Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Terrifying Slash, All Supernovas Annihilated!

Watching the pirates fleeing in a panic—

"Think you can get away?"

Creed strolled forward as if on a leisurely walk, instantly closing the distance to one of them.

His blade came down.

The pirate crossed his sword to block, but both he and his weapon were cut clean in half.

At this point, of the five pirate Supernovas, two were dead!!

All around, pirates scattered in terror.

"Ittōryū · Tatsumaki (One-Sword Style · Tornado)!"

Creed swung his blade, the sword aura stirring the air into a roaring tornado.

Far ahead, a fleeing Supernova was swept into it.

Inside, the razor-sharp sword aura sliced at his body again and again.

In an instant—

His flesh was torn to shreds.

With a roar, he transformed into an upright humanoid wolf, breaking free.

Landing on the ground, his face lit up in exhilaration—like a man returned from the brink of death.

But then a voice froze his very soul.

"Oh? An Animal-Type Devil Fruit user, huh?"

One slash—and the third Supernova fell dead!!

Creed glanced into the distance. "Two left."

His form vanished. In the distance, sword aura exploded, followed by screams.

The fourth Supernova—dead!

Only one remained.

Yuri was now in utter panic, pouring every ounce of strength into his escape. He couldn't believe it.

Five Supernovas—every one dead except him!!

His soul trembled.

Regret crashed over him. Why had he been so stupid?!

How could the Marines possibly send a powerless child to replace Admiral Kizaru?

Was Marine Headquarters brain-dead? Letting a fifteen-year-old guard Sabaody Archipelago—the gateway to the New World?

Bullshit!!

We're the real idiots!!

Creed followed unhurriedly behind Yuri.

This batch of Supernovas was rather weak. The strongest bounty was only 150 million berries—likely around the level of Bunian, that brigadier.

As he trailed, Creed didn't spare the ordinary pirates either—slaughtering them in passing.

Screams rang through the entire lawless zone.

From Area 2 all the way to Area 29, the pirates' courage had been shattered.

Ahead was the commercial district. Yuri looked back—

The terrifying youth had only just stepped into Area 29.

He could escape!!

He could really escape!!!

Ecstatic joy filled his heart.

Creed watched Yuri about to leave the lawless zone. He stopped in place, slowly drawing rinne from his waist and raising it high.

His sword aura flared brilliantly, the blade glowing with a deep, ominous light.

The aura poured forth, and he brought the blade down with force.

"En… Zan (Flame Slash)!!"

A black slash of sword aura burst forth, so fast it was beyond comprehension. Friction in the air ignited flames along its edge.

"AHHHHH!!!!"

A scream split the air—Yuri was cut clean in half, the look of relief from his narrow escape still frozen on his face.

Many watched from afar, their throats locked as if gripped by invisible hands. Not one could speak.

There stood Creed at the entrance to Area 29.

Yuri's corpse lay near Area 30.

From Creed's feet stretched a deep, straight fissure all the way to the end of Area 29—everything in its path sliced perfectly in two.

The scene shook them all.

That one slash—

Had cleaved the entire Area 29 in half.

What… what terrifying swordsmanship!!

With the pirates leaderless and broken, the Marines swiftly captured them. The riot ended soon after.

Back in Area 2—

The Marine base's senior officers now looked at Creed with awe.

Fifteen years old… and already this terrifying.

His future was certain—an Admiral of the Marines.

After quelling the riot, Creed didn't linger, leaving the cleanup to Bunian. He took Ain and headed for the Marine base.

Along the way, every face they passed showed nothing but respect.

The next day.

Marine Headquarters, Marineford.

In the Fleet Admiral's office—

Sengoku and Garp each sat with a basin of rice cakes in their laps, eating away.

"With Creed gone, I almost miss the kid," Zephyr said, biting into a rice cake.

"He's in Sabaody now—probably having a great time with Ain," Garp replied.

"Probably," Sengoku nodded.

"With him there, nothing will happen in Sabaody while Kizaru's gone."

"Yeah, nothing ever happens… unless someone goes looking for it," Garp said knowingly.

At that moment, a Marine entered.

"Fleet Admiral, today's newspaper."

As usual, Sengoku opened it—

The moment he saw the headline, his eyes widened. Then he looked at Garp with a strange expression.

"Yeah," Sengoku said slowly. "He doesn't go looking for trouble… but trouble sure goes looking for him."
