Chapter 7 - BLOOD SLAVE-THE FIRST ENCOUNTER CH7

BLOOD SLAVE CH7- THE FIRST ENCOUNTER

When Leon returned from morning training, he saw his grandmother getting ready to leave.

"I'm visiting a friend today," she said warmly. "Eat something before heading out, alright?"

Leon nodded, but he didn't feel like eating

Leon didn't feel like staying home either.

Maybe it was the way the wind carried a strange weight today. Maybe it was the way his thoughts kept circling the past. Or maybe-he just needed to breathe.

So, without telling anyone, he slipped on his black long coat , grabbed his phone , and boarded a local bus heading toward the forest trails outside the city.

He found a window seat near the back, pushed the glass down, and let the wind roll in. It was cold, clean, and carried the scent of pine and distant rain.

As the bus started to move, Leon leaned his head against the window. His eyes wandered through the trees, the fields, and the flashes of city fading into green. The hum of the engine and the gentle rocking of the ride almost lulled him into peace.

Meanwhile.

Not far from where the forest thickened into untamed wilds, a black van rolled to a stop along a gravel road. The doors opened with a hiss.

One by one, figures stepped out.

They wore black tactical uniforms, each marked by a sharp V-shaped brooch on their collars-sleek, menacing, and uniform. Their movements were precise, military.

Then came the second group-men and women dressed in black T-shirts and long lab coats, their expressions cold, analytical. Scientists, but not the good kind. The kind that didn't flinch at what others called unethical.

Finally, the last to emerge.

A young man-tall, lean, strikingly handsome. His messy black hair looked like it hadn't been brushed in days, but somehow it worked. A V-shaped silver earring hung from his right ear, catching the light as he stepped out. He wore round black sunglasses, even in the shaded woods, and in his mouth-

-a lollipop, slowly being turned with casual boredom.

He stretched lazily, then adjusted the collar of his white lab coat. His presence was relaxed-but dangerously out of place. Like a cobra sunbathing in the middle of a picnic

His black round sunglasses reflected the trees as he spoke with calm intensity.

"We must find it. At all costs."

"Yes, sir!" the entire group responded in unison.

---

Back at the forest...

Leon arrived and took a slow breath, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. As he wandered, he noticed a group of students nearby-on a field trip, guided by teachers for a nature study project.

One of the female teachers, noticing Leon's calm presence, mistook him for a local guide. She approached him, a bit embarrassed.

"Excuse me, young man. Could I ask a small favor? Our tour guide who we were supposed meet here backed out at the last minute and is now demanding extra money. Would you be willing to help us, just a bit?"

Leon glanced at her, eyes unreadable. "No, ma'am," he said quietly.

"Are you perhaps alone incase could you please show us the way to the NEXUS RUINS ?"the teacher asked with enthusiasm .

Nexus ruin is a old crumbled ruin said to have build by an emperor that once conquared this land in about 300 B.C . It was supposed to be a temple for some god like zeus or somthing but no statues or worship idols were found but alas Now, only crumbling white pillars and mysterious stone tablets remained, their writings long forgotten unable to understood .

Leon thought for a few seconds then replied . " hmm I could guide you there."

The teacher beamed with relief and quickly waved to her students. "Everyone, follow him!"

---

Leon led the group through the trees until they reached the ruins- or what was left of them.

The students murmured in awe, taking photos and notes.

But not all of them were interested.

A group of delinquent students, bored and rebellious, scoffed at the history lesson. "This is all ancient garbage," one muttered. "Let's go explore the forest.it is much more fun. We'll be back before they even notice."

The timid student they often bullied hesitated. "I don't think that would a good idea ... it might be dangerous."

They punched him in the gut. "Don't start lecturing us, shitface.we don't need your overall blabbering "

The group slowly disappeared into the deeper woods.

Hours passed by, leon rested on the soft grassy ground ....

As clouds began to roll in, darkening the sky, the teacher turned to the students. "Alright, let's start to packup head back."

But as she counted heads, her face turned pale.

"Four students were missing."

One of the girls raised her hand. "I... I saw them wander into the forest earlier."

Panic spread quickly. The teachers split into three groups to search. The female teacher ran back to Leon.

"Please... could you help us?"

Leon sighed. He didn't like getting involved. But something in the way the storm brewed above, the forest growing darker, pushed him to act.

Leon sighed, irritated-but the weight in the sky, the deepening wind, and something he couldn't quite explain made him nod.

"Fine "

Using his sharp tracking skills, Leon found faint traces-crushed grass, broken twigs-and followed them deeper into the forest.

The clouds thickened above, and the wind grew colder, darker

Leon pushed deeper into the forest, the branches scratching at his coat like desperate fingers.

The sky above rumbled, and lightning flashed again and again, turning the world into a flickering nightmare. Thunder cracked like a whip, loud enough to shake the trees.

That's when he saw it.

Blood.

A fresh trail smeared across the leaves and dirt. It wasn't much, but enough to stop him in his tracks.Leon isn't someone who would tremble at the sight of blood he would analyse every

Possible move correctly in order to determine which is the rigth one ..

His crimson eyes remained cold, but his head tilted slightly. Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

A few meters ahead, behind a tree, three figures crouched-shaking. The bullies. Their mouths were covered, eyes wide with panic, like children who had seen a ghost.

Leon stepped forward and placed a hand on one of their shoulders.

They flinched hard-screaming.

"AAHHH!"

All three stumbled back, terrified.

"Shut up," Leon said, his voice low and sharp like a blade.

They froze.

"What happened?"

The tall one gulped. "I-It took him... the kid... he disappeared near this weird stone-then something came out..."

Leon didn't blink. "What came out?"

The fat boy clutched his side, trembling. "I don't know what it was. Some kind of... giant wasp. Insect-like. But not normal. It had pale purple skin... glowing green eyes... and this... this mouth-like a monster. So many teeth..."

Leon's eyes narrowed, but his face remained still.

"It attacked?" he asked calmly.

The fat boy nodded. "It slashed me, man. I was bleeding-still am..."

Leon looked down at the trail of blood. Then back at them.

"Where did this happen?" he asked.

The short boy replied quickly, still shaking. "Near a white brick... it had a star shape on it. Like some kind of altar."

For a moment, Leon said nothing.

The sky lit up again, casting his expression in silver and shadow. A faint smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

A monster ,a star-shaped brick in the middle of nowhere. And a disappered kid

To leon all of this mystery was like a

the stimulation he wanted so these questions and mystery made him excited.
