"The chain of catastrophic events begin from that day"
It happened during the start of Mana harvesting festival. The dungeon of Melancholy was a bit less crowded due to harvesting festival, as most of the adventurers were busy participating in the harvesting festival. It was a bit awkward to see the dungeon office like this, considering almost 15000 adventurers ventured inside the dungeon on regular basis. But still, the quest board 1,3,5,6,7,9, 13,15,19 were surrounded by parties, guild members and solo adventurers.
After having a cup of coffee, I decided to look for a quest on board no 11. Where I came across a strange one. It was about an adventurer named Novan Alexandra ,who had gone missing on floor 7789 for 3 days. Though most of the adventurers including me usually ignored such quests ,as the reward to risk ratios are not great in such type of quests. But, the reward of this quest was 3 gold orions. Which was huge considering most of the quest involving floor 7600-7900 only paid about 7-9 silver orions. I figured that most of the adventurers ignored the quest After reading the word 'missing'. I immediately validated the quest and headed for quest giver's address.
The house of the quest giver's was located at
Lugicia square. The street was full of prostitutes. To be honest, I never liked this place. It almost seemed like I entered a epileptic whorehouse. After wandering off the street for a few times , I finally found the house and knocked the door. The door was opened by a middle aged women with blonde hair , light skin and brown eyes.
Her voice filled with disdain, she asked the purpose of my vist.
"I'm Adam Williams. I'm here to discuss details about the quest posted by Clarie Alexandra " I said nonchalantly while showing her the validated quest.
Her expression softened , she immediately invited me inside her house. We sat down at the table.
"Mrs Clarie, can you elaborate the incident for me ? " I asked her calmly
"Novan was a B2 rank adventurer. he worked with a party called 'Hellcats'. It was just like a normal day, he told me that he is taking on a monster hunting quest with his party on floor 7794 and he'd be back by 8pm. When he didn't return , I rushed towards the dungeon building, being worried about him. It was where I met his party, they were at the dungeon patrol station. They were writing a missing report about Novan at the station. With teary eyes, They told me the grieving news. While returning....., Novan suddenly vanished on floor 7789. They searched for him on the whole floor, hunting monsters and even searching the nearby floors. But they found nothing. even the traces of Mana have been disappeared. The patrol team declaredit as a dungeon anmolity and called of the search." She replied with pale and sobbing voice
After listening to her, My suspicion grew clear. I knew what was happening.
