident Evil universe was replaced by the Avatar universe, and the Cyberpunk 2077 universe was replaced by the Alien universe.

Overall, the average difficulty of the five worlds had increased slightly compared to before.

The StarCraft and Titanfall worlds were clearly the most difficult.

Then came Transformers and Alien, and finally Avatar.

However, Marcus did not intend to initiate a new dimensional travel now; he planned to first manage the Resident Evil world well, and then gradually take control of Hive World Avalax in the Warhammer side.
