I was just on my bed for two days straight, thinking about my dog. I miss him. But I also kept thinking about Ami's owner. I wonder what his name is.
After a few thoughts, I got up because all I ate those two days were instant noodles, and I was craving something more delicious.
"What if I visit Ami?" I thought. I mean, I don't know where they live, but I'm assuming it's near my house since I didn't see the guy with a car or a bike.
"Nah, I think I should buy some food at the supermarket since the last time I bought groceries was a month ago," I said to myself, making a plan.
After going to the store, I showered 'cause I stink. Then I brushed my teeth, did my skincare, put on some light makeup, and wore an oversized hoodie paired with baggy pants.
"I'mma go for a walk and head to the church; I need God's presence," I mumbled, then went out.
When I arrived at the church, I saw the guy. He was wearing a simple black shirt and sweatpants. His hair was messy, and he was wearing his glasses, of course.
"Hi," I greeted him shyly.
He just nodded and moved to the side. Wow, nonchalant guys aren't really my type, but he's an exception—how dare he?
"Damn, the audacity," I muttered. Of course, I was joking; he's too handsome to be hated by me.
I talked to him again and asked, "How's Ami?"
"She's fine," he replied coldly.
"That's nice," I said. I was planning to ask his name since I forgot the last time.
"What's your name, by the way?" I asked him 'cause I knew this was my chance.
"Eryx Sile," he said. His name sounds hella attractive.
"Cool name," I said, smiling at him.
"You? What's your name?" he asked without looking at me.
"I'm Briathy Cel, nice to meet you, Eryx Sile," I introduced myself with a genuine smile.
"Aight, nice to meet you as well," he said and continued looking ahead.
"You believe in God, huh?" I asked again. I mean, I can't waste this moment.
"Of course," he replied proudly. That's nice of him.
"Slay, I guess?" I awkwardly said.
He laughed—what the hell? Bro knows he's attractive!
"Why?" he asked with a smile. I repeat: with a smile!
"Nothing, it's just that I don't really know many people who believe in God here in our country, so I'm kinda surprised."
"Yeah, same here. You're a Christian, also?" he asked again. I'm not complaining, I swear.
"Yeah, I love Jesus!" I yelled proudly, just like he did earlier—loud and proud.
"That's amazing. Anyway, I gotta go. See ya." He waved goodbye and then vanished.
"I love this day!" I shouted. Eryx Sile, thanks for keeping me alive again.
When I was done praying at the church, I went home first, picked up my guitar, and went to a nearby park. It was almost 5, so I could still see the sunset.
"This is nice," I said calmly. I also bought snacks and ate it all. I was hungry, okay!
I went home after that, changed into my pajamas, removed my makeup, did my skincare routine, and brushed my teeth.
"It's confirmed, I have a crush on Eryx Sile, and I am not ashamed to admit it." I once disliked nonchalant guys because they're always serious and quiet, but he's different.
I picked up my phone to search for his name on X and IG. I need to make a move.
"No, I don't know the spelling of his name," I thought, pulling my hair in frustration.
"It's okay, I need to at least try to find him."
"E-r-i-c Z-a-y-l?" I aggressively typed into my phone. And after an hour, I finally found his account.
"Wow, what a unique name with a unique spelling," I sarcastically said.
I followed him on IG since I couldn't find his account on X. Maybe he doesn't have one or has a different name on there.
"Good night, Eryx," I said, half-sleepy, since it was past my bedtime.
End of Chapter 2.
