Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Let's Just Look at the Seminar From Afar

Riddle-speakers, get out of Kivotos!

I wanted to scold Seia righteously, but her status was too high.

To be honest, I didn't understand at all what Seia was trying to express, or why she was telling me these things.

"Sensei, you don't need to start thinking about it now, because you haven't yet experienced the dilemma of facing a choice. Just listen to my words and remember them. One day, you will understand."

Seia saw my confusion but still adhered to her character setting of not speaking plainly, answering a riddle with a riddle.

Then, she began to explain to the other two present:

"As for my purpose in gathering all members of the Tea Party, it is simply this. Nagisa, Mika, I hope you will also remember that at this moment, in front of you both, I have confided these words to Sensei. Similarly, one day in the future, you will come to your own understanding of this."

To this, the other two members of the Tea Party had completely different attitudes.

Nagisa's expression became solemn. She lifted her teacup for a light sip, lowered her gaze, and appeared to be lost in thought.

Mika, on the other hand, wore an indifferent smile and said casually:

"Honestly Seia-chan is saying such difficult things again But, I did understand one thing. You're saying that Sensei is a trustworthy person, right?"

I wanted to ask the same, and even deeper, questions, but I couldn't.

It would be awkward if the answer was: because I've privately gathered intelligence on you and built a corresponding psychological model, I believe you are a harmless type.

It was also worth pondering why the other two members of the Tea Party didn't question this trust in a complete stranger.

After a brief moment of thought, Seia seemed to think of something and nodded reluctantly:

"You can think of it that way, but..."

"That's great~"

Interrupting Seia midway once again, Mika turned her gaze to me with great interest:

"Sensei, have you heard of Arius?"

Before I could react, I heard a sputtering sound next to me.

It was Nagisa, who had choked in shock and sprayed a mouthful of tea onto the floor. Her elegant image of a noble lady who never loses her composure was shattered in an instant.

While coughing, Nagisa quickly took out a handkerchief to wipe her mouth and said intermittently:

"Hey! Wait a moment, you haven't given up on that idea, have you? To bring it up in front of an out... Sensei..."

"Eh? What does it matter~?"

"Haah... Nagisa, don't say any more. As Mika's childhood friend, you know what she's like. I'd rather she just do what she wants to do in front of us and get it over with."

"What do you mean 'what she's like'?! But you're not wrong, Seia. I just want to get some advice from the adult that the host of the Tea Party trusts. Like a consultant? Isn't that nice~?"

Work is tough, Seia sighed.

In Seia's eyes as she looked at Mika, besides disgust, there was mostly weariness:

It's truly difficult to communicate with a fool who has zero political acumen, always acts before she thinks, and became a faction representative through force rather than wisdom.

At the same time, hearing this, both Nagisa and I had a slight change in expression:

Make Schale's Sensei a consultant for the Tea Party? Do you really think the great Trinity is invincible?

"Schale is very busy, so I'll have to pass on being a consultant!" I quickly refused, but fearing I might anger Mika, I added, "But if it's just as a teacher, accepting a student's life counseling and giving some insignificant advice, that's no problem. I haven't heard of Arius. Could you tell me more about it?"

"Of course~ Arius is a branch school of Trinity. They became independent many years ago. I was thinking, since we're all originally Trinity students, why don't we merge again?"

It sounded like there was no problem.

However, Nagisa couldn't help but speak up:

"Mika, if you don't mind, let me explain the details to Sensei."

"That's fine, you can do it, Nagisa."

Then, Nagisa meticulously recounted the history of Trinity's founding and the feud with the Arius branch school...

So, Trinity was a union of multiple academies, which explained its special system of having multiple student council presidents.

And the Arius branch school was the opposition, used as a target by the newly established Trinity to display its power and was expelled by force.

Hearing this, I was already struggling to keep a straight face.

Alright, even in the war-torn Kivotos, perhaps peace is a common pursuit of the wise. Coupled with the drive for profit, let's just assume the Arius branch school could let go of its hatred for Trinity.

But after Nagisa vaguely pointed out the tense relationship between Trinity and Gehenna, and how the originally agreed-upon non-aggression [Eden Treaty] had been shelved due to the GSC President's disappearance, with peace only maintained because their military strengths were comparable...

I could only look at Ms. Misono Mika, whose cute face was full of innocence, with a complicated expression.

I didn't know if she was a warmonger, just another fool, or both.

Either way, it was the familiar feeling of unreliability. It made me miss Yuuka even more.

Fortunately, the other members of the Tea Party were opposed to this outlandish idea.

I mulled it over for a moment and tactfully expressed my opinion:

"Miss Mika's idea, I think, hmm, is quite good. At least the intention is good."

"However, to implement it, a more thorough plan and a more appropriate time are needed."

"What are the steps for implementation, what accidents might occur, and how should they be handled if they do..."

"In general, this matter is quite troublesome. It needs more research."

Mika nodded as if she half-understood and gave Seia a triumphant smile:

"Hah Seia-chan See, see, Sensei supports me too! Hahaha!"

Huh?

Which eye did you use to see that I was supporting you?

For a moment, everyone present, except for Mika who was laughing victoriously, was speechless.

Fortunately, the topic ended there.

The rest of the time was filled with casual chat to get to know each other better and enjoy delicious refreshments, just like a normal tea party.

It was clear that as long as they didn't talk about official business, the three members of the Tea Party got along quite well.

Although Seia and Mika had opposite temperaments, one cold and one hot, with Nagisa mediating, not only did it not affect the harmonious atmosphere, but it actually added a bit of vitality. Even their mutual teasing felt a bit like a comedy routine.

At least I found it quite entertaining.

Hosted by the Tea Party, I spent a pleasant morning. The trip to the Tea Party ended successfully. Well, probably.

In the afternoon, I toured the ancient buildings within Trinity by myself and attended a service at the cathedral under the guidance of a cute orange-haired beast-eared nun.

As it neared the end of the school day, according to my schedule, I waited in a dessert shop outside the school.

I hope it goes smoothly.
