Chapter 63 - Getting Started

In the center of the area.

The Tyranid Hive Tyrant weakly raised its ferocious head, letting out a final roar towards the sky.

It seemed to be a chain reaction from that roar.

In the distance, the Tyranid that were charging rapidly all shrieked and fell.

A few, however, fell into a state of chaos, engaging in a frenzied battle with other Tyranid creatures around them.

Within a radius of several hundred kilometers, from the lowest Venomthrope to the Exocrine, and even the Tyrant.

All the Tyranid were affected, and their previously fierce offensive instantly vanished.

However, all of this was only temporary.

The Hive Mind would soon breed a new Tyranid Hive Tyrant to take over this battlefield.

Moreover, the newly resurrected Tyranid Hive Tyrant would be even more cunning and brutal than before.

But no matter what, the Imperial Guard finally had a rare moment of respite.

And Marcus and the others had successfully completed their mission.

"This is Talasa Squad, the alien leader has been eliminated!"

Opening their communicators, the group began to report to Titus.

"Very good, board the Thunderhawk, rendezvous with Veridian Squad, then come to the Starseer Relay Station."

Titus immediately issued the order.

Everyone then began to call for a Thunderhawk.

Soon, a Thunderhawk slowly descended into the clearing.

Without the synaptic connection command of the Tyranid Hive Tyrant, all Tyranid flying creatures within a radius of several hundred kilometers had disappeared.

The Empire's various aircraft could fly without scruples, adjusting supplies and personnel at the fastest speed.

The four stepped into the cabin, and the Thunderhawk began to fly rapidly towards the Ecclesiarchy cathedral in the distance.

That was where another squad, Veridian Squad, was carrying out the mission of eliminating heretics and restoring communications.

Inside the cabin, Marcus let out a long breath, then leaned back in his seat.

The battle with the Tyranid Hive Tyrant was not actually that thrilling.

After all, they were facing a Tyranid Hive Tyrant that had already been severely wounded, with possibly only one or two tenths of its strength remaining.

And with Varius, Straban, and Vespasia responsible for drawing fire from the front.

Marcus had only hidden behind cover and unleashed two Energy Feedback this time, and used Mind Power to detonate a few melta bomb.

Originally, Marcus had also planned to use the Iron Blooded Predator shoulder cannon, that ultimate weapon.

However, the chain explosion of the melta bomb far exceeded his expectations, so he did not use it.

But Marcus didn't care; anyway, he would have plenty of opportunities to verify the power of the shoulder cannon in the future.

Opening the system panel, Marcus began to check his gains from this time.

In the illustration interface, a beautiful card representing the Tyranid Hive Tyrant had already appeared.

The Tyranid Hive Tyrant has various variants holding different symbiotic weapons.

Some of them can even grow wings on their backs, becoming Winged Tyranid Hive Tyrant.

And the Tyranid Hive Tyrant that Marcus obtained was a pure close-combat type, wielding bone blades and a tentacle whip, and growing two scythe claws.

Looking at the Tyranid Hive Tyrant's illustration, Marcus's heart burned with excitement.

His Tyranid Warbeasts unit had already taken initial shape.

The Tyranid Hive Tyrant served as the Commander, the Enhanced Lictor was responsible for strengthening other Tyranid Warbeasts, and the Exocrine served as the charge general.

The Lictor for stealth assassination, the Venomthrope for burrowing ambushes, the Spore Beast for remote mine-laying, and the Lictor for fire support.

Three BOSS-level units, four special units, plus other elite units, were enough to handle most situations.

He couldn't claim to be able to walk sideways in the Warhammer Universe.

But at least, Marcus was no longer in the state he was in when he first transmigrated, struggling even to fight a Tyranid Warrior.

"Calling Veridian Squad, this is Talasa Squad, we have boarded the Thunderhawk and are heading to rendezvous with you."

More than ten minutes later, the Thunderhawk arrived at the target location and picked up the three members of Veridian Squad.

Then, the Thunderhawk began to fly rapidly towards the Starseer Relay Station.

After a while, the Thunderhawk arrived at the Starseer Relay Station.

As everyone stepped off the Thunderhawk, the Imperial Guard responsible for defending the area knelt in salute.

Soon, inside the relay station, Titus, Chairon, and Gadriel rushed out of the relay station.

Seeing this, Marcus knew that Titus and the other two had, in the past half hour, initially repelled the Thousand Sons Sorcerer Lord, Imurah.

"Board the Severian, we have a new mission."

Titus walked past everyone and boarded the Thunderhawk.

The others followed closely behind.

"We have sent a request for reinforcements to Calgar, and you all performed exceptionally well in this mission. I will report to Captain Acheran and commend you."

The others saluted.

After a pause, Titus continued.

"Captain Acheran just sent word that the Imperial fleet detected Chaos forces entering the star system, heading straight for the nearby Tomb World, Deemulim. We need to re-plan our combat deployment."

There was a moment of silence in the cabin, then Decimus of Veridian Squad sneered.

"Finally, I can face those despicable traitors directly. My Bolter and Chainsword are already thirsty for blood!"

Soon, the Thunderhawk Gunship broke through the atmosphere and headed towards the Imperial fleet in space.

Along the way, Marcus could see countless flying vehicles shuttling between the Imperial fleet and Avarax.

Due to the tight situation in Deemulim, the Imperial fleet had to dispatch a large number of troops from Avarax for reinforcement.

Of course, this measure would also greatly increase the pressure on the remaining Imperial Guard on Avarax.

Countless Astra Militarum Soldiers and Imperial civilians would die in Tyranid offensives that could have been defended against.

Shaking his head, Marcus withdrew his gaze.

He didn't have the ability to worry about such things yet.

Even with a nascent Tyranid Warbeasts unit, he could barely protect himself.

Perhaps when he became stronger in the future, and collected more Tyranid Warbeasts, or even living ships like the Hive Ship, he would have the power to influence an interstellar war.

Soon, the Thunderhawk Gunship entered the hangar of the Severian.

As soon as they disembarked, everyone quickly headed towards the bridge.

Along the way, Marcus could see.

The Ultramarines who were originally deployed on Avarax to assist the Astra Militarum Soldiers in defensive missions had all returned to the Severian and were assembled.

They were fully equipped and ready to depart for Deemulim to face the Chaos forces.

Facing the Thousand Sons, a powerful and established Chaos force, the Ultramarines Second Company had brought out all their strength.

Even the Dreadnought had been brought out.

In the square not far away, several Dreadnought were being inspected and blessed by Tech-Priests and Tech Sergeant.

Soon, everyone arrived at the bridge and saw Captain Acheran, who had a solemn expression.
