Chapter 29 - Please and Thank You (I)

--[Patty Patterson]--

I couldn't help but be a bit nervous as I walked up to the restaurant a good two hours before I usually clocked in for my shift. Just a couple of hours earlier, I had gotten a text from Megan alerting me to the change. However, she didn't clue me into the purpose behind the shift.

Of course, I wasn't completely clueless. I knew that Meg stayed behind after I left, and judging from how she acted and dressed yesterday, I could say with confidence that there was a roughly 90% chance she had slept with Ramon.

A reality I had mixed feelings about, as I remembered Ramon's teasing advice, blatantly telling me that I could have been the one to end up in his bed. But while I was somewhat regretful, I was happy that Meg finally found a guy who understood what a treasure she was.

"Hopefully, it won't be long before I find my own raven-haired, blue-eyed man with devlish charm." Speaking it out loud, I could help but sigh at the improbability of it all.

Shaking my head to clear it of the depressing thoughts, I reached out to grab the front door, only for it to fly open as Meg peered out from inside, "God, I was wondering when you were going to get here!"

I jumped back with a yelp before I let out a sigh and put a hand over my racing heart, "What the fuck! Are you trying to give me a heart attack!?"

Meg grinned, and for a moment, I was stunned. The sunlight from above seemed to hit her face at the perfect angle, bringing out every ounce of her natural charm.

"Patty?"

I blinked, breaking free of the stupor, "S-sorry, what did you say?"

"Are you alright?" Meg asked, concerned as she peered at me from behind her glasses, and again I found myself being pulled in by her looks even though I couldn't say what exactly about her had changed.

"Y-yeah, but have you done something with your skin, a new makeup routine?" I asked as Meg stepped aside, letting me into the restaurant.

A knowing smile spread across Meg's lips, "No, nothing like that, though I appreciate the compliment."

"Uh-huh," I replied unconvincingly, but not willing to press the issue, "So what's the reason Ramon wanted me to show up early? Has something changed?"

Meg's smile broadened, and she shot me a meschivous look, "A lot, but we can talk about that in the kitchen, now come on, Ramon's waiting."

My body had a physical reaction to Meg's words as my heart started to pound in my chest and my throat tightened. But I didn't turn around or even voice my suspicion; instead, I meekly followed behind my friend, who was acting like an entirely new person, with her hips swaying side to side, turning her walk into a strut.

Even though I considered myself solely attracted to men, I couldn't help but be entranced by the hypnotic movement of Meg's hips and behind.

'I wonder if that's Ramon's type...though he did say he wanted both of us...did he say something similar to Meg?'

My mind was a whirlwind of nervous and exciting questions, now certain that I was in store for something that I would never forget.

However, as Meg opened the kitchen door and we walked inside, I found that there was nothing amiss. In fact, everything was exactly as it should be with Ramon standing in front of the grill, and the air was heavy with the scent of food being cooked. It was rich and buttery with a slight smoky flavor, and I couldn't help but wonder what Ramon was cooking.

Still, after all the buildup, it would have been less jarring to find the kitchen converted into a sex dungeon. I breathed a soft sigh of relief and also slight disappointment, which prompted Ramos to turn around and smile at me, "Oh, good, you're here, and just in time. I'm just about done."

"D-done with what?" I asked as Meg dipped out of view, only to return with two chairs that she sat in front of the plating table.

She then promptly sat down before gesturing to me to join her, which I did after a moment of hesitation.

"Alright, here we are," Ramon said as he stepped away from the grill and turned around, revealing he had two plates in his hand.

My eyes immediately dipped down to the expertly plated food, and in an instant, my mouth was watering, 'Oh my god, that looks so good!'

"Two orders of Charred Leek & Lobster Mille-Feuille served with a lemon-infused white wine fennel reduction," Ramon announced as he set down one plate in front of me and the other in front of Megan.

