Chapter 1 - Prologue

If you think money can't buy happiness, maybe you're right. But if you think you can survive this world without money, think again.

In this world, money is everything.

Money is power, the law, and the truth.

It is their god.

Those who have it, reign. Those who do not, obey.

This is the norm of this world. The never-ending reality since trade was invented. The reality no mere civilian can change or dare to go against it. The rich will always be rich; the poor will always be poor.

Many dared to climb the mountain of fame and fortune, but most fell before they could even reach the summit, failing to stay on the pedestal they once stood. And some couldn't even elevate to a higher step in fear of losing everything upon the climb.

It is but an impossible mountain to climb as you can lose everything, like gambling your peaceful life for a small thread of hope of becoming a king or a higher possibility of falling into the bottomless pit of despair and debt.

But what if climbing is the only choice you have? The only choice you have in order to survive.

Would you take the risk without certainty of success, or stay in the shackles of poverty where death awaits?
