Chapter 3 - The game begins

Thinking that something happened again, Riaz hurriedly got out of the car, only to see Simon scurrying back to the bar and climbing up to the second floor.

Louis, who had just appeased the frightened guests, happened to see Simon on his way. He decided to follow his brother into the private lounge he had been a while ago.

The room was empty. The girl who had promised to wait for him to come back had already disappeared.

Huh...Indeed, the figure he had just seen over there was her! Interesting!

She was also the first person who could slip away under his nose...

The corners of Simon's lips curled up slightly. Light flashed in the depths of his eyes, showing his interest.

A hooker? Really...She had pretended so well!

The playful look on his face disappeared as he ordered Louis directly.

"I want all the information about that woman in half an hour."

"Holy sh*t"! Finally there's a woman who can catch your attention! Did the sun rise in the west today?"

"Tell me honestly, did you sleep with her how did she taste, huh? Twenty-six years old and you finally lost your virginity to a girl. You're unprecedented.."

Louis immediately became excited. He was really interested in the petite woman who had turned Simon around her finger.

He chased after Simon, throwing bunches of questions on him.

"Shut up! Take me to the hospital and clean up this Simon interrupted Louis impatiently. His handsome face was so indifferent, sporting no emotion.

At this time, poor Emma wasn't aware that someone had laid his interest in her.

She caught a taxi and told the driver the address.

Tired, she rubbed her forehead, trying to recall what had happened in her previous life.

In one month, she would be engaged to Zachary. Because of the incident at that bar, she was put in the limelight.

All the members of the Moore family had turned their backs to her, except for her grandfather.

In the most desperate moment, Zachary had insisted on getting engaged to her, the woman people had considered impure.

He even swore that he would take care of her for the rest of her life.

But ridiculously, the love Emma thought was true was just a complete conspiracy.

Zachary was Mr. Sanders' illegitimate child. No one knew his mother. Since Mrs. Sanders couldn't have a child of her own, the Sander family decided to bring him home.

Emma, on the other hand, was the only daughter of the Moore family and the only heiress to the Moore Group.

And the president of the Moore Group wasn't Keefe Field, her father, but Govind Moor, her grandfather.

Keefe had married Emma's mother and stayed with the Moore family. Because of his daughter, Govind had made Keefe the general manager of the Moor Group.

After Emma's mother died in a car accident, Keefe, with the excuse of taking care of Emma, lad married his secretary Remi, who had brought Gaia, her own daughter to the Moore family together. Govind had always looked down his nose at Zachary.

Because of the horrible incident in the bar, Emma had felt guilty toward Zachary.

She had done everything she could to fight with her grandfather on giving all her shares to Zachary, keeping nothing for herself. In the end, he kicked her away mercilessly.

Emma hadn't known a thing until she lost everything. She was drugged at the bar. Her anti-fan splashed acid on her face.

Her grandfather died in a fire, and a help had accused her of murdering...

It turned out, Zachary and Gaia were the ringleaders behind all of these.

Everything happened to Emma was an indispensable chess piece for them to reach their pinnacle of life...

"Miss, here we are."

While she was absorbed in her thought, the taxi pulled over.

The driver reminded her politely, thinking that Emma had fallen asleep.

After getting out of the car, Emma realized that she had left her wallet in the bar. She didn't have any money with her in this moment.

"Please wait a moment, I forgot to bring the money. I'll pay you right away."

When the driver heard this, he immediately became alert. After all, Emma's outfit was strange.

How could he be at ease to let her go? What if she ran away?

Emma was helpless. In the end, she had to call Gaia with the driver's mobile phone.

"It's me, Gaia. I forgot to bring money. Come out and help me pay the cab."

Gaia was perplexed when she heard Emma's voice. Emma was supposed to be drugged and having group sex with those men at the bar, wasn't she?

Why did she come back so soon?!

"Oh, okay, I'll be right there!"

Gaia quickly hung up the call and got out of bed. She hastily pushed the bathroom door open.

"Hey, that b*tch is back early. Quickly, put on your clothes. No time to shower!"

"What?!"

Zachary slipped and almost tumbled.

"What's going on? Didn't Irene say she succeeded?!"

"I don't know what's going on. I'll go down and check her first. Hurry up! Get out of my room. Don't let her find any clues!"

Gaia urged Zachary again, and then grabbed her wallet and hurried downstairs.

Waiting for quite a long moment and seeing no one coming, the driver became more and more uneasy. He eventually got out of the car, staring at Emma as if he was afraid that the girl would run away.

"Sir, you see, this is my neighborhood. Do I look like someone who would run away?"

Emma was so helpless. The driver looked her up and down, and his eyes explained everything.

"Yeah, girl, you do!"

For a moment, Emma was speechless. She could only curse Simon that b*stard under her breath.

If it weren't for him, how could she have fallen into such an awkward situation?

The eldest daughter of the Moor family couldn't even afford to pay the taxi fee. If the news spread out, people would laugh their heads off.

"Oh gosh... Emma, how did you become like this?!"

A good-pitched exclamation came from behind her.

Emma froze at this familiar voice. Her eyes became icy and soul-devouring. She turned around at her spot to see the coming person.

That gentle, graceful face that made people loosen their guard appeared in her sight - Gaia Field!

Emma's heart suddenly shrank, and the agony when her heart was literally taken out drowned her once again.

In the dark night, Emma clutched the fabric on her chest tightly, her eyes as cold as ice.

The girl in front of Emma was far less delicate than five years later. Still, she looked innocent and immature.

Gaia was a girl of her prime twenty-one years old with soft, long hair draping around her shoulders. She looked pure and flawless, but most of all, she looked like a copy of Emma!

Looking at the tender face in front of her, Emma wished to tear her to pieces, but she didn't do anything.

Instead, she quickly withdrew her expression and put on a kind smile.

"Didn't you go to the bar with Irene? What happened to your clothes?"

Gaia quickly walked over and held Emma's hand. Her sharp eyes gawked in shock as she saw the hickey on the other's neck.

A gloating look arose from the bottom of her eyes, but it disappeared quickly.

Although Emma came home earlier than expected, it was obvious that their plan had succeeded!

Emma quietly pulled her hand back and put on her usual, simple-minded face with a smile.

"It's okay."

"How come it's okay? You're wearing a man's jacket. Where's your coat? Oh gosh, your skirt is torn too!"

Gaia acted like she was so shocked, bringing one hand to cover her mouth and exclaiming. She pretended to pull the jacket off Emma's shoulder to expose her body.
