When the meeting was over, everyone headed to their respective homes.
Evelyn and her goons stayed back, whispering and talking in hushed voices while stealing glances at me..
I was waiting for Joanna to return so we could head back together but apparently that was a bad idea.
Evelyn and her goons now have the opportunity to get back at me..
"Lady Larrissa, I have a few questions of mine" Evelyn started with that cunning smile on her face…
"If it's something that lacks relevance then I would rather you not ask"
"It's been how many months since you started sleeping with the Alpha? And we are yet to learn anything about a potential pregnancy"
"Who knows, maybe she's barren," one of her friends said, and the rest burst into snickers.
I sat there watching her silence even though Ava was threatening to come out..
If I let her out, Evelyn was not going to survive the fight so I stayed put, trying to calm myself down.
