Tenryuukaku University stands at the heart of Tokyo, Japan—an institution planted and grown at the city's core. Prestigious and exacting, it brims with geniuses and prodigies across academics, knowledge, sports, and athletics.
Our story follows Yu Moccaji, a second-year student: a diligent kid from the countryside who excels in his studies and—despite never joining a sports club—possesses surprising agility and flexibility. Beneath his calm, respectable image as a member of the Disciplinary Committee, Yu hides a secret: he is a passionate, fantasy‑loving geek. Surrounded by close friends of both sexes, he is enjoying a peaceful and fulfilling campus life…
Well… was.
That peace shattered—one fateful afternoon.

~{Tenryuukaku University - 2nd Floor Hallway}~
Two people came into view, walking through the hallway brimming with students moving to their next classes: Yu Moccaji and his fellow Disciplinary Committee member, Ami Sakuraba, a friendly gyaru junior and Yu's closest female friend.
"Hello, Moccaji-san!" a student greeted with a smile.
"Good day, Sakuraba-san!" another greeted as they passed.
"Good day, Moccaji-senpai!" called another before dashing off.
"Good day to you too! Make sure to attend your next class on time!" Yu replied with his usual kind and friendly tone.
"Dang, still respected as ever, huh? Yu-senpai?" Ami teased, nudging him with her elbow.
"Yeah, I'm happy about that. I'm glad they respect me too, heheh," Yu replied, tilting his head and rubbing the back of his neck shyly.
"It's 'cause you're kinder and less strict than the other Disciplinary Committee members," Ami explained while peeking through a classroom window before continuing on.
"Heheh, I guess so," Yu said, glancing out a window.
Ami spun around to face him, tilting her head. "Anyways, where else do we need to patrol before we report to Senior Kuchika?" she asked, glancing at Yu's checklist board.
Yu flipped through his board. "Hmm… let's see… the rest of the ground floor and lastly, the cafeteria, aaaaaand we're tight!"
"Alrighty! Let's—" Ami started, but suddenly, light began forming beneath them, slowly shaping into a magic circle.
"HUH?! WHAT THE!?" Ami yelped, panicking as she tried to move away, but the glowing pattern followed her every step without delay.
Yu, startled, dropped his checklist board. "THE HECK IS THIS?!" he exclaimed. All around campus, the same phenomenon unfolded—white glowing light forming into magic circles beneath every single person.
The two exchanged a glance, realizing the next events would be inescapable… inevitable.

~{??? - Yu's prespective}~
"I… opened my eyes. All I see around me is… a void of white."
"Left, right, behind, below, above… just… an endless white void."
"Hmm…?"
"My body is… gone. I'm just… a spirit now?"
"Where even am I? Am I dead?"
…
Then, a black screen appeared before me. On it, bold letters read:
{Your Innate Power is called GLUTTONY}
"I know the meaning of the word… but… what does it mean by innate power?"
I touched the screen. Immediately, the description appeared:
{GLUTTONY– A primal power born from insatiable hunger and relentless consumption. This innate ability is bound to your very stomach, manifested through a visible Hunger Meter at the top-left of your peripheral vision. You replenish it by devouring food or siphoning energy from living beings with every strike you land.
The fuller your Hunger Bar, the stronger you become—your mind sharp, your body in perfect control. But as the bar empties, the hunger gnaws at your sanity. You grow unnaturally fast, yet your movements turn erratic and feral. This frenzy is known as Gluttony Drive—a state where instinct overpowers reason, and your body acts only to feed, whether it be aimed toward friend or foe.
Whether a gift or a curse, Gluttony's true nature depends entirely on how you manage your hunger.}
"This seems… very useful… and not so useful at the same time. Honestly depends on the Hunger Meter percentage… and the place and time."
"Hmm… alright then…"
I swiped away the screen—only for two new ones to appear:
{Choose Your Race} & {Choose Your Class}
It honestly surprised me. "WOAH! OKAY!? There are two new screens now… race and class, huh? Is this supposed to be some sort of RPG?"
So… I guess I decided to choose my race and class.
"First, let's start with my race…"
<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x
I pressed the {Choose Your Race} button, and rows of multiple races appeared before me:
{RACES:}
{Human}
{Demi-Human(...)}
{Elf(...)}
{Dwarf}
{Halfling}
{Goblin(...)}
{Vampire}
{Spirit}
{Merfolk}
{Fairy}
{Dryad}
{Orc}
{Undead}
{Demon}
{Angel}
"What a wide variety of races, hrmm..."
I scanned through the list and decided to choose Goblin... just because I was intrigued. As I selected it, another menu popped up:
{Goblin(...) - Chosen}
{...Standard Goblin}
{...Hobgoblin}
{...Horned Goblin}
{...Bugbear}
"I guess I'll go with the Horned Goblin."
I tapped on Horned Goblin, and a detailed description with race passives appeared, along with a confirm button below:
{Horned Goblin — Mistaken for demons, Horned Goblins are much more agile, hard-skinned, and efficient with using their heads in combat... literally.}
Race Passives:
Horned Headed (Offensive Boost)
Increases melee damage when charging or headbutting. Can stagger small, short, or similarly sized enemies.
Cunning Reflexes (Agility Boost)
Faster reaction time; slight increase to dodge speed and trap evasion.
Blood Resilience (Durability Boost)

