The tide is rising. New voices move toward the heart of the story. To keep their faces clear in your mind, here are the ones whose fates are now bound together:
Lyra – Last surviving daughter of the Elain bloodline. Unaware she carries the pulse of the Drowned King, her heartbeat is counting down to something she doesn't yet understand. Haunted by the loss of her parents and younger sister.
Keal – Alpha of the Moonbound Pack. Fiercely protective of Lyra, bound to her by more than loyalty. Has already defied his pack to keep her safe.
The Drowned King – An ancient force bound to the deep waters. Can only return through a living vessel of his bloodline. His presence now stirs.
Mireth (The Seer) – An old river-witch who once knew Lyra's mother. Keeper of drowned prophecies. Now on a journey to find Lyra before the King's servants reach her.
The Tide Servant – A supernatural hunter bound to the Drowned King, wearing the stolen skin of a man. Can pass unseen when it chooses, and hears the tide's commands in its bones. Tasked with claiming Lyra alive.
Elara – Lyra's younger sister, believed to have drowned before she was two. Her fate is far stranger, her soul bound to the river realm. She has begun to watch the living again.
Ravik – A rogue wolf from the fractured Northern Pack. Carries scars from battles both with man and beast. His loyalty is unpredictable, but his knowledge of the wild paths could mean survival — or betrayal.
Selune – A pale-eyed shadow tracker who hunts under the drowned moon. Serves neither wolf nor man, answering only to whoever holds her true name. Rumor says she once hunted the Seer herself.
The Moonbound Pack – Keal's wolf-shifter kin. Once hunted Lyra after seeing her powers, but pulled back after her display of strength. Not all of them have given up their pursuit.
