Chapter 8 - r@ped

Endless Nights 8

The following morning

Alessia

Upon awakening, I was startled to find Mandy beside my bed, a cup of tea in hand, and I exclaimed, "Could it be that you are frightening me? Why are you positioned in my room, gazing at me as if you have a desire to consume me?"

Mandy promptly responded, "I apologize for scaring you, Ale. I prepared some tea for you. How do you feel today?"

"I do not require tea; I need to go to the hospital immediately. If I am indeed pregnant, I intend to terminate the pregnancy," I murmured as I emerged from beneath the blanket. I proceeded to the bathroom to wash my face, followed by brushing my teeth. I then returned to my room, donned a lengthy yellow dress, styled my hair into a ponytail, and wore my sunglasses.

"Are you accompanying me?" I inquired of Mandy, who smiled faintly and nodded.

"Did you take the card that Dav provided to you?" she asked.

"Oh, I was under the impression that you did not wish to spend that money. Is that your intention? Have you given thought to the proposal? After utilizing his funds, we would need to reciprocate by working for him. However, Alessia, how do you plan to work with a baby in your womb?"

"I have stated that I will terminate this pregnancy today."

"Do you genuinely believe that is a sound decision? To kill? Oh no! My lovely Aunty Alessia, you cannot possibly consider yourself a murderer, can you?"

"Understand that I have no issue carrying a child, just not one fathered by Ethan."

"Very well... let us proceed. Our driver has already arrived," Mandy indicated as we exited. We secured our main door and made our way to the gate. To my astonishment, I felt a sense of impending panic upon noticing Dav seated in the car. I should have anticipated this, as it was orchestrated by Mandy. I turned to her and inquired,

"What is he doing here? Is he our driver?"

Mandy gestured for silence, saying, "Hurry, you will sit in the front, and I will occupy the back seat, alright?"

"Do you have his contact information? How is that feasible? Did you call him this morning to arrange our transportation?" I whispered.

Mandy replied discreetly, "I retrieved his number from your phone. Recall that your phone is not password-protected."

"Alessia, we are in a precarious situation," she exclaimed. Mandy hastily opened the front door. I reluctantly entered but was already irked. I took out my phone to send a message to Mandy.

📱...I really hope you didn't mention the pregnancy to him again. If you did, I swear I'm going to be furious with both of you.

"Relax, Alessia! What's with that face? Smile! Just say 'Good morning, Handsome' or 'Mr. Billionaire.' Can't you see he's head over heels for you?"

📱...You're just a kid; you really don't understand love, you little troublemaker. Just be quiet, okay? He might like me, but it's definitely not because of this pregnancy," I typed and hit send. David then glanced at me and said,

"Busy texting someone, huh? Anyway, good morning, beautiful!"

"Well, I was messaging someone... Yeah, good morning to you too." I wanted to add 'handsome,' but kept it to myself. He started driving us to the hospital; it seemed Mandy had already given him the heads up.

Before long, he placed his hand on my thigh, and it felt like I got zapped with electricity. I quickly moved his hand away and asked,

"What are you doing?"

"Oh, I'm sorry! I just wanted to apologize. Mandy and I were chatting last night, and she mentioned your Aunty Gini is in the hospital. I felt bad and asked if I could visit her. She said yes, which is why I came to pick you guys up," he whispered. I looked at him and replied,

"I thought you were aware; you mentioned Aunty Gini yesterday, right?"

"Oh, yeah, yeah, but I got all the details last night. Do you mind if I cover her treatment?"

"What's the catch, David Maynard? No one just pays someone's bills without a reason," I asked.

"Oh, you think I'd say I want your body... oh wait, we have a kid here," he said, glancing at Mandy. "Sorry about that, Mandy," he added.

We arrived at the hospital, and as we got out, Mandy whispered,

"Go and see the doctor. I'll take Mr. David to my mom, okay?"

"Cool, sounds good," I replied. I hurried into the hospital, headed straight for where the doctors were, and asked,

"Good morning! Where can I get a blood test and a pregnancy test?"

"Head to room 05; by the way, you're really beautiful, Miss," one of the male doctors said

"Thanks!" I replied as I walked to the room. When I entered, it was empty. Just as I was about to leave, I bumped into that same male doctor. He looked at me and said,

"Lie down on the bed. Let me help you." I laid down, and he turned on the machine to check what was happening inside me. He switched on the TV and said,

"Look at the screen; check out what's going on in there." I relaxed and watched the screen. Before long, I saw a head, and I was totally shocked. I was actually pregnant? I turned to the doctor and asked,

"How many months along am I? I never missed my period; how is this possible?"

"Well, about 80% of women can have their periods while pregnant, and you're one of them. It's totally normal. You're about four months pregnant."

"Four months??? You must be kidding me! How can that baby be four months old without me having a clue? Can you do me a favor?"

"What is it you desire? Are you proposing marriage? Very well, I shall agree, for you possess great beauty."

"My intention is not to wed; I implore you to assist me in terminating this pregnancy," I stated, eliciting a laugh from the doctor who replied,

"I will comply only under one condition: engage in intimacy with me now, and I shall perform the procedure at no cost."

"Are you completely out of your mind? That is out of the question!" I retorted, only for the doctor to step closer and seize my throat.

"There is no way I would allow a beautiful girl such as yourself to slip away without experiencing her." He then secured the door and began to remove his garments. I attempted to rise from the bed and scream, but I soon realized that I had already been sedated; I was rendered immobile.

**David Maynard**

"Mandy, I encountered your mother, and her condition is quite grave. However, do not be alarmed. I will rectify the situation; place your trust in me."

"Thank you, Mr. David."

"Now, where might Alessia be? Please check her whereabouts, as I require a private discussion with a physician," I whispered. The young girl promptly exited, leaving me with the doctor, to whom I said,

"Mrs. Gini must receive exemplary care. I am willing to pay whatever is necessary, plus an additional sum should it be required."

"Understood, sir."

"Excellent. Be meticulous, for any mistakes could result in your termination. When it concerns those I hold dear, errors are unacceptable. Ensure that cancer is eradicated permanently. Is that clear?"

"Yes, sir..." replied the doctor.

"Thank you. I believe it's time for me to take my leave," I announced, but the doctor grasped my hand, saying,

"I apologize for the interruption. Mrs. Gini has regained consciousness and appears to have overheard your conversation." I turned to the elderly woman on the bed, approached her, and took her hand, assuring her,

"You will recover."

"Thank you, my dear. I do not know you, yet you exhibit such kindness. Who might you be?"

"I am merely a secret admirer of your niece."

"That is lovely, but when you marry, are you not going to—" she could not complete her thought, as a fit of coughing interrupted her. I released her hand and exited the room.

As I stepped outside, Mandy rushed into my embrace, whispering,

"Alessia is located in room number 05, but the door is locked. I fear something dreadful is occurring. I listened closely and heard a male voice calling out. I was reluctant to capture the essence of his words..." I hurried to that room, attempting to open the door, but it was secured. I knocked forcefully...

"What do you seek? Is it so difficult to exhibit respect? Why are you knocking? ... Oh, wait. You are the heir to the Maynard lineage, correct? My apologies, how may I assist you?"

"Step aside," I commanded. I entered the room, only to find it empty. Turning back to the doctor, I inquired,

"Where is Alessia? The young girl who resided in this room?"

"A-a,—" he stammered

"Speak clearly! I demand to know the whereabouts of Alessia. Mandy, please retrieve the firearm located in the trunk of my vehicle. I am prepared to take any necessary measures for her safety, so I politely ask once more,

"Where is the girl?"
