Chapter 7 : The wild Capital - third class city
Two months had passed and I was beginning to think this veyl guy didn't know where he was going. Of course it all made sense, all I had been doing was just fighting creatures here and there. While he was busy picking sthupid herbs, how long is this supposed to go on, I'm going to confront him.
"Hey veyl!!!!!!!!". I lounged from behind pining him to the ground, "you really thought I was too naive not to know that you didn't know where you were going???, did you really think I'm that stupid you're just using me to stay alive!!!!!!, did you think I wouldn't notice???". I asked. staring at him deep in the eyes trying to catch my breath with all that shouting. frustration clearly written on my face, .
"Calm down,calm down", he said with a smug on his face".
"you should be grateful, I noticed that the more you fight your powers grow so I decided to give you a boost before heading to the capital, and by the way....". He paused pointing his finger towards the sky, indicating that I should look.
I turned to look and saw the most magnificent view in the world. It was a ring .
"That's the second class city way bigger than the third class, ". He said.
WOW. I thought the wild was a deadly ground where all the creatures had the goal to annihilate the human race. Still fascinated by the giant ring floating in the sky. "the first class city ring is covered in the clouds ",he added.
We walked towards the gate of the third class city. it was still a two or three days journey but its walls were now in sight. I smiled looking at the distance. I am going to get stronger and defeat the fate master. then the LI clan will definitely see my potential, Mum, Mina,wait for me.
We kept moving toward the gate, I had grown fond of veyl , we talked about the wild and our background, I also got to learn a lot about this place.
"Ay!!!, hold up!!!!!". Huh, who was that, I drew my schyte, took a stance, here at the wild everything was a threat. I looked at the hooded figure running towards us."please please please, I'm no threat". The hooded figure said taking off its hood.
What!!?. It was an old.... Should I call it a man?, it was a he, and he was old."who are you. veyl asked standing behind me.
"The name is morik." He said exhausted from running. Why didn't I sense him. from what I have learnt over these few months, I should be able to sense all living life force no matter how small.
But for some reason I couldn't sense him. Fishy?, yes. But he doesn't look like a combat type, but I still couldn't let my guard down.
"State your business". I asked looking damn serious, I let out a dark aura, aiming to claim dominance.
"You're human?!" he shouted, eyes wide, clearly ignoring my statement.
"So???, What's the big idea", I asked, dropping my schyte still alert. Looking at him straight in the eyes. He chuckled
"You don't know???" He asked, with a bright smile on his face his three eyes still freaking me out."you will get executed the moment you get near the third class gate".
What Executed. "why??" I asked him. Looking at veyl his face was blank, which probably meant he probably didn't know.
"Dunno... The Capital hasn't been friendly with the humans over the Millenniums...". he paused and scratched his beard before continuing. "probably had some to do with the past or something like that..., i dunno".
Millenniums???? What the heck. Okay it's either this old man was saying shit or humans don't really have enough information about this place , either way I had to heed his advice.
"I had no idea Li". Veyl said feeling down, clearly he didn't know, but for someone that Claims to have knowledge beyond human comprehension. this sure was a big
Disappointment to me but I didn't show. his mistake would have cost me my life. But no one is bigger than a mistake right???.
"Again why did you call us to a halt." I asked, eyes dead serious.
"Well you see you still have a few hours before reaching the capital, and since you are human you would need a disguise.'' his words were short and incomplete and that just pisses me off ''And???'' I asked impatiently.
"Well you see the qualifications for entering the wild Capital is bizarre". Morik said cleared his throat and continued ."You see weaklings aren't allowed in the capital, at the gate a match is held, and you will have to fight your way into the capital.".
I see where he's headed clearly morik wanted me to fight his way into the capital in return of disguise. "Hmph" I scoffed at his idea. "Okay" I said looking at him. "but how sure are you that I can help you get in". I asked him with a smug on my face.
"Well Judging from the way you defeated that Thyrralon serpent wolf . I say the odds are on my side". He said with utmost confidence.
Well I can't blame him since I got into the wild my life felt like a dream I had gained strength beyond my own understanding without hard work, I had never lost a battle, the pride inside me was welling up. If this was a dream then I never want to wake up.
"Okay okay let's get into that capital". Old man morik said walking towards the giant ring in the sky.
"Hold up". I said, the fact that I couldn't sense his life force still bothers me . "Your life force". I asked looking all psych, eyes wide, dark aura enveloped me.
"Oh I'm a Draemorth, cousin's to the three eyed Giants race". "What?!" I asked clearly confused, sounds like a made up name.
"Umm LI actually Draemorth are solo creatures whose life force are actually powered by themselves, giving them the ability to decide if they are alive or dead. They don't have any means of reproduction their younglings are born from the corpse of their dead parent."
Veyl said looking at the Draemorth. okay with that settled let's head to the capital.
With my ability I'm not sure anyone can defeat me.