{Confirm Choice?}
...
I nodded in affirmation and pressed the confirm button:
{Horned Goblin Race - Chosen}
The black screen now displayed:
{Race: Horned Goblin}
<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>
"Now I'll have to choose my class next, lemme see."
{CLASSES:}
{Melee Classes(...)}
{Ranged Classes(...)}
{Stealth Classes(...)}
{Magic-Based Classes(...)}
{Support & Utility Classes(...)}
"Oh, so I see, class types... hmm... I'm gonna need to be a class that matches and works well with my GLUTTONY Innate Power, so I guess I'll need to go with the Melee Classes then."
I tapped {Melee Classes(...)}, and another menu appeared:
{...Warrior}
{...Swordsman}
{...Berserker}
{...Pirate}
{...Brawler}
{...Monk}
"Now considering my Horned Goblin Race & GLUTTONY Innate Power—all about agility and needing strength when it counts—being a powerhouse won't do me squat. So the wisest and most fitting choice would be..."
{Swordsman - Weapon specialist focused on swords and dueling}
Weapon Type Availabilities: Broadsword, Longsword, Rapier, Saber, Katana, Odachi
{Confirm Choice?}
...
I pressed the confirm button, locking in my choice:
{Swordsman Class - Chosen}
The display now read:
{Class: Swordsman}

The two screens solidified my selections before vanishing, replaced by a new prompt that floated into view:
{Welcome to the New World, Yu Moccaji}
I blinked, stunned. "Wait… what? The New World?"
Before I could make sense of it, a surge of white light engulfed my entire body, flooding my vision completely, until—

