Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: The Mysterious Wind Sword Sect

Chapter 23: The Mysterious Wind Sword Sect

The frantically anguished young man cried out a few broken words before collapsing to the ground, his voice abruptly terminating.

Confused, Ning Fengzhi gestured for the large man to investigate.

The man hesitated, his eyes filled with fear of the unknown. Finally, Ning Fengzhi glared fiercely at him, and the man stepped forward, trembling, and placed his finger under the young man's nose.

"Master, he's dead!" The large man, after investigating, quickly retreated away from the young man, whose eyes were still bleeding.

"Dead?"

"Yes!" the large man said with certainty, his eyes flickering with fear, wondering why such a healthy young man had suddenly undergone such a transformation.

Ning Fengzhi fell into deep thought. Li Tianyi's mind was already racing. "Rakshasa" must be the Rakshasa God, that's for sure!

But wasn't that Bibi Dong's inheritance? He had never heard of such a strange occurrence. Could this Rakshasa be the other Rakshasa?

Countless thoughts raced through Li Tianyi's mind, but his expression remained carefully controlled, revealing a hint of panic and bewilderment.

He couldn't help but be cautious; Ning Fengzhi's eyesight and intellect were truly razor-sharp.

"Xiaotian, can you see what's going on?"

"Huh?" Li Tianyi casually replied.

Ning Fengzhi slapped his forehead and said with a wry smile, "Look how confused I am. Why am I asking you this? I don't know, and you certainly don't know."

Li Tianyi softened his expression, adopting a casual, indifferent expression, and nodded.

Ning Fengzhi turned to the four men and said sternly, "Since he's dead, and looks like a pathetic individual, let's find a good cemetery for him to bury."

The four men stared at the corpse, stunned for a moment, and for a moment, no one stepped forward to intervene.

Ning Fengzhi's voice turned cold, "Didn't you hear?"

The four men quickly lifted the young man and ran out the door.

"That's right!"

Ning Fengzhi seemed to have remembered something and added, "The dead are the greatest. It doesn't matter if there is no name monument, but you should buy some wine as a tribute, and you can go to the sect to claim the bill later."

The four agreed and left, and there was a hint of tenderness in their eyes when they looked at their sect leader.

Li Tianyi, who was watching from the side, saw this scene and felt a little more admiration in his heart.

He didn't know if Ning Fengzhi's move could be considered as buying people's hearts, but it was indeed pleasing to watch.

Which younger brother doesn't want to find a kind-hearted elder brother?

Li Tianyi thought for a while and tentatively said, "Sect Leader Ning, since this person is strange, why don't we carefully examine his body?"

Ning Fengzhi stared at Li Tianyi for a long time, then turned his back to the two large holes left by the black light.

He sighed deeply, a tone both dejected and yet with a touch of relief. "Without a certain level of strength, not integrating what you already have, but instead excessively exploring the unknown, may be a curse rather than a blessing!"

Li Tianyi didn't understand what he meant when he first heard this, and stood there for a long moment, lost in thought. It wasn't until Ning Fengzhi leisurely walked out the door that he suddenly shuddered.

The look in his eyes as he looked at Ning Fengzhi had completely changed. This man's strength might not rank among the best in Douluo Continent, but his understanding of life seemed to have reached another level.

Li Tianyi wasn't sure if his suspicions were correct, but Ning Fengzhi's ability to suppress his curiosity about the unknown, even to the point of not even glancing at it, was enough to make him feel inferior. However,

Li Tianyi wasn't disappointed. If his strength wasn't up to par, he would naturally need to be more calculating, but with strength, he could single-handedly break through all obstacles and conquer everything.

Thinking of this, Li Tianyi's eyes flashed with confidence.

It seemed he needed to go out.

Li Tianyi followed Ning Fengzhi out of the auction hall.

"Uncle Gu, what brings you here?" Bone

Douluo, his face haggard and his eyes sunken, replied immediately, "I heard something was going on at the auction, so I rushed over."

Ning Fengzhi smiled bitterly and shook his head, "It's nothing, an accident that's all over."

"By the way, where's Uncle Jian?"

Bone Douluo said, "I don't know. When there was some movement here, he seemed to sense something and vanished."

Ning Fengzhi didn't ask any more questions, and the three of them continued walking back side by side.

Li Tianyi suddenly remembered something and asked, "Sect Master Ning, I wonder who broke into the Spirit Hall all those years ago?"

Ning Fengzhi paused, considering, and said, "If someone else had asked, I wouldn't have told you."

Li Tianyi felt a headache. This guy must have made it a habit to win people over. Every word he said had to be loaded with meaning, and he was so slow and tedious.

Ning Fengzhi's eyes darkened as he recalled it, and he lowered his voice, "You still remember the old man from the Wind Sword Sect, right?"

It was him? Li Tianyi wondered inwardly, not at all surprised.

"Do you know his level?" Ning Fengzhi's expression began to grow strange.

Li Tianyi, recalling the look on Platinum Bishop Salas's face at the time, boldly guessed, "Super Douluo?"

Ning Fengzhi smiled wryly and shook his head.

Bone Douluo, standing nearby, said in fear, "I never thought the Wind Sword Sect actually harbored a peerless Douluo!"

"What?" Li Tianyi couldn't help but raise his voice a few notches. He'd thought it was bold enough to assume that a resource-poor Wind Sword Sect elder was a Super Douluo, but he'd miscalculated.

Ning Fengzhi frowned and nodded, saying, "There's no doubt about that. That day, he injured Pope Bibi Dong with a single strike, and in the end, he even drew out that old fellow Qian Daoliu." "

And what happened in the end?" Li Tianyi asked hastily.

Ning Fengzhi glanced at Bone Douluo.

Bone Douluo said, "The old man exchanged blows with Qian Daoliu and then withdrew, seemingly merely testing the waters."

Li Tianyi asked, "A sect possessing a Peerless Douluo can only be one of the four current sects?"

Ning Fengzhi narrowed his eyes. "This Wind Sword Sect rarely leaves the world. Their reputation is well-known, but few have ever glimpsed their full potential."

"No one even knows the sect's address?"

"No one knows, at least not my Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect." Ning Fengzhi then felt a pang of regret, his fist unconsciously clenching. "If I had a Peerless Douluo, ah..."

First the inexplicable Wind Sword Sect elder, now Rakshasa. Li Tianyi felt his thoughts swirling. As far as he knew, even one Soul Douluo was considered a good thing for the four major sects. What on earth was this Peerless Douluo that suddenly appeared?

Furthermore, he sensed something was amiss. As far as he knew, there were only a handful of Level 99 Peerless Douluos in the world.

Two relied on their faith, and the most talented of them was probably still suffering in Slaughter City. This newcomer might also possess a legacy, otherwise he wouldn't dare be so arrogant.

Li Tianyi, overwhelmed with thoughts, suddenly thought of the term "butterfly effect."

With his arrival, the world seemed to remain normal, yet many unexpected changes seemed to have occurred.

Gazing at the distant sky, Li Tianyi suddenly felt a sense of urgency.

Regarding the question of martial spirits, many friends will ask this, so the author can give a small spoiler.
