Julian was immediately shocked by what Anindya said.
"Human trafficking? Is that real?" Julian asked, still struggling to believe it.
Anindya didn't answer immediately. She reached into her right skirt pocket, pulled out her phone, and turned it on. Then, she opened the internet and went to a news site she had bookmarked. Without a word, she turned the screen toward Julian.
Julian's eyes widened when he read the headline.
"National Police find 20 teenagers in an old bunker deep in the Riau Islands forest—half of whom have been declared dead"
"Look," Anindya said quietly.
"This news is a case of human trafficking" Anindya continued.
Julian's gaze lingered on the article.
"I thought this news was a hoax..." Julian said in disbelief.
"No, Julian. This is real" Anindya said, shaking her head slowly.
Anindya stopped shaking her head and looked back at Julian.
