Chapter 5 - chapter 5

The lights of Dubai glittered like a million stars in the sky as Annah stood on the balcony of Valentino's penthouse. The desert air was warm, and yet her heart carried a mixture of fear, love, and trauma. So much had changed, she had changed. But tonight, everything would finally fall into place.

Valentino had found her. Rescued her from the hell Alex had dragged her into. He hadn't asked for explanations he just saw her bruises, her broken heart, and said, "I should've never let you go."

 Two Weeks Earlier…

The day Valentino barged into Alex's hideout in Istanbul, it was as if a lion had returned to reclaim what was stolen from his kingdom. His men took out Alex's guards one by one, and the silence in the house cracked like lightning when Valentino found Annah locked in the marble bathroom.

She had a deep cut on her shoulder, her lips were bleeding, and her body trembled with pain and shame. And yet, the moment she saw him, she whispered, "You came…"

 "Always."

He lifted her like a child and held her against his chest, pressing kisses on her forehead. "You're safe now. No one ,no one will ever hurt you again."

That night, he flew her back to Dubai and cleared every trace of her past. Alex disappeared. Rumors said he was buried in the very desert he once used to hide his enemies.

 Present Day

Annah walked into the grand hall of Valentino's villa, her eyes wide with disbelief. A ceremony was happening. Golden lights flickered. Hundreds of roses lined the aisle. Was this…?

Kayla, one of the few maids who had always been kind to Annah, pulled her aside.

"He's waited for this day for years," she whispered. "He wants to marry you. Not out of pity, but because no other woman ever made him feel human."

 Annah's heart pounded.

She walked further in and saw him. Valentino. In a white designer tuxedo, standing beneath a golden arch of flowers, holding a velvet ring box.

"I didn't want to rush you," he said, his voice cracking. "But you're my beginning and my end, Annah. I was never whole until I found you. The world may call me a monster, but with you, I'm just a man in love."

Annah's eyes filled with tears. "After everything ,do you still believe in me?"

"I believe in your soul," he whispered, falling to one knee. "And I want to be the man who helps you heal. Will you marry me not as a slave, but as my queen?"

Tears slipped from her eyes. "Yes. A thousand times, yes."

 The next day

Valentino went to meet annah mother ,asked her for forgiveness and promised to change all bad sides about him but her mother forgive him all because since he kidnapped her daughter,he used

 One Year Later…

The wedding was the talk of the underworld. Mafia bosses from Italy, Russia, and South America attended. But Annah dressed in a custom silver gown with a tiara on her head was untouchable. She wasn't a slave anymore. She was the queen of a man feared by all.

At the wedding reception, Valentino held her close. "You made me human, Annah."

"You gave me back my life," she replied.

But the peace wouldn't last long.

One rainy morning, Kayla rushed into their bedroom, panic in her voice. "Madam, it's Arik. She's back. And she has something… dangerous."

Arik' the girl who betrayed Annah. Who seduced Valentino and framed her. Annah had tried to forget her, but wounds like that always left scars.

They found Arik in the courtyard, surrounded by police. She had snuck in with documents and voice recordings trying to blackmail Valentino and claim that Annah orchestrated the entire plot against Alex.

"You're not the only one who knows how to play this game," Arik sneered. "You think love will protect you? You're still just a girl from the streets. A slave who got lucky."

 Annah didn't flinch.

"You're right," she said softly. "I was a slave. But I walked through fire and came out crowned."

The evidence was forged, and the authorities soon arrested Arik. She screamed as they dragged her out, but it was too late. Her time was over.

 The Rise

 Years passed.

Valentino stepped back from the mafia world, slowly turning his empire into a network of legit businesses tech, real estate, philanthropy. He wanted a peaceful life for his family.

Annah? She founded a foundation for abused and trafficked women. The Annah Rising Foundation became one of the most powerful forces against modern slavery across Africa and the Middle East.

She often said during interviews, "I once had no voice. Now I speak for those who can't."

And as for her personal life?

 She became a mother.

A beautiful baby boy Romeo. And a little girl named Rose, who had her mother's fire and her father's steel.

One evening, years later, Annah stood on the same balcony of the Dubai penthouse, Valentino behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. The skyline glowed.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked.

"About how I was once just a girl in a dark room," she whispered. "And now I'm someone's light."

Valentino kissed her neck. "You've always been a light. Even when I was drowning in my shadows."

She turned and looked at him.

"You didn't just save me," she said. "You gave me something to live for. A crown. A kingdom. And a love that fought through hell to survive."

Valentino cupped her face. "You were never mine to own. But loving you? That was the only right thing I ever did."

Their lips met in a kiss that held years of pain, passion, redemption, and fire.