~{The New World - Yu's perspective}~
A glowing magic circle flared beneath my feet, as my body finally began to take shape.
Light swallowed everything for a heartbeat—and then, warmth. The glow faded, and I found myself standing in a world far different from anything I knew.
Sunlight stabbed at my eyes, bright and merciless. I raised a hand to shield them, squinting until the haze cleared. What spread before me was breathtaking: an almost endless expanse of vivid green grass rippling under a clear blue sky. No buildings. No roads. Just nature, pure and untouched, but I could see trees, rivers, hills and mountains a bit farther from here.
And then... I looked at myself.
"HUH?! M-MY SKIN'S BLUE?!" My voice cracked with disbelief. "I'm still wearing my university uniform though..."
As I turned my hands over, more details hit me like a truck.
"WOAH! I HAVE A TAIL?! AH! AND LONG EARS AND EVEN HORNS!?"
The Horned Goblin race... this must be because of that.
Before panic could sink its claws in, more circles flared into existence all around me, dotting the plains like stars. They formed at random spots, glowing white before erupting into silhouettes of people—dozens, maybe hundreds. Familiar faces emerged: students, professors, even janitors. All from Tenryuukaku University. And just like me, most of their appearances had changed.
Elves with pointed ears. Halflings barely reaching my waist. Broad-shouldered dwarves. Slender spirits glowing faintly. Every single one still wore the same uniform we left in—but almost no one looked human anymore... I think?
Then, the circle beside me lit up. A figure stepped out, and my heart nearly skipped.
"SAKURABA-SAN?!"
Yes, it was Ami Sakuraba[1]. Her eyes then went wide. "HUH?! IS THAT YOU, MOCCAJI-SENPAI?!"
I stared. She had cute cat ears twitching atop her head, and a long, swishing tail behind her.
"YOU HAVE CAT EARS AND A TAIL NOW!" I yelled before I could stop myself.
She shot back without hesitation. "AND YOU'RE BLUE?!"
Seriously? That's what she noticed first?
Figures. Sakuraba-san clearly picked Catfolk. Totally fits her vibe.
All around us, chaos spread like wildfire. People gasped, prodded their new features, or argued loudly about where they were. Some checked their reflections in shiny blades, while others stumbled around, dazed and mumbling.
"Looks like... everyone here's from Tenryuukaku University," I muttered. "They're all wearing the same uniforms."
"But why us?" Ami asked, her brow furrowed.
I thought hard, but all I managed was: "Maybe because we're one of the top five universities in the world?" Even I didn't sound convinced.
She gave a small shrug, cat ears twitching. "Guess that makes sense."
I sighed, scanning the horizon. "But seriously... where even are we?"
"No clue eitherrrrrr..." she replied, hands on hips, tail swishing lazily.
<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>x<>
Suddenly, another black screen appeared in front of every single person, surprising us all once again:
{Goal 1: Create a Kingdom &/or Civilization}
Before anyone could react, another screen appeared beneath it:
{Choose Job/Role}
Now we have to choose our job or role in creating and building up a kingdom or civilization?
"Now we have to choose our jobs or roles for building this kingdom or civilization?" Ami asked, tilting her head exaggeratedly as if reading my thoughts.
"It seems so," I replied.
She called out to me, her cat ears perking up. "Senpai!"
"Hmm?" I turned toward her.
"What job or role will you pick?" she asked curiously, tail swishing a bit playfully.
I glanced at the button in front of me. "Hmnnn... let's see..."
I pressed the button, and rows of job and role options unfolded before my eyes:
{JOBS & ROLES:}
{Builder}
{Farmer}
{Fisherman}
{Lumberjack}
{Miner}
{Blacksmith}
{Runesmith}
(Doctor/Healer}
{Cook}
{Tailor}
{Merchant}
{Enchanter}
{Appraiser}
{Hunter/Scavenger}
{Mercenary}
{Knight/Guard}
The best choice for me was obvious—Hunter/Scavenger. It would be the most practical for keeping my Gluttony Innate Power stable.
I confirmed my decision and pressed the option. A detailed description appeared:
{Hunter / Scavenger}
Description: Track and hunt down monsters and beasts. Salvage useful materials from corpses to earn experience points.
Insight & Masteries:
Beast Knowledge – Recognize, identify & spot monster weaknesses and habitats with ease.
Extraction Mastery – Extract rare materials efficiently.
Tracking Expertise – Leave no prey uncaught; increases tracking range either it be from footprints, tracks, scent, or slight clues.
{Confirm Choice?}
...
"I'm choosing the Hunter/Scavenger role," I said aloud.
"Oh, I'll join you too!" Ami replied enthusiastically, her tone almost bouncing with energy.
"Alright then. I just hope the others weren't reckless with their choices," I muttered honestly.
"Let's just hope for that too," she agreed before tapping her confirm button.
I pressed mine as well, finalizing my selection.
{Hunter/Scavenger Job - Chosen}
The screen updated:

Across the field, roles and jobs were being chosen and locked in—builders, farmers, hunters, healers—everyone somewhat unitedly forced to work in tandem to cultivate, grow, and build a civilization from nothing.
I leaned toward Sakuraba. "Should we try and find the other committee members?"
She nodded without hesitation. "I think it's better that we should. More familiar faces are better."
"Yeah. Let's get on moving."
Priority set: locate the rest of the Disciplinary Committee.
We slipped into the shifting crowd—voices overlapping, uniforms brushing past, new tails and ears and horns and such everywhere—as we scanned for our friends, calling names and checking faces…

[1] Ami Sakuraba (20) A very social & strict gyaru that is a part of the disciplinary committee & is Yu's closest female friend.
