Darrell's POV
I was looking forward to finally meeting Evelyn's father. I have been to all the houses of the men who had appeared on the list, and just like I had expected, they were all scared for their lives the moment I walked in.
I had saved the best for last, Evelyn's father, Ethan. I approached his house and much to my surprise, he was still in the same house meant for the council members
Apparently, he seems to be sensible enough to cover his tracks nicely..
Zed approaches, standing right next to me as I stood outside the gate.
"This is not going to be an easy meeting," I said, only for him to nod.
"I can sense that as well. This man will be very difficult to get talking to. Seeing that he is not like the rest, covering his tracks nicely" Zed said.
There is nothing else we can use to threaten this man and clearly, he doesn't care about his own daughter.
"None of our threats would make him yield to anything we say. " I said