The dish consisted of three square pieces of delicate puff pastry that sandwiched two layers of rich green filling speckled with meaty chunks of buttery lobster. The Mille-Feuille was then generously drizzled with a bright green dressing that glistened and elevated the dish to an entirely new level.

"T-this looks amazing," I muttered as Ramon placed a spoon next to each place, "B-but isn't Mille-Feuille a French dessert?"

Ramon nodded, "Yes, but I decided I wanted something a bit more savory, so I kept the puff pastry and switched the sweet cream filling. I'm thinking of putting it on tonight's menu, so please don't hold back on the criticism and tell me what you think."

"Don't mind if I do," Meg responded eagerly as she picked up her spoon.

Following her example, I pressed the edge of my spoon against the top pastry layer only for it to immediately shatter like it was made of glass. I

Once my spoon was filled, I brought the bite up to my mouth and took a tentative taste.

My eyes shot open as a rich, smoky flavor spread through my mouth. Though just before the sweet lobster and tang of the leek could overwhelm my taste buds, the white wine lemon reduction cut through the filling.

With deliberate slowness, I chewed the food in my mouth, having to suppress a moan as I bit through a buttery chunk of lobster, then a crisp fragment of pastry. The contrast was heavenly.

"Mhhm, oh my god, and I thought your French toast was good," Meg moaned, not bothering to hide her reaction as she went for another bite, "You definitely have to put this on the menu tonight."

"Y-yeah, the lobster is so tender, I usually expect it to be a bit chewy." I agreed, while trying to ignore the fact that Meg had just indirectly admitted to eating breakfast with Ramon, meaning she had slept over.

"That's because I poached it in a beurre monté, which is a type of French butter sauce, before dicing and folding it into the leek puree." Ramon explained as he watched Megan and me enjoy his cooking, "Though the most challenging part was making the reduction. I had to emulsify the white wine and fennel puree with grapeseed oil and keep it from separating. Not gonna like it took me a few times to get it just right."

"Well, I'm glad you didn't give up because this is amazing," Meg muttered as she licked her spoon clean after having already polished off her plate, "So good, that I think it deserves a reward...don't you agree, Patty?"

I froze my spoon halfway to my mouth as Meg's voice dropped to a sultry octave, sending another tingling wave down my spine, "W-what?"

"A reward," Meg repeated as she stood up from her chair and walked around the table to stand next to Ramon, "After all, we don't want poor Ramon to think that we're ungrateful and don't appreciate him cooking this wonderful meal for us, do we?"

"N-no," I stammered as Meg pressed herself against Ramon, molding herself to his body, "O-of course not."

"Then what are you still doing in your chair?" Megan asked as she looked into my eyes, "Why don't you come over here and thank him properly?"

I swallowed hard, and my entire body flushed with heat as my heart started to pound audibly in my chest. Longing and desire were running rampant in my mind, but I couldn't move. I was stuck to my chair, completely frozen in place.

"Patty."

Ramon's calm, but unyielding voice grabbed my attention, and I looked over to find his dark blue eyes fixated on me, "Y-yes."

Ramon didn't reply right away; instead, for a split second, his eye color seemed to shift, gaining a violet hue. But my mind didn't fathom it for long as Ramon spoke once more, his voice reverberating in my ears like the sweetest melody, "Come to me."

"O-okay," I replied in a dreamy voice, and before I realized it, I stood up from the chair and walked around the table, though my eyes never left Ramon's.

I felt like I was in a trance as I walked over, but the pleasurable haze dulling my mind was too sweet to reject, nor did I want to. It was as if I had been freed of all inhibitions and liberated.

Walking around, I stood in front of Ramon and Meg, my heart hammering as I felt two hungry gazes roam over every inch of my body, "W-what do you want me to do?"

Ramon grinned as his hand wrapped around Meg's waist and trailed down to her ass, where he grabbed a handful, making her eyelids flutter. "Get down on your knees, I want to see those big, beautiful eyes of yours looking up at me."
