Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Brawl

Brawl

Thinking about escaping is easier than done. After that huge commotion was dealt with by some strange men, the party just continued so as work just like nothing happened. When the night died down, Taewon helped Jie to settle down the night in one of the rooms meant for people like them while being held as 'slaves' in this damn club. With six other people occupying a small space and had to sleep next to each other sharing a bed, Jie doesn't give a fuck.

"You're extra grumpy today," Taewon commented with a laugh while slipping through his work uniform.

They, with the other workers, are currently in the locker room preparing for another busy night.

Jie just throws him a glare trying to say as if he doesn't know. Who wouldn't be grumpy when you lack sleep for three consecutive dawn? It's all because of the beta-girl roomie that wouldn't stop crying because she was extorted by her beloved ex-boyfriend. And yes, it's his third shift today serving bullshit customers who seem to have the best of their lives while he suffers from all the noise and smell of the place.

"On the brighter side, it's the annual event today. Bigger customer, bigger yield," Taewon obviously excited.

"You're always on the brighter side," Jie commented silently but enough for Taewon to hear.

"Let's skip talking and start moving. The club will open in an hour!" Manager Han Yu rushed them as he entered the locker room.

A busy night has begun and people start flooding the whole place. Music starts bombing and the colorful lights start dancing. Everyone was in such a rush to serve drinks, food, and entertainment that there was no time to dilly-dally for chats. Jie was also accustomed to the tables which he was assigned to serve while Taewon was initially inclined to serve in VIPs thus they never saw each other for a few hours.

After holding it in for a quiet few minutes, Jie excused himself to use the restroom. The permission to excuse himself even for a bit was hard to obtain because of the busy night and orders kept on coming. But when he was finally permitted, Jie immediately left cursing them in his mind. If he was going to agree anyway, why did he make it take so long? Would they pay for his bills if he gets an infection from holding his urine? Jie doubted it.

However on his way towards the restroom, Jie stumbled upon Taewon spacing out, far from the Taewon he first met. He was just standing there, outside a closed VIP room, the veins in his hands were showing while holding a silver tray. Jie could care less, well they just met anyway, it's not like they're friends to begin with for Jie to care.

"You look troubled," Jie asked once he reached Taewon enough for him to hear.

Taewon jolted awake and looked back at the approaching Jie.

Well, Jie should not care. He didn't ask that because he's worried but simply because he's curious about what's going on with Taewon. That's all. Plus, he doesn't feel the need to visit the restroom at the moment.

Taewon's lips draw a smile, however obviously a fake one. "It's you. I… I better… I should," Taewon was trailing on his words. Although he tried to mask it with his stupid smile which doesn't work on Jie, his hands began to shake and beads of sweat started to form on his temple.

"I'll see you later."

But before Taewon had the chance to slip away and enter the VIP room, Jie was fast enough to grab the hem of his uniform to stop him from his steps.

Jie looked away, avoiding Taewon's questioning look, licked his lips and cleared his throat. "I'll do it."

"What?" Taewon asked in a foreign language which made Jie's brows furrowed, so he asked again. "I mean, what?"

"I'll serve it. It's for here, right?" Jie cleared in his icy voice as he tried to get the silver tray out of Taewon's.

His eyes widened, although brief, he then put on a cute puppy-dog eyes and a little frown. Before Taewon was able to utter a word, Jie already snatched the tray and shooed him away. Taewon waved at him, thanking him, while uttering nonsense of getting back to him someday.

Jie just exhaled heavily. Taewon must have known someone in this room that he is so unwilling to serve them.

After three loud knocks, Jie entered the room with the tray in his hands.

"Ah, it's about time." The voice of an old man, probably around the same age as Han Yu, welcomed him.

Jie wandered his eyes around the room, spacious enough for thirty people, bathed with warm dim lights but enough to see that there were six people inside. Two sitting on the long three-sided sofa with alcohol class on their hands and four more standing in the darker area behind them.

