Chapter 10 - Chapter 9. The Charm of the Princess

When Anindya arrived on the field, she walked towards her class line. As she walked, all the students fell silent with expressions of admiration. Her captivating beauty, combined with a sweet, small smile, made her every step seem graceful and classy. She walked calmly, unperturbed by the stares that followed her from all directions.

As Anindya made her way to Julian's class line, Julian, who was fifth in line, accidentally saw her walking. Anindya deliberately glanced in his direction.

Their eyes met. They both seemed momentarily taken aback by the sight of each other. However, Anindya quickly smiled mischievously and winked at Julian. Julian immediately felt embarrassed. His face flushed, and he quickly lowered his head in embarrassment.

However, as he looked down, Julian felt a multitude of sharp gazes directed at him. He glanced left and right and was surprised to see students from other classes—even his own classmates—staring at him with expressions filled with jealousy.

Julian didn't know what to do; he could only stare straight ahead with an awkward expression, unsure of what to do. Meanwhile, Anindya, noticing this reaction, chuckled, holding back her amusement.

Shortly afterward, the class leader from class 11-D called out to Anindya.

"Psst! Anindya, get in line, we're about to start!" the class leader said in a low but clear voice, signaling with a small wave of her right hand.

Anindya turned to her class leader and replied,

"Ah, yes, class leader!" Anindya replied.

Anindya immediately quickened her pace, heading to her class's line. Meanwhile Julian

"W-Wiro, switch with me, I'll go to your line," said Julian, his cheeks still flushed.

"Huh?! Why?!" Wiro asked with a confused expression and tone.

"Um, I just needed to calm down," Julian said, looking away.

Wiro, seeing Julian's expression, could only sigh and smile.

"Haa, okay!" Wiro said with a smile.

After that, the two of them switched places in line. Meanwhile, Anindya, who had arrived in her class, was greeted by her three friends standing in 5th, 6th, and 7th position in the same line. Wulan, who was in 7th position, said

"Here comes our class princess, hihihi!" Wulan said, in position 7, said with a mischievous smile and waved at Anindya.

"What the heck!" Anindya replied sheepishly.

Her three friends simply smiled at Anindya.

"Anindya, line up in front of me" Desy said from 5th position while pointing in front of her.

"No way! I can't relax in 5th position!" Anindya said, waving her hand and walking to the back of the line.

But before Anindya could go far, Desy teased her again.

"Very Sadly, if this happens, I'll be the only one who can steal glances at Julian~" Desy said with she smile and glancing at Anindya.

For Your Info: Julian's class line is to the left of the 11-S class line which means class 11-Soccer, while Anindya's class is to the right of the 11-S class.

When she heard that, Anindya stopped walking. She turned and went to Desy. She held both of Desy's arms and said,

"Then let's swap. Let me be in your line, Desy!" Anindya said, her eyes shining as she looked at Desy.

"O-okay!" Desy replied with a surprised expression.

After that, Desy stepped back, and Anindya took fifth in her class's line. But it seemed Anindya had been tricked by Desy, as she couldn't see Julian because he was blocked by other students.

Anindya jumped up and down, peeking around small corners in the rows of students from other classes. But she still couldn't see Julian. Anindya resigned herself to it, but just as she did, she heard a chuckle from behind her.

Hearing this, Anindya became annoyed. She turned to Desy and said in a low but clear voice,

"Desyy!! You tricked me, didn't you?!" Anindya said, holding back her emotions.

"Eheheheh, sorry Anindya," Desy replied, laughing mischievously.

"I don't want to know about this, Let's swap again!" Anindya said with an annoyed expression and tone.

While Anindya was frustrated with Desy, the flag ceremony official suddenly instructed that the flag ceremony was about to begin.

"The flag ceremony is about to begin, students, please be quiet and calm!" the flag ceremony official said firmly into the microphone.

Hearing the flag ceremony official's words, Desy grabbed Anindya's shoulders and said,

"Maa~ Maa~, Later, I'll treat you to Seblak Seafood in the cafeteria~" Desy said, turning Anindya to face forward.

"Promise?" Anindya asked, glancing in Desy.

"Yes, promise!" Desy replied with a sweet smile.

"H-hmph! Okay then" Anindya said, snorting and turning her face forward.

Desy couldn't hold back her laughter seeing how easy it was to prank Anindya.

"This kid is so easy, hihihi" Desy thought to herself, chuckling.

The two of them finally stood up straight and returned to their positions. The field was now completely silent. Only the sound of the morning breeze gently blowing, and the warm sunlight touching the students faces.

The flag ceremony began, and the Red and White flag was slowly raised. All the students stared forward, solemnly singing the Indonesian national anthem "Indonesia Raya". Anindya glanced sideways occasionally, but still couldn't find Julian. Meanwhile, Julian had swapped places with Wiro who was on his left, because he wanted to calm himself down because of Anindya's wink, this made Anindya unable to find Julian.
