The morning sun had just risen and its pleasant rays projected beautifully on the grand mansion of the Valentines.
A young and beautiful brunette with hazel eyes sat indifferently before her huge, dressing mirror, an older lady brushing her long, wavy hair.
"I really envy your hair. It's so soft and long." Tasha smiled cheekily while carefully brushing the girl's hair, strand by strand, untangling every unyielding twists ever so gently as if the hair were as fragile ad glass.
"Could you hurry up? I'm sick of sitting." The girl who was sitting before the dressing mirror, frowned impatiently.
Tasha, her personal maid and best friend, never got exhaustion from endlessly complimenting her.
"Relax Juliet. I would be done before you know it." Tasha smiled before braiding parts of the girl's hair and finally styling it into a beautiful bun. Tasha was truly the best at making her look glamorous.
"You always have to out do yourself, huh?" Juliet said, staring at herself in the mirror. Before she could say another word, Tasha ran quickly to her bedside and picked up the peach, flowery dress that lay on the bed. She helped Juliet into the dress before dramatically squealing.
"Goodness! You look so pretty." The enthusiastic Tasha proceeded in twirling Juliet round and round. Juliet, who was caught off guard, nearly lost her balance and had to hold Tasha's shoulders to regain composure.
"Are you out of your mind?" Juliet glared daggers at the two Tashas she could now see due to dizziness.
Tasha, on the other hand, laughed mischievously. "Your parents await your presence so off you go, clumsy." Tasha chuckled so Juliet nudged her in the stomach.
"Why, you little!" Tasha clutched unto her stomach with widened eyes. Juliet smirked and walked majestically towards the door.
Turning to face Tasha with a smug grin, she widened her eyes and made a run for it when she saw that Tasha was about to grab her.
"When I get my hands on you!" Tasha ran after Juliet, who laughed uncontrollably. "You'd have to catch me first." Juliet yelled and continued running, laughing as well like a delighted child.
Suddenly, she bumped roughly into the rigid chest of a tall man. She rubbed her head and glanced up to see who she had bumped into.
"Juliet, how many times do I have to say that ladies don't run?" An angry Stefan stood tall as he scolded Juliet. He was in a black suit, pants and a pair of ever shining black shoes.
"And how many times do I have to say that I don't care?" Juliet smiled mischievously before tightly hugging Stefan.
The aged man's face scrunched up as he felt astonished and annoyed.
"Good morning, Stefan." Juliet cooed with a grin while Stefan gently pulled her away. He had been raising her ever since she was a child but she never seemed to get that as the child of nobles, she had to act like one.
"My lessons on etiquette and poise definitely aren't sinking in." Stefan shook his head with a sigh when Juliet nodded.
"Exactly. You're such a boring, old man." Juliet put on a frown while Stefan couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Your parents await your presence. Adjust your dress and walk like a proper lady, please." Juliet snickered.
"Fine, fine but it's only because you begged." Juliet tiptoed and quickly planted a kiss on Stefan's wrinkled cheek.
"Catch you later, old man." Juliet waved as she ran along. "Stop running, Juliet." Stefan sighed heavily then continued to go his way.
Eventually, Juliet reached the dining room, where lush dishes were arranged attractively like a feast was about to be held. Her parents were sitting, looking elegant in their wears.
After greeting her parents respectfully, she sat opposite them and sighed quietly, knowing they were going to have yet another boring breakfast.