"I guess there isn't anyone who's not worth looking in this club," a man in a gray suit laughed, clearly amused.

"Come a little closer, sweetheart… These old eyes aren't what they used to be. Let us have a closer look," the other man called.

Disgusting!

Jie had already heard those words even from before he was dragged here. And a lot of those times? It's either they got a broken bone or a missing tooth. He was just able to held back because Taewon was always with him.

Han Yu's earlier words suddenly came to his mind, "Tonight is a big night. Everything should be done well. Remember these three rules. Be polite. Be quick. Avoid making a scene. Or hell's cut loose."

Be polite. Be quick. Avoid making a scene. Jie already failed in the politeness department, he should be quick to avoid making a scene as it might trouble others too especially now that he is already feeling extra stingy with their early remarks.

Jie shut the door and made his way to serve the drinks on the table. He can feel the disgusting gazes of the two geezers as he puts down the beverages and some appetizers silently. He was about to leave when one of them stood and groped his butt cheek.

"You're a pretty little thing. Got any fight in you or just moans?"

And that was the last straw as Jie heard something just snaps in his mind. It's my patience. With a full swing, the silver tray in his left hand landed on the face of the bastard, printing his face on its dented surface, causing him to fall as he let out a loud groan.

Jie glared down at him. "Just fight," he answered.

Everyone in the room was unable to move for a while because of shock.

"What are you looking at? Get him!"

The body guards had only registered what had happened when the other geezer shouted. Jie can already picture Han Yu's disappointed face like he did last time as he watches the men in black go near him.

"I guess I need to stretch these stiff muscles then," Jie whispered as he tore the wrist of the uniform to make it loose.

Two of the men charged at him, trying to catch and restrain him from both sides. Already anticipated their movements, Jie swiftly escaped by going low, his foot catching the bodyguard's ankle, sending him sprawling. Before the man could react, he once again used his silver tray weapon but this time with the intention of sending him unconscious.

The other body guard was able to get ahold of him after sending the other to the dreamland, strangling him from behind which made him let go of the tray he was planning to use as a weapon to all of them. With the size of these men, brute strength is impossible for Jie as he is smaller than them. Jie tried to close his chin as much as he could, grabbing the arm with both his hands to prevent the man from choking him completely. Another man charges punch. Jie took advantage of his lightness, used the man's strength to lift himself and with a loud kick, he sent the charging man flying on the couch.

"What the fuck are you useless things doing? You only had one small fry to take care of!" The geezer's voice was hysterical.

Who wouldn't when four buff men wasn't enough to restrain a fragile looking omega? Jie would be if it were him in his shoes. Too bad he's that fragile omega that can't be stopped by these unreliable buff guards.

Feeling rushed, the man choking him used more strength that Jie felt the need to gasp for air. He needed to escape this hold, aside from he was choking, he felt this guy was already dripping in sweat. How utterly disgusting!

Jie stepped aside and hit the man in the groin with all of his might. Jie found the chance to elbow him in the face when he expectedly hung his head down, making his grip on Jie lose. Jie removed them completely and punched the pressure point on his hand making the man grunt in pain.

He then turns his head to the new charging guards. With a swift move, Jie targeted his knees, a roundhouse kick on it making him lose strength on his leg and fell.

The fight dragged longer and Jie was already so indulged that he was having a great time. Throwing a punch, kicking, jumping around, even hitting the geezers when he had the chance. This is his element and not serving jerks, bastards, asshole perverts.

He was having even more fun when more joined when the geezer called for reinforcements. However, it was cut short when a cold, authoritative voice echoed the room.

"Enough!"

With that one single word, it held so much power that the men in black automatically stopped in attacking Jie and stepped back.

Jie, who just decided to roam his gaze around, found out that there was already a crowd of people gossiping a bit far from the doorway while by the doorway, what caught his attention the most was the man with dark cold cognac eyes staring at him as though he was a small prey.

Jie felt his skin crawl, not because of his cold stares but because he just remembered that he was supposed to run to the restroom and he has to go now.
